Did anyone noticed that in Armour design: Most types of armour in the West favor "protection", full on "plates armor" & if possible, wearing many kinds of light/medium/heavy armors at once's. While in the East they favor "mobility", flexible design, many kinds of "scale armor" and combined light/medium/heavy armor parts into one single suits. Of course this doesn't mean Western armors are stronger & Eastern armors are lighter & faster: a set of Italian or German full plate armors ( late medieval - early renaissance ) did cover you from head to toes, but still have a surprisingly good mobiliy, able to jump, clim, role and sprint at full speed. A Samurai armors in the Sengoku period are way more advanced & lighter than it predecessor, but if you holding the armor vest "alone" it's weight doesn't different than most knight vest armor ( but most knight wear more extra weight like mail armor or gamberson also ). Also, when you look in the Middle East, most armor design are combination of Western & Eastern influence, like the Ottoman Turk Cavalry armour: Chain Mail shirt and Plate combined, people said it could be call a "medium" to "heavy" armor.
I watched gameplay of this character and so far I am beyond impressed. His combat style is smooth and swift yet deadly to the touch. Like seriously, out of all the wu lin, this guy is by far my favorite. 8/10 for this guy (-2 points because of the unlockable finishers)
Everyone commenting on how his sword is the same as Kensei's it's actually a zhanmadao, not a nodachi. Also his moveset will likely be a lot different to Kensei as it's Chinese wushu, not Japanese kenjutsu. However, the zhanmadao was the Chinese inspiration for the Japanese zanbato, which was an older version of the nodachi.
I think it should be miaodao（苗刀）which discovered in Ming dynasty not zhanmadao which discovered in Tang Dynasty.Zhanmadao （斩马刀）has the same length of knife-blade and knife-handle,and it’s true that zhanmadao is much older than nodshi.
@@austinpan520 The miaodao was the smallest variation of the dao sword, a one-handed variation of the dadao, which is what Tiandi uses. It makes more sense for this hero to use a zhanmadao since it's a heavy hero.
For you guys wondering, zhanhu, the hero, translates from mandarin to ‘War Tiger’, I’m not sure if that is 100% correct as I put this through google translate
So if we can get a wu lin character with a weapon thats already very similair to one of the samurai character's, i can still have hope that we can get a great sword/zweihander/montante/spadone knight vanguard, one that would grip their sword by the guard because of how tall it would be.
This character would be the only one that I would like to buy on the Xbox store but I already have the other characters from this year if Ubisoft sells each individual character for quarter of the price of whole collection of this years characters I would consider buying...

Zhanmadao was made in the time of the Han Dynasty. Miaodao was created in later ming Dynasty
