The New York Giants had a chance to tie the game on a 2-point conversion attempt in the final minute, but Daniel Jones’pass to Dion Lewis was slightly off target and the refs picked up a flag for a possible pass interference call on Bucs rookie safety Antoine Winfield Jr. Hear what Skip Bayless and Shannon Sharpe have to say about the pass interference.

Seattle barely beat the Vikings and patriots.
Chiefs barely beat the patriots without cam. The chiefs also lost to the raiders.
The packers got absolutely manhandled by the Vikings and lost.
The titans got clapped by the terrible bengals and lost.

He doesn’t want to admit pi is situational and in this situation because the pass was behind the wr and the defender turned his head enough and didn’t get there early enough and the wr tries to go back through the defender and the defender has the right to his spot and the ball hit the defender. the picture they showed of the body contact was AFTER the ball hit his arm. the defender and the ball got there at the same time the picture was of after it hit his arm.

Earlier in the game, on a long pass from Brady down the sideline , the giants defender never turned his back, just waved his hands like the last play of the game, reacting to the receiver trying to make a catch, the ball hit the defenders hand and all the announcers was like that was textbook coverage! But now this final play everyone wants to say its PI

Even if he wasn't playing the ball, it's a tough argument to make when the ball hits him in the arm and he was turned around looking toward the ball. Intent doesn't really matter all that much imo, only outcome. I think the plays are similar because Butler contacts the receiver slightly early with his body and knocks him over before he could catch the ball. If Butler hadn't caught the ball (or at least batted it down) then I think they may have called PI on the play. The positioning of the players on the field were very different in the two plays, I agree, but they are still similar. Not identical, but similar.

Anyone actually watching the game and saw the play, when the defender got close to the running back Deion Lewis the running back stopped leaning back into the defender because the ball was thrown late and somewhat behind him...rather being thrown to the pile on...if you watch from every angle you can clearly see that the defender Winfield never actually grabbed Lewis or even hooked him in any way...plus the football hit him in the side of his arm....Daniel Jones underthrew multiple passes all night, as well as over threw them as well.....it's not something that should be over hyped...the Giants were slated to lose anyway and to be honest, even with chances to win, they found a way to lose. If you feel the game swayed/hinged over one play then you really didn't watch the game.....a game is won or lost over the duration of 4 quarters.

What about the other bogus calls on the Giants. Phantom holding, offrensive PI and a DB getting called for lowering his head when a receiver hits him with the crown of his helmet. The Giants are 1-7 and will get no calls.
Bucs tightend initiated the helmet to helmet and that was a bogus call on giants same as the pi was a clear but since brady play for bucs so they gone give them their way as we see.
It's not about the giants being 1-7 they get calls in other games it's about who they were playing against
That helmet to helmet was a terrible call. But that last play was not pass interference. Skip is actually right for once. The receiver came back to the ball which initiated the contact with the defender. The defender made a play on the ball. You giants fans should be mad at the turnovers, not the refs. If that was pass interference, then every time someone blocks a player it should be holding.
