He's the only person out there that cares about ANYBODY's 11 game stretch. It eats him alive that it obviously takes more than 11 good games, where you still got carried by your run game and O-line, to be seen as an elite QB in the NFL. Here is something Shannon should throw out at Skip. Josh Freeman was drafted 17th overall by Tampa Bay in 2009. He had a pretty pedestrian rookie year. 2010 comes along and he has a 61.4 completion percentage, 25 touchdowns to 6 interceptions and the 7th best QBR in the league. Next two seasons of bad play and Freeman is out of Tampa. My point is that there are plenty of quarterbacks who can come in and have a good season or a good stretch of games when everything is clicking. It's another thing when they have to do it over a long period of time and prove they deserve that next contract. Baker didn't.
