This reminded me one of my childhood story when my brother and i used to change channels of my neighbors tv from our remote our houses were really close so it was easy to catch the signal. It was so funny one time their whole family was watching tv and we changed the channel she caught us And then told my mom

Me too once played a prank on our neighbour's TV.. It was really funny to see our neighbour reaction as they keep changing the channel they wanted to watched but me and my brother keep changing it to another channel.. It was wrong to pulled a prank like that but in the end our neighbour who is also our cousin started to scared and curious at the same time and happen to know when me and my brother laughed out loud...😁✌️

Something like this happened with us. Actually we bought a new tv and a remote came with it. The remote was so sensitive that when we just walk near by a remote the tv turns on which was un usual and nothing the tv remote instruction said anything like that. But after a while when remote fell several times on floor it stopped working like that but works fine when pressed buttons so its normal now.

IF it is not a 'Smart TV', it's understandable if it's an Infrared thing. But what about Wi-Fi? Some are scared to say that it is possible to Turn On a TV remotely using a Wireless Local Area Network, because you know, 1984…
Some might not know, but there are hidden repeaters out there, that regulary 'intercept' signals from Wi-Fi sources, and then passed them on to their destinations… without being known they are there.
Players of Splatoon regulary experienced problem with this, due to the time lag it causes. They solved it by having their Nintendo Wii U being physically connected to the Internet.
Some think this:
Wii U Gamepad → Wii U → Wi-Fi Router → Internet
When it is actually this:
Wii U Gamepad → Unknown Repeater → Wii U → Unknown Repeater → Wi-Fi Router → Internet
Some solved it with:
Wii U Gamepad → Unknown Repeater → Wii U → Physically Connected Router → Internet
Nintendo's current solution:
'Wii U Gamepad Prototype'→ (Unknown Repeater) → Wi-Fi Router → Internet
