Quick note, on the V50 ThinQ 5G, when the dual screen accessory is in use, the main screen resolution is downgraded to Full HD+ to match the second screen resolution. This is done automatically and even stays when the dual screen case is taken off.
i wish you review more the dual screen because im so really invested with this feature
I preferred the regular finger print reader, 1440P, and the secure face unlock, but they have to cut cost to get you a dual screen for under $1000.
Still a tremendous and unique value compared to the samsung and huawei foldables, and more useful as you can simply use it out of the case like a regular phone when needed.
Yeah Even the current Samsung and xiaomis are a garbage with respect to quality and price that phone is still an excellent option in 2023 Large LG ❤❤
Thank you for the proper overview. All of the American channels seem to want to discuss the dual screen aspect, but ignore the rest of the phone. Some even called it "underwhelming". I fully disagree, and think that this device caters to those that want performance over gimmicks.

this device looks awesome,I am waiting for the release of LG G8X here in Europe (but it is annoying that it takes so long...), besides the lack of still not really that wide spread 5G it is a full package with that fun dual screen case, great job by LG

I have done a factory reset. It works but after a little use it turns off again.
When I want to run it again, this sentence appears : use the app after attaching dual screen again.

LG PLS! Slim bezels! That is horrid to watch, seems a 2015 smartphone. I own the LG V35 and been using it for about 2 years, awsome, battery is as good as day one, all is fantastic in this phone and been LG user since LG G2, then got G3, V10, V20 and now V35, planing on getting V50, but I think I'm not getting the V50S although has few upgrades I like:
Sensor on screen, smaller notch, more ram and more storage.

LG made it extremely messy to have some many diff names for basically same model. It is very hard for average customers to pick models

So let us review, going from the V50 to the V50S, we: Lost a camera, did NOT get the SD 855+ chip, gained 2 GB of RAM (which only makes it competitive), evened out the resolution between the two screens (at the cost of lowering the res on the main screen), gained a dim external display, and a slightly larger dual screen. Hummmmmmmm, doesn't really seem to be an upgrade! More like a tweek. I love LG, but to be honest, this is actually disappointing. Hey Asus, let me see that ROG phone 2,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,Holycrap it has what ?! For how much ? Damn, I think I'll take one :-)
