Theme song for Kim Byeong In...lonely, rejected, sold by his own father, betrayed by his adopted father, nobody remembered him at the end except So Yong....but “here I am”, he was always there for the Queen, he was the only person who found the Queen when she was hiding, twice...never cared for any official position in the beginning, he only did that to protect the queen which he willingly gave up for her happiness in the first place...dying for his love at the end..what a tragic ending

I had to admit that No queen in Kdrama could overstep Shin Hye Sun's acting in Mr. Queen. She did become a legend just from this series.

All the dislikes were from andong kim clan members

This song feel so different after Byeong In died 😭😭😭😭 I really cannot move on when he died.. he is so loyal to the Queen.. his love is real 😭😭😭😭 until his last breath he could not meet the real Queen 😭😭😭 so saddddd

What others can't see is that the love the "Queen" felt for the King was purely coming from So Yong. Bong Hwan only felt it, because he was in the body of the Queen but her soul, her being is still inside. That's why on the last episode when So Yong returned to Byeong In's grave she said, "You found me again, Byeong In. Even when I was hiding." The 'feeling' Bong Hwan has for the King was purely friendship. But other than that was from So Yong. So, Bong Hwan is not gay. Looking even at the final episode, when the King felt like something was missing, the 'friendship' Bong Hwan has for him was that 'missing,' but scenes from Bong Hwan's present doesn't show that he is regretful nor in pain, in fact he is happy about the 'memory.' Also from the final episode, when the King asked the Queen why she is treating him politely, the Queen didn't even flinch nor felt any fear/jealousy because she knew that those 'feelings' were entirely from her. If you watch the Episode 1 of Mr. Queen: The Bamboo Forest (their spin off/special episode), the King loved So Yong even before they even knew each other's name/family. It just so happen that he doesn't want to deepen his feelings because he misunderstood her as an enemy. Anws, your adaptation to the series is yours :)

Can we all just appreciate this drama for adding a comedic side to it despite the fact that the King and Queen's love story is very tragic and painful. I also believe that Jang Bong Hwan and Kim So Yong's souls are now slowly becoming one. It was Jang Bong Hwan's straightforwardness that helped Kim So Yong's sincerity to convey everything that she has been holding back to say. As the drama progresses, I hope you guys can also see Kim So Yong becoming more vocal especially the scene with her father near the lake and right after, it was Bong Hwan who felt guilty about it. Hope we can see more from their past because I believe that the King have feelings for the Queen even before they were young.

The best soundtrack for the best Kdrama series this year. The actors are both remarkably great. Just please give us a happy ending this time Jung Hyun coz I have this feeling that something is off with the King in the end hopefully not this time jeball..

Who's here after the Mr Queen's ending? I'm gonna miss this drama so much, I've been so attached to the story and I even felt like i'm from Joseon era😂 but hell yeah Mr queen is one of the best Historical Kdrama!!! It's 100/10.

Loved how Choljeong never got annoyed of So yongs change in behaviour, instead he always tried his best to understand her.

Despite the controversy happened to Kim Jung Hwan, this Kdrama proved that he's one of the best actor in Korea right now.

This song hits different after Byeong in dead in tonight's episode (episode 19). I just hope Byeong in sacrifice his life for Soyong doesn't ended in tragic way too. I really hope King Cheoljong and Queen will have their happy ending :')

Love this drama!!! Besides being a romcom, love the contrast between a woman in joseon are being unfairly treated (a weak person, prohibited to run or voice out their concerns, main role is to only bear a child), sadly these are the reasons why kim so yong died. Now her having a man's soul in her body she was able to do it now. Which is also sad bc it depicts that in that time only men holds the power to be strong.

It's a happy ending, but I feel so sad about the fact Bong Hwan being back at his body when he didnt even tell goodbye to the King. In fact, the king when looking at the "Queen's Dictionary" still a little confused and realized there is something that he missed (AND there will be NO mama's frontalness and his/her unique charisms again because the real this mama is switched).

I don’t know what to do with my life after this drama 😔 and this song hits me to the core when I think of how Byeong In died defending the queen. He still hoped part of her real soul loved him still after realizing the change in her and the detachment came from the fact that it was another soul within her body. I just couldn’t hate him although his love for the queen and his hatred for the king took him down a dark path. I also couldn’t help being team no touching, I mean the way the king called her “my queen” was so romantic 🥰

I have no regrets that I watched this. It was my motivation that I see myself laughing all of a sudden because I remember some scenes. We really need this quality drama to release stress from this pandemic. More amazing and unique drama, entertainment industry.

