This song goes so much more deeper in meaning. He mentioned he lost his way and she promised to stay but obviously, her heart couldn't take the hurt that she experienced from him. He's trying to reconcile what he has done but unfortunately, she is giving him a hard time. Honestly, sometimes it not easy to forgive someone for hurting you and once that trust is gone, it will never be the same!

Man I’m saying the same thing…’obliterated’. I had to look up who wrote this song, cuz it’s straight poetry. Lyrics cut so deep, metaphors..wheww, it’s like being in literature class all over again.
The way he sings, "Baby, no worries I promise to get us back," at 0:50 gives me chills. Capturing the sadness, desperation, and hope in how she said it. The obstacle is bigger and stronger than the both of them. 😔 The music production and lyricism for this song is timeless and the older I get the more I resonate.
