That’s a good point, but I think it’s outshined by the England royalty theme.
I'm imagining the robe to be the pre-colonization hunt for riches
The armor to be settling the colonies and the colonists hunting for gold
Then, the body suit is the American Gold Rush because it has designs on it that strike me as what you'd see on a bandana

I've read a funny comment that he was being petty for not being relevant enough to be invited for 2018 Met. The theme was heavenly bodies, which fits this whole look more.
