Which is very true in America, at least. People dont usually know who they are at first, nor care about kpop but they know that if they associate themselves with BTS, they will get lots of attention online and views for their show. Thus they got invited to tv and award shows because the fans will follow them anywhere. They made the best of the few minutes given to them as performers and got the ball rolling for themselves.

Watching this on Dec 13 (Jin‘s enlistment date). And knowing they didn‘t get to win their Grammy that year and also not this year. But knowing they are nominated again for next year. I really hope Jimin (and ofc all the other members) will get their Grammy. I know, we as ARMY don‘t care if they will win this because we will love and support them anyway. a year later I come back watching this again and I’m still sad when jimin said “ I think we can win” bcz we all know the day of the Grammys was so terrible. They robbed them, bts tried to comfort us when they really probably felt down too more then us, ahh, and they got nominated again for the 2022 GRAMMYS and for the same category! (Not gonna speak about how they basically robbed BTS with butter cuz that’s a whole different conversation) but like I just hope jimins wish can come true if it didn’t last year.

I’m just now realizing more how messed up the Grammys really are. They were “the first Korean band to perform at the Grammys” and they couldn’t perform ONE OF THEIR OWN SONGS THAT CHARTED!?!?! 🤯 I mean I’m still proud and happy they had fun and all, but I mean... really? Just wow 😒😒😒
While I know that BTS didn't participate in the writing and/or producing of Dynamite and it was fully english, it's still a BTS song. But yes it is very sketchy that Dynamite got the nomination purely because it was a fully english song by them when they had betters songs than Dynamite last year, but scammy isn't about to nominate them for a song in korean. They were used plain and simple for the performance and placing that performance near the end of the show. I'm noticing this happens with pretty much every western award show. And what's up with that performance not being uploaded to youtube yet when everyone else's has.
