I must say it is a little bit, but as a die hard Splinter Cell fan I must politely disagree just due to the fact that before he did any solo work in Splinter Cell he had an extensive military career with the NAVY SEALS which is certainly team oriented, so while it is unusual it won't be a out of character moment necessarily.
i mean canonically Sam doesn't go into the field with Rainbow Six, he just trains and leads them.

The problem is Ubisoft doesn't like doing single-player linear campaigns anymore.
And Splinter Cell wouldn't really work as an open-world game unless it worked like the newer Sniper Elite games where each map was a large sandbox for you to tackle objectives in any order.

Graphics on PS3 are terrible, but the overall game design is still magic.

@Lord Chanka Fisher was planned before the pandemic, but I've heard that since Michael has medical issues and no actual interest to voice Sam, he couldn't even risk voicing him due to the pandemic.

Tho I personally think when they eventually release his Elite skin, it's going to be a classic Sam Fisher with his echelon suit and goggles. Ubi knows everyone would want that, so they'll use it as a way to make extra money by making it an elite.

Splinter Cell is just grave robbed for assets in other games at this point, and it feels like the studio's involved are being disingenuous to both the fans of the series, and to Clancy himself. I bet he's looking down at this in disappointment because this is what happened to a great series. Its like taking an artists paintings, ripping them apart, and using cheap glue and sticking it on quickly scrawled upon sheets of blank office papers, and selling them to your co-workers as "professionally made" art to display in their cubicles so they have something to look at instead of a blank wall on their break.
Don't get me wrong, Siege is alright, but the fact that they keep doing this to the Splinter Cell series is heartbreaking, its been 8 whole years since a new game (10 for some since some fans don't even want to mention Blacklist even exists), and no information has been given out saying "we aren't giving up on the series." It really feels like instead of retiring the series in a spectacular way, they really just want it to fade into dust and just let it be forgotten and only use the assets for bad marketing schemes harping on nostalgia. This looks more like a disservice to Clancy's writings and to the series as a whole as they just keep doing this to one of their Flagship franchises.

nothing about this character is sam fisher except the name. ironside didnt do the voice and no sign of his signature googles.
They're hanging off his backpack. His model looks like the old Conviction artwork before that game released. Tho I think Ubisoft did this on purpose because they know people want Sam Fisher with his iconic Echelon suit and goggles on his head. So I wouldn't put it past them to make that his Elite skin when they eventually get around to making one for him. That's one of the easiest way for them to make money. Selfish but smart.

I dont think its ACTUALLY Sam Fisher. His name changes to the Codename Zero. I'm assuming he is just someone who is apart of sam fishers "teachings" hes the same sort of special forces, but not actually him
@@brandonsclips7741 Uh... Do you actually read character bios in Siege like at all? They all have real names outside of their codenames. They wouldn't just flash Sam Fisher and switch it to Zero and say it's an entirely different character. Besides, if it was gonna be someone based on Sam's teachings, it would be Briggs, not someone we haven't ever seen before.

They've told us they have big plans for splinter cell and Fisher's VA himself(Italian at least) has said they're making a new game. Ever heard of marketing? Building up hype?
