I love the endings to these videos. I find them inspirational to change wrong things to make them better. The most taxing question on the mind is if what we do now will benefit or hurt the future. What would historians find? What would future generations learn about us and what we right now did? Every action will be watched by our children 100 years later. That’s hard to think about, it inspires me as a person to improve people’s life’s and to show our children that we were good people. We can’t be self centered all of the time. As a collective society we need to help and take care of people around us and ourselves, but that’s hard, but it can be done. For us, for the future, for the world.

It mainly happened because I didn't realize he was quite as passionate about it, nor just how lazy I was feeling about the idea. I could've just said no and thats final, but it would've made my friend upset with me for a while, so socially you need powers of reasoning.

    (1) People were forced to make a binary choice. It might have been that they wanted to work with neither, or both.
    (2) The experiment was more akin to "finding excuse" than finding reason, when almost zero information apart from a photo was available.
    (3) These people might have considered both pros and cons for selecting each photo. You asked for the pros, then they would give you only the pros.

I love how Michael can talk about a concept that every knows but not many people truly understand the depth of. He then takes you there in ten minutes, makes you question everything you know and then in another ten he talks about why eggplants are called eggplants it’s our yearly free acid trip.

Wich might give us insight in bettering our reasoning abilities ...

I keep coming back to this one. Society needs to take many of Michael's suggestions to heart. Something needs to be done, as the present course seems destined to failure.

Really wish there was more discussion of stuff like this. Not just what decisions are made and who gets to make them, but the society-wide information-processing and decision-making process.

Have you ever listened to John Vervaeke? Eric or Bret Weinstein? Gad Saad? Heck, even Joe Rogan? There are dozens of very smart people discussing this very thing in public forums right now, but they aren’t “mainstream” because they don’t stick to the narrative of the corporate press.
Some others you could look into would be Michael Malice, Jock Willink, Naval Ravikant, Lex Fridman, Jordan Peterson, Jonathan Pageau, and plenty of others I’m missing.

This. Right now my country is stuck in a seemingly infinite loop of election cycles and nobody seems to offer any sort of legislation to prevent this from happening.
What bothers me about this is that it made me conclude that the people that lead the system will never fix its flaws because, ultimately, it works in their favor. Even the smaller parties find it convenient.
The biggest problem with democracy is that no matter what party gets elected, the public is still ruled by politicians. You can't trust politicians to rely on anything but their own interests, even if their intentions are great. A change in the system is too risky for a politician to make, unless they want to risk losing their seat.
