Riders Republic look's like a mix of Steep and Trials. I kinda like it, looks pretty fun.
I hope it is like steep how you can change your “sport” on the go. Like going from snowboarding to mountain biking instantly

@FlaaFlaa Flunky They improved a lot; I played the beta back then and hated it so much; then a couple of years later tried it out because it was on sale; and I'm not sure if they actually changed it, but the controls felt much better (aside from the flying sports, they feel unsatisfying), the trick system also felt more arcadey; which maybe wasn't what people wanted, but it made the game more fun.

I knew the Tony Hawk remaster was just going to be the start of the og style games coming back I LIKE THIS
Session, skater XL, descenders, BMX Streets Pipe, BMX the game, skate 4, the snowboard game, shredders, mark McMorris infinite air, and many more, Tony Hawk is along for the ride, I don’t think it started the trend 😂

As long as the progression is simplified a bit from steep to make it more gameplay focused than I think that this will be great

well, it practically is. Same studio, same engine, same assets, and mostly the same animations for ski and snowboard.

I hope this game caters to players who like realism and professional mtb/downhill racing and not just freestyle, and I'm assuming there will be an offline career mode? I didn't see anything mentioned about single player

If only there could be an exercise bike addon, so you could just casually ride a bike down the road with all sorts of people from around the world. Sounds boring, but would be perfect for winter.
the technology exist, but the “game” isnt as good looking/fun as this. and there is a huge community into it
