โ@@jamesnm21the bro teaches Tennis to Nadal ๐คฃ๐คฃ๐คฃ
@@matteosoranzo1729 it's a riskier shot because you're crossing the net lower, you have to hit it deeper because of the angle, it's harder to control and it's therefore more likely to go out. Tall players like Del Potro can hit those easier and Del Potro beat Federer in the us open final with those flat powerful shots. Nadal is not as tall and has a topspin game so it's going to take an adjustment that he might not want to do. Just like Federer for years had a weaker back hand and finally emulated Wawrinka and made it a higher risk shot. Tennis players are human. That's why they have coaches.

How djokovic kept that going from a losing position is crazy
This was 2011 Djokovic at the end of probably the most successful season ever played.
The 3rd set in this match was a match in itself. It took 80 minutes and by the end Rafa was barely standing.
Novak was truly invincible from AO 2011 till AO 2012, only Federer and Murray could stand a chance vs Djoko, eventually Rafa found the antidote too at US 2013.
Federer and Nadal are both better
2012 AO was a toss up! So don't try it!
Simply not true.
Federer beat him in the French
Federer had 2 Match Points in the Us Open
Nadal had a break in the final Set and just 2 Games away from winning the title. Federer 2004/2007 is the closest thing of being unbeatable; he was 11-0 in non-clay Slam finals and he lost in clay against the best version of Nadal who lost like 1 match in 3 or 4 years
Nadal beat Djokovic ok clay once or twice in 2012 unlike 2011 where he lost twice to him. He also bested him on Montreal before us open 2013

โฆeverything is clear in hindsight. Difficult to make quick judgments on the spot when it is happening.
its really hard and risky at that point, shooting a cross is easier than shooting down the line, especially after a long rally, thats why nadal was on that side too, also if djoko wanted to shoot a down the line, his posture would be different and nadal would move there, anyway in the end nadal took the risk of shooting down the line and it paid off..

What's unfair about tennis is that points like this have the same value than a double fault
Thatโs what makes it fun. From a tennis player
Same value on the scoresheet, sure. But you donโt have to look far to see how much of a game changer and momentum shifter these kinds of rallies can be. Just look at the chess world championship that happened a few weeks ago. Magnus Carlson and nepo were neck and neck for a few games. Long games that were extremely tight and no one came out on top. Then in the fifth game or some number like this, the worlds longest game ever played happened over 7+ hours, and Magnus Carlson finally squeaked out on top, and after that nepo was never the same. He looked like a shell of his former self in the remaining games, and wasnโt able to keep up with carlsen at all even though he was able to just a few days ago. So yes it has the same number of points, but it can be absolutely demoralizing to loose a rally like this, knowing you put so much effort into it without anything to show for it
Whats unfair about baseball is that a strikeout counts the same as catching a flyball.
But that goes for a penalty kick or an own goal or a spectacular overhead cycle kick. It all amounts to just one goal.
That happens in every sport