I literally just ended the drama and I'm speechless like it's just soo goodd all actor did soo great job like the story line was soo unique 😭😭and it made me feel all the emotions at the same time ..it's just too too goodd shin hye sun and park Jung hyun did such a great job😭😭

One of the best ending K-Drama.

Awww, I see people feel bad for Bong Hwan who didn't get to enjoy "the relationship". I re-watched the series and didn't feel any regret from Bong Hwan's side. What I saw was someone who learned a lot while borrowing Kim So Yong's body - he got to have an in-depth, first-hand understanding on how it was to be a woman, biology and all; how awful it is to be a woman who's constantly misunderstood and rejected by the man she loves; and how difficult it was to be a woman who's struggling to fight for her right to be acknowledged. And who knows, he might've learned a thing or two about Cheoljong's show of sincerity/affection.
As for Cheoljong, I saw someone who got the taste of his own medicine. Kim So Yong's self-fulfilling prophecy (well, to the king) of "you should love me" was delivered with a vengeance by Bong Hwan. Because of Bong Hwan, the king took notice of the queen's plight. And as Eui Bin has kindly put it, the king is the type of person who is compelled to act on injustice when he sees it, and the queen being at the receiving end of all the injustice in the palace, is someone he will be naturally drawn to [protect]. Ironically though, this queen didn't need his protection.
In Kim So Yong, I saw someone who was desperate to live. We thought she wanted to die, but instead of doing so, she called for Bong Hwan (when she swam towards him), lent him her body and hid. Eventually, we see her consciousness surface through the sudden outburst of emotions that Bong Hwan is unable to explain. I'm sure she must've fought hard to win her body back, but under the circumstances that they can only switch in the advent of a near-death experience, it would be quite difficult to do so. Knowing that her consciousness and survival is tied with Bong Hwan, she finally allows him access to her memories for context, and with that, sort of guided him to enact revenge on the people who wronged her.
Shortly after Kim So Yong and Jang Bong Hwan "wake up", Bong Hwan had a reflection of his experiences, never mentioning love as a driving force. He was relieved that both he and the king made significant changes on their lives despite of all the odds, and he was satisfied that going all-in for a good cause was worth the risk. On the other hand, Cheoljong achieved the impossible (of going against his fate) and finally letting go of his previous prejudices against Kim So Yong, gets to spend the rest of his lifetime to know his queen better. Because he did promise her to "never to confuse her or mistake her for another person again."
What I liked about the series is that it posed the practical question about loving someone -- does it matter? Will it matter? Isn't love the whole experience, not bits and pieces? We spend a lot of time listing pros and cons, forgetting that often, falling in love may take little effort or may not require reason, but choosing to love someone is hard work. The thing is, the king had always been aware of the changes on the queen (unlike Kim Byeong In, who knew her all her life but only sees what he wanted to see), yet chose to accept her for what she is so he could give her the understanding she deserves. That to me, is true love.

Who's here after watching the last episode (ep. 20) 🙋😭 It's a bitter sweet ending. I'm happy that the real so yong came back to her own body, however I also feel sad for Jang Bong Hwan 😭 He came back to the modern world but I feel sad for him, he remember cheoljong and now he's alone and he haven't even got a chance to say bye to the king and didn't even got to see the royal baby huhuhuhu. But still Im proud of Jang Bong Hwan he made So Yong brave and get the supervision of internal court. 😭❤️ AaaAah I still can't move on to this drama 😭

Shin Hye sun is epic. Her acting is out of this world. I even watched Angel s: last mission love . In that also toooo goood acting I feel like she is the best frmale korean actor. Agree?

This song always makes me cry for various reasons. Especially Byeong In's death part. All the scenes when this song was played were heart wrenching. But that particular scene is etched in my heart. Even in normal times, this song makes me fills me with full of emotions.

I still just can't let go of this drama. It was so beautiful!!! I loved ever single character, scene, dialogue. The plot and the comedy added in between which suited the plot so much. Every single bit of the drama, I loved. It's really difficult to make the one watching love all characters whether it is the villain or the main character, but everything was really amazing.
The OSTs were just beautiful! Especially this one is my favourite. It's got to be THE BEST DRAMA OF THE YEAR!
I want to talk about the acting as well. The acting of the main cast or the supporting cast, everyone of them did such a great job! It didn't feel boring for even once. For Shin Hye Sun, we've always seen her performances, but this time was just the best of all the roles she played, at least for me. This time, her acting was just....
