im sobbing while watching this, my mom also is suffering dementia, she has paranoia and always carrying her bags everywhere. she got dementia after my dad passed away 2 years ago, and getting worser everytime, but now shes under medical treatment so she is quite calmed. fortunately my mom been took care by us 3 of her children.
u cant argue with ppl with dementia, u have to supress all your bad mood when ure talking with them, always praise them, adore them, love them, and persuade them like you re persuade a lil kid..
there was time parents took care of us, now its time for us to do vice versa.
I hope you all go to teraphy too, taking care of someone with dementia it is a hard thing to do. Be strong

Its more scary personally, one time my bipolar sibling (who lives seperately) in her last episode literally shouting to just end her life and some ‘HAAAAA’ repeatedly so loud. All her neighbors were looking at her. Everyone was scared to approach her, even the emergency service. Had no choice but to approach her just to stop it because she’s paranoid that time and was near the kitchen. If only she didnt stop using her meds and avoided using marijuana, it wouldnt happen. And now she’s stopped her meds again, kinda anxious what will happen next

할머니 약물 치료 받고 건강해지셔서 행복하시길..그래도 저 할머니의 어머니는 끝까지 자식 보살핌 받다가 가셨는데 저 할머니는 보살펴주는 사람도 없이 쓰레기더미에서 엄마에게 모진말 했던걸 자책하며 하루하루 힘겹게 혼자서 외롭게 살아가시는게 너무 안쓰러우시네요ㅜㅜ

made me cry bc I can relate. I was so cruel to my mother bc she was sick and she was driving me insane. I bitched about her all night. I went to check on her in the morning and she was gone. every day is a struggle for me.

This hurts because I have a mom like this. She doesn't carry a knife but she carries these bags around and I worry for her.
Don't wait for too long. Get her medical assistance. But don't be pushy though. Be patient and convince her. Cases like these won't be resolved as time goes on. It would get worse as time goes by if you let her be. Or maybe you can get her a nice new bag and help her to choose few things to carry around.
Same with my grandma.. I'm so worried. I came back to visit her and I notice a lot of her behaviour resembles the woman in the the video, the excessive locks, the paranoia, carrying bags out with her when we take her out.
세상에 이런 일이 가 있으면 문제는 없을꺼 같아요. ~^^♡
