Understanding Dynamic Nerfing & Game Balance // This goes for all of our videos. You may realize that sometimes the 1 immortal or radiant has more money, shields, etc. Or the enemies have light shields, reduced economy, etc. This is why most of our videos are close matches. They are balanced to the teeth. This means rule-sets are set in place to create fair gameplay for everyone involved. Sometimes we do this "dynamically". For example: Maybe a low ranked team would start with pistol only, then get a specter and light shield. After switching sides they maybe can full buy, etc, etc. This gives a sense of suspense to the video as the opposing team would slowly face an increasing challenge!

I absolutely refuse to believe that all 9 of the people were irons. They were jump peaking and their movement were just not irons.

I think one major issue is that, while the iron's got all the time they want to try out new strats and adapt to the challenge, the single player can't do so because they're only playing one time, without past experience, and every single round is crucial. If you put 9 random irons immediately against an immortal or radiant, being highly disorganized and without being adapted progressively to harder adversaries, they'd surely lose.
Imagine saying these are irons when they are jump peaking cleanly
"Guys, don't t-bag! Like, what's the point in t-bagging? It's a 9v1, don't be toxic!"

For a test like this id reccomend keeping the map the same for all ranks. Some maps have alot longer of sight lines, making ot harder for the irons to do anything with pistol only. Or let the solo player choose the map they want, so they can better use their game knowledge.
As a person that went from bronze 2 to iron 1 and back to iron 2 im having an emotional roller coaster if i derank again
Impressive for the radiant player non the less. What is important to remember too is that those 9 people had many rounds to figure out a strategy that works to overwhelm while early people didn't have that issue. It makes sense why it wasn't linearly better and we saw regression.

i’ve never seen an iron jump peak corners until now. i don’t even think that thought usually starts occurring until silver at least (and isn’t actually good in execution until later)
You can really see the ability to isolate fights getting better and shining through here as the ranks go higher. It's a skill I still need to acquire XD

The Viper, Soap Enthusiast, had plat-dia level gamesense, insane trigger discipline, knew how to jump spot, great positioning. Nobody else really stood out but that Viper definitely wasn’t iron and claimed a multitude of rounds single-handedly.
The map shouldnt change, sunset is way easier for the irons than split
It's crazy how often the ult came in sooo late. Almost every rank was just so wasteful by not using ult. Especially the Ascendant.
Not a very "fair" test but was interesting nonetheless.
