Soo-ah is so misunderstood in this show. Everyone thinks that she is materialistic and want to marry a rich guy. if that was so, she could have married PSRY after he started franchising, or even Geun-won. It was just an excuse. Her whole aim was to stay in Jang-ga to get revenge and "to pay back 3 times what she got" to PSRY's dad. At one point, she almost gave up her plan, to be happy with PSRY, but got "dumped". She finally got the revenge by exposing so much evidence she collected over that years that cannot be covered up and single-handedly brought down Jang-ga without PSRY's help. In doing so, she destroyed her career, cos nobody in Korean business will hire a whistle blower. Yet PSRY broke his promise to her. She ended where she started from, as an orphan who doesn't need sympathy. If you watch the whole show from her perspective, her character was so sad and so lonely to watch.
Edit: Anyway, this is just my own opinion and interpretation. Glad that so many people feel the same. Thanks for the likes! (PS: .. and yes, she has Park Bo Geum in the end. So, It's a happy ending. 😊 )

I lost my dad 2 weeks before starting this series, this was my first K-Drama and it was so beautiful. It also helped me progressing my loss. It was kinda encouraging seeing my boy fighting back even when he was at the bottom. I am a Student at University rn and this Show helped me pass all Papers even though I was like dead inside. I seriously dont know why so many people hate Sooah, just because she works for jangga doesn’t mean she’s a bad person. Personally i think Sooah is a realistic person as she knows how harsh it is to survive in this ever-changing world and dares to sacrifice her love for her carreer. And I totally dont understand why people keep criticizing her, unamittedly she’s somehow too realistic but it’s undeniable that she’s a strong, tough girl. When she says she loved rich men this is what really motivates park se ro yi to become rich and when she keeps saying that she is the one who called the police, it shows how miserable she’s to try to make park se ro yi stops liking her, although she’ve loved him for 10 years. I love her imperturbability whenever facing yi seo and everything else. It doesn’t matter who will emd up with park sae ro yi, i just wish that Sooah could live a happy life as she deserves to be so.

I don't hate her but I don't like her either. She was ok to work for a man who covered the murder of her close friend (who was like a father to her and took care of her), she never really rejected Seroy (no idea how to spell it). She didn't have to take that businessman's (don't remember the name) money (she had her own), didn't have to work for him (could have made a career elsewhere) or do mean things. But she chose money over her conscience. She took the path that was not noble and I could never respect her for that. She was good enough to never really hold on to Seroy and to go to the police so I don't hate her. But she is not a good person, she is just selfish and doesn't love anyone but herself. So no sympathy here.

You can't betray and be mean. Otherwise you are just not a good person. She didn't have to take Mr Jang's money. She didn't. She had money. So what was there to lose except her dignity? Nothing! He didn't blackmail her, didn't threaten. He just gave her additional money and a job. Wasn't she able to get a good job elsewhere? A smart girl like her could make a career without betraying the man who was like a relative to her. Would you like a friend like her? Imagine you leave your money to a nice girl and after you die, she goes to work for the person who killed you. Nice, right? And gathering information was never the reason. She wasn't even going to use it. She was working there for years, being nice to those people, she let them train her. And why are you talking about Yi Seo? She has nothing to do with this.

이태원 클라쓰 ost 다 너무 좋은데 이 곡을 들을 때면 가슴 한 구석이 저린 느낌이 드네요. 김필님 워낙 독보적 음색 알고 있었지만 이 노래랑 딱 어울리고 너무나 노래의 맛을 잘 살리셨어요. 이 노래 계속 듣게 됩니다.

To me,SaeRoyi and SooAh can't be together. even they understand each other so deeply but They have their own path to achieve the goal differently. Who's here who really admire saeroyi's relationship with his late father rather than his love life? Listening to this song made me in tears of losing our beloved parent in the cruelest situation ever and being forced to face the hardest life possible alone while maintaining our principal that our father proud of to always live to the fullest. That's why the scene of yiseo's crying and her desire to protect saeroyi really on point on this song to realize us saeroyi's past is really a hell and almost impossible for moving on

Oh Soo-ah is the perfect example of a character that's "human". Drama characters tend to have overexaggerated traits, and can often be overwhelming. This is one of the main reasons we root for them, yet Soo-ah's character is not of the same vein. She represents what it means be to human, self-preservation and survival comes first, but as we humans evolved, so did our perception of feelings and emotions. Soo-ah willingly played both sides, sacrificing not only her emotions and happiness, but constantly surrounded herself with the people who was responsible for her surrogate father's death. All just to pay back Mr. Park's generosity. She reminds me a lot of Severus Snape from the Harry Potter universe, and both of them are my favourite characters from their respective stories because of how "real" they felt. I'm glad that at least Soo-ah has her own happy ending.

I really liked soo-ah's character but I don't know why people hate on her. She's actually one of my favourite second female leads. And I love this drama because all of the characters are so real and human.❤️

난 솔직히 드라마보면서 오에스티그냥 한귀로듣고 한귀로 흐르는데 목소리듣고 김필인거바로암 난 솔직히 가수중김필이탑인데 대중적인 발라드를부르는 가수가아니라 크게 안뜨는거라 생각하는데 김필이 그런노래부르면 끝이라생각함
