Just revisiting. What has always made him unique & different is he always knows what to attempt (and usually succeeds) in abnormal situations. During this play he simply knew attempting to throw right-handed had a major chance of the ball getting riped out of his right arm/hand. He knew exactly what needed to be for a successful play. Like I said he mentally & physically practices these things. It's a blast to watch. And being a Chiefs fan since I was 6 living in KC. I'm going to enjoy this for the next 15 yrs.I was 5 & remember going to my great-uncle's house to watch SB 1.

what impressed me most about mahomes was not the comeback although that was pretty great. What impressed about him is the patience. this is the kinda game where most qbs start forcing things, not playing well, on the road against a defense that had been stingy, next thing you know a couple of picks are thrown. Even when his team kept losing plays on penalties, he didn't force the issue. Thats what can make him great. He really does take what they give. kudos to the coaching staff as well. i noticed that all the teams that gave up on the run early when behind pretty much this week lost their games. they feel like they have to throw 60 times when they are down 7 in the second quarter and i don't get that. hard to keep em honest that way.

D-Hall, spot on....what he did for Mcnabb, Vick, Alex Smith & Mahomes, these guys were all taken in the 1st round....Think about all the 1st round QBs that were unable to replicate their success in the college or considered busts....In other words if you were taken in the 1st round Andy Reid will unlock the potential....All the QBS I listed had their best seasons under this QB whisper.

Also bringing up the past about our fast starts are ridiculous, are the chiefs just supposed to lose for the sake of not having a fast start? No, every NFL team wish they could start 4-0 but since the chiefs aren’t a traditional winning team people want this franchise to stay down. With Mahomes that ain’t happening and all y’all know it

Dudes playing great, no doubt about that. I want to see him have a bad game however to see how he'll rebound after. Will he continue being shaky after? Will he rebound with multiple TDs? This is what will make him great.
I'm also wanting to see consistency season to season before declaring him "great". One hit wonders do happen. I'm hoping he'll stay course and improve in doing so. The chiefs potentially got a diamond out of him if he can stay consistent season to season, they'll have their guy for the next 10+ years.

Dak, RG3, Cam and Big Ben have had the best rookie QB debuts.

I just wish Skip would be way more consistent with his arguments. He calls out Mahomes for not playing well for 3 quarters and points out his lack of passing yards (159), yet when Dak Prescott struggles to hit 200 yards in entire games Skip says nothing. Tom Brady gets the ball batted out of his hand in the SB, skip says it's not his fault (I agree), yet when the same thing happens to Kirk Cousins against the Rams it's all his fault. Be more consistent SKIUUP!

I can't stand Skip. He's just mad that Mahomes was given the opportunity to learn as a rookie and not have to worry about leading the team right away. I think a lot of rookie QBs could benefit from that kind of situation especially if they have a guy like Smith to watch and learn from.
