They have reasons why they are so fair and prefer fair skin, its kinda of like a societal construct from the past that survived up till today. However, they dont really always cake on lighter makeup like what you say, they use the lightest foundations because they are very fair skin so its not too much of a difference. But yes, its usually a thinner layer or mixed with essences/oil to make it even more glowy and dewy, which usually it associated with young skin. They also use a sponge/blender so the layer is lighter and more translucent, shows the person more. Because they focus a lot on skincare as well, so their skin is really good like yours.
As a new contact wearer here’s some tips.
You’re looking down while putting in your contacts which makes your eyelid fold over. Try putting your mirror higher or going to a larger mirror so you can look slightly upwards.
Make sure your fingers are dry so the contact doesn’t stick along with around your eyes.
Put the contact on your middle finger. Use your ring finger to hold your lower eyelid open and middle finger on the other hand to hold the top lid open.
Gently put it on your eye, slightly away from your cornea. If it drops put it into solution, dry everything, and try again.
Once it gets on your eye, don’t close your eye yet. Move your cornea to the contact and move your eye around, looking around the room in circular motions to make sure it’s on your eye. Then gently close your eye.
