Between you and me, I'm delighted that RagNar is the vent that is the most impressive and long-lasting! Thanks for introducing me to this amazing sight over the last few weeks, this has been addictive!
When I was a little kid in the 1970s, I would sit and stare at my grandmothers lava lamp for hours, watching the lava rise and fall. This is a million times better! Thanks so much 🙏🏼😁
So addictive, just one more than I'm off! You can check out anytime you want, but you can never leave, welcome to the hotel geldinradulfur( forgive spelling, sorry🤔🤷)🤗
Glad you are posting highlights of this thing. I watch live a lot and sometimes there those pulses that just need to be captured for eye-candy sake at least.
To put this in perspective of how much force is being exerted here--all of that is basaltic rock, rich in iron and magnesium, being propelled hundreds of meters high. It's erupted enough to fill the surrounding low elevation sites with lava. That is raw power. This is why I love geology. I get my degree this fall.
@@Johnboy33545 It’s very lightweight pumice-like particles. There’s a technical name for it which I can’t recall just now; been lots of chat about it on main camera feeds. BTW Ogion didn’t say it was “lava” 🙂
You follow the wrong people then if this was their prediction. Most volcanologists predicted months to possibly a year. Imo. It will reach the ocean before its done.
Could plug it with the world's largest Steam Turbine power station and make Oxygen and Hydrogen for sale. load onto huge tanker ships and sell around the world.
I like to start my day with this because it makes FAR more sense than anything else in the world today.
Today’s word is..... Astounding.
My thesaurus needs more words 😂.
Thanks R ❤️
It's amazing thinking about how much pressure is under there to heat and push the lava so high. Thank you for sharing.🌋
Words just don’t do it justice! It’s amazing

Thanks for the memory. I haven't thought about lava lamps in years.
@@cherylkern3288 I have one!
I have lava lamps. Fascinating to watch. 😂
I watched this on live feed most of the day today. Great stuff.
Me too, but I still watch the short clips lol. Can't get enough of it. But you can guarantee I'll miss the best bits if I try to rewind!

@@Linandemma I can rewind the live feed on my TV so when the back wall collapsed I just had to rewind about 2 min to watch it.
@@seetheforest I know, it's not so easy to control on your phone haha

I agree with you. Also one can catch a little sleep at night and see these the next day either when posted or just by going backwards on video.
Fantastic !! You can see why the moss fires start so far away from the cone when you see all that hot light stuff falling around the camera !! Thanks.
You have some of the most spectacular footage that I've seen from this volcano, stay safe and thank you for sharing
Mother Nature is Awesome!
Spectacular video. Love the night shots. Very impressive
BoB will always be my first love.... but I think Rag-Nar will win my heart!
That must be quite unbelievable to witness this from the walkway access to the volcano.
Also, seeing this out the windows of your home.
Amazing
@@sweettrubble4635 Yes, probably a little unnerving as well.

Wow you can clearly see that the camera is being rained on by particles! what an awesome show by Rag-Nar :)
Dust and ash? Maybe but not by lava.

Until this recent and current eruption 🌋, I had no idea that Iceland had volcanoes.
w0w! Never seen such a great display, so massive... thank you for this.
It seems as though this eruption has gone way beyond predictions
You follow the wrong people then if this was their prediction. Most volcanologists predicted months to possibly a year.

A lake of fire raining brimstone, seems like I read about this somewhere...
Awesome.
Ohmigod. This is incredible.

Ragnars Gone Wild! now available on VHS
Iceland? I wish they would say.
Did this crater really errupt a geyer of lava 1KM high?
well.. just say it.. Rag-Nar Rocks !
Anyone know how far it is to the ocean?
Do you worry about the debris falling around you and the cameras? I see it can start small fires in the moss on the hillsides.
Wow
and where in the world is this place
Ragnar Lothbrok or Lodbrok (Old Norse: Ragnarr Loðbrók, "Ragnar shaggy breeches", Modern Icelandic: Ragnar Loðbrók) is a legendary Viking hero
Is the camera in danger of getting burned like the moss?
I doubt if they expect to get the camera back!
@@amandawilcox9638 You might be right with that.

A warning from Mother Nature - DON’T MESS WITH ME!
Guess ragnar the red missed Rorikstead.

They need to place professional audio equipment over there.
It doesn't look real!!!
I know it is but!!!
Just as well the camera is 'disposable', eh?
Bob and Flo's misbehaving child.
Is it going to seal its self off ?
I thought his name was Bob?
Bob was the original vent; now quiet...
Large eruption!!
Lapilli rain

Clearly you have to exaggerate to get views.
Meow!
Why is Rag-Nar a "he"? It behaves more like a "she".
so much hype. when will it stop. i've seen better eruptions and so have you
Yet here you are. Bitching about comparative eruptions that you watch for free, after others do the work.
