Oh my god I can't believe you gotta hate on ubisoft. Just because they released a game with literal seven pages of microtransactions(Tom clancy), making a beloved series bland as hell (Assassin's Creed), their lead game director admitting that the games he makes are NOT supposed to be fun....wait what was I trying to defend again?
That's actually literally in the show. I think Ubisoft just had to do with the cinematics and fake video game in the show. It's not something promoting them.
Do you capture the raw exploitation of labour, high stress, and constant pressure to meet deadlines and push terrible unfinished products?
No that would be interesting to watch and have real emotion.
Lol.. there’s a show called I think here and now about a family of children and three are adopted, one is a game developer with these pressures working on a game close to his heart.
sid mas yep and women in the workplace as well. They tackled a lot of issues actually. Even the episode with that quiet death game. Shows actually a gem. And the assistant Jo 😂😂😂👌🏼 whoever wrote her character in is a genius.
If you watch the show, it actually talks about that. Suits vs Creatives etc etc

This show is actually really great, binged it in 2 days and I love and feel for all the characters, pretty great if you ask me.

I watched it, they're not wrong.
Two reasons I'm hopeful for the show:
- Rob and Charlie
All the reasons I'm not:
- Apple
- Ubisoft
- the trailer is more concerned about telling me about the diverse cast, than actual entertaining scenes
- I legit didn't even chuckle at anything in this trailer
The show is gonna have a hard time due to apple+ alone, but this trailer didn't do it any favours.

No, It’s actually really funny. I’d highly recommend watching it. It actually addresses a lot of diversity related stuff(I don’t know how to describe it) later in the show.

@@ranadelrey7383 Watched the pilot 30 minutes ago, stopped after ~25 and went to KRplus, wanting to see whether my opinion is pure singularity and I'm just too negative about the show - seems I'm not.
The whole "game" just looks like a collection of Ubisoft mechanics (leap of faith, For Honor's battle system, ...) mashed into WoW - turns out Ubisoft actually was on board and seemingly wants to remind the viewer of how great of an experience their games are...
Besides that the whole "we are so diverse" + "women are treated unfairly" + "we are LGBTQ+ oriented with our in-your-face-obvious lesbian character" kinda threw me off.
So instead of wasting any more time, I'll just watch The Office or It's Always Sunny...
@@BigBossBernie I actually watched a few episodes, cos ya know, optimism! The forced wokeness does ramp down a bit. Not enough to want to finish the series but I guess it's not made for me.
Oh btw! It's really worth checking out episode 5, it's a stand alone episode with none of the BS. Really wish he'd just made that one episode. It's actually really good.
