College football as it was meant to be played. Gotta love D3. No football scholarships, no multimillion dollar coaches and invasive television contracts, just a group of true student athletes playing for the love of the game.
I wouldnt mind a television contract for D3 games to be shown. Would bring more attention to D3 football which is a positive in my eyes.

@@joeschizoid7762 You can corrupt sports without all of that. The want to win creates cheating and problems regardless. I think D3 should be more publicized as well as D2.

This was actually a legit good game.
That was a really exciting game by two evenly matched, well deserving teams. Shame somebody had to lose.
Didn't want to see either team lose. Excellent game by both. Final should be nice.

D3 playoffs are good because only the best get in and advance unlike D1 who dont always have the best playing the best in the 4team playoffs and bowl games.

Coaches preach the game is won on the line and this game is a real example of that

Never really thought it was fair for a school as big as whitewater to be playing D3. They literally have 12500 students. Now I know their public so they dont have the budget of some rich private schools like Rhodes or MIT but because they have lower academic standards they can pull in a wider range of athletes. They have the student body of a D2 or FCS school and when they play these private schools with students bodys in the 3000s it just seems unfair.
I understand your point, but if there was direct correlation between enrollment and football, schools like UCF and Arizona State would be playing for the national championship every year. Pahokee High School in Florida has only 800 students but regularly beats high school 3 times its size and has sent several players to the NFL, i.e. Anquan Boldin.
@@joeschizoid7762 I think especially in D3 when the players are not offered scholarships being able to go to larger school is a major draw to future student athletes compared to many other of the small schools. I mean UWW is the only school at any level I have ever heard win all three major sports in the same year (baseball, basketball, and football). To be honest UWW And all the other Wisconsin schools belong in D2. I also understand there isn't a direct correlation but clearly there is many advantages against extremely small schools
@@wheatking8971 The UW schools actually have their own conference. They should probably look at D2, yes.
I played baseball at UW-Platteville and yes, the Wisconsin conference (WIAC) is generally considered the most competitive in D3. Having seen a lot of D3 competition, it was hit or miss. Some schools you wondered why their players weren't D1/D2, while others felt like a small Juco. To be honest it all comes down to opportunity. Wisconsin doesn't have a lot of D1 schools, so you find the bigger D3 schools get more athletic attention.
The biggest schools in the WIAC like Whitewater, Lacrosse, and Oshkosh won't move up a division due to funding...it's that simple. So I may not have gotten my school paid for, but D3 is still a great experience!

wisconsin whitewater u.b. coaches , lance leipolds old stomping grounds...
The stunts whitewater’s defensive line is pulling are awful. They dont have the speed to pull them off. Cant say too much tho. They werent bringing consistent pressure but got there a few times. I would bull rush a lot and just hold gaps. The exterior is decent but the interior cant penetrate at all
Game was so much closer than it should have been. UWW could have won by 2 scores without some questionable quarterback play, whereas that was the best SJU could have done

The Crusader I play D3 football and I don’t think it’s a scam if you see it as you playing the sport you love after high school
Juco offer scholarships if you ask me you would have a better chance going to Juco so you can earn a scholarship to a bigger school which might help you get to the pros
