Of course it’s easier now but but none of these people were willing to open their mouth when it meant a possible risk to their public profile. People have nothing to lose now by talking about it cos even the major news outlets know that these stories will sell.
One notable example is Alyson stoner. I think she’s great and love her content, but she talks about certain things she’s witnessed, or even experienced at the hands of people in Hollywood but she won’t give a single name. Like people are supposed to go to prison to become better people before reintegrating them into society, but that’s not how that usually goes in USA (or my country). Still useful to keep that in mind though, because the real point is not supposed to be the separation of a person from the society (ref. Norway for the best example of how it should be)

I worked as a production assistant for a small indie film and there was a child on set. Let me tell you, it is a LOOPHOLE that production assistants can supervise your child and the parent/guardian can be told to stay in a specific area without sight of their child. The child on our set was followed EVERYWHERE by their parent. Even when we were moving her from hair and makeup to the dressing room or set, their parent was always trailing behind. Parents/Guardians are BY LAW allowed to follow their kids all around production sets as they please. It is a nasty loophole when directors, producers, production assistants, or anyone on set is told through the frame of "As long as an adult is supervising them, you don't need to be here." or the famous "They work better when you are not in the room!". It's exploitative in nature, parents often feel that they are overstepping when they don't know that it is literally illegal to tell a parents they cannot watch their children.

It was also proven in court after both their phones were reviewed that once drake knew her real age, he cut all contact. There was nothing physical about their interactions, everything was through text and even her family and friends testified that some of the things she said were not true. He pled guilty to child endangerment because at the end of the day, he was still speaking with a minor, but he did not assault her. @@davidfairweather3301you have to understand how hard it is if she did name them. we see it everytime again and again. when someone releases names everyone is split. some people believe it and others criticize them for speaking out and saying that they’re lying. Alexa Nickles for instance has been speaking out for years about Dan and Nickelodeon. No one believed her and said she’s crazy. For a year or two people have been rehearing her story and finally believe what she’s been talking about now. Amanda Bynes had a fake twitter since her parents were controlling her actual twitter. She was telling her truth years ago people just passed it as her being crazy. There more power in numbers which Alyson said herself and hopes people feel comfortable and can come out to speak on theses important topics. So I don’t think it’s a cash grab she’s speaking her truth without naming names and making her life hard. There’s powerful people behind these tv shows.
