I think your missing the point that it’s a remake therefore most similarities to the original film should actually stay in place. Their not recreating the movie to change the message their doing it as a treat to those who can see it in live action. Maybe you have a different interpretation and I can’t fault you but I want to see the recreation in an attempt to make me feel like what I felt as a kid is even more true by bringing it closer to real life and adding resources that we didn’t have when it first was created! Some things are better left untouched. I don’t see how keeping mushu or even creating a minor score instead of the original songs could have done anything but make it even better!

But if you love the music in the original, the score will give you what you need to be nostslgic and excited, as well as the end credits songs. So check it out whatever yo want 😉👍🏼
