I'm tired of shit/fart/butt jokes in movies. Literally every family film has one or more and it's just poor writing and devalues the quality of said movies. I'm glad these scenes were deleted if I'm being honest, thought unfortunately that didn't stop Scoob from being a mediocre movie.

@@thefantasticretroreviewer3941 Im sorry if I sounded kinda harsh; wasnt my intention just what I felt by watching the film. I just felt the company felt ashamed of their original creation by doing this elaborate plot witch in it's escense isn't Scooby doo. A few of my friends like it and I understand why. I didn't like the voice cast except frank welker and Simon Cowell was complety unnecessary and kinda stupid in a movie. I was kinda hoping this was good seeing as I love scooby despite every story having the same plot and lately haven't seen most of their late movies with Wrestlers and whatnot but just didn't like it. It's mostly a kids movie and as long as they like it they made their goal I guess. The animation was great and the few easter eggs were kinda cool but those things don't make a movie for me. It could've been a better movie again in my opinion.

@@badlatinfilms The plot was actually faithful to the cartoon, only except they brought new things into the table with a complex mystery that involves the lineage of the titular character through Greek history and why he is important. The movie is even kickstarting a Cinematic Universe for Hanna-Barbera, and the right inclusion of other Hanna-Barbera characters that would fit in the same universe but has never received the same cultural ubiquity of Scooby-Doo also makes for an engaging, universe-expanding tale that stays away from the clichés that might otherwise result in yet another version of the standard Scooby-Doo story, making the story feel authentic as it proves that it does so much more than just set up the Hanna-Barbera Cinematic Universe as it puts many creative ideas put into good use.
Despite being meant as a homage to the celebrity guest-star appearances of the source material, the movie does feature a rather clever cameo from Simon Cowell that helps boost up the movie's message and mystery in ways. For instance with how he was continuously brought up by Scooby-Doo and Shaggy of how he views them as outcasts for their views on friendship. The double unmasking scene revealing Simon Cowell as Dick Dastardly only to reveal that Dick Dastardly was still the villain not only made sense as to who is the real actual main suspect, but is also a rather humorous way to poke fun of the masked villain plot twist.
'FUN FACT:* With introductions of Dynomutt and Blue Falcon in the film, their first appearances were in "''Dynomutt, Dog Wonder''", an action-mystery-comedy series tied together to "''The Scooby-Doo/Dynomutt Hour''", involving a robotic dog superhero and a Batman-esque millionaire superhero (Radley Crown a.k.a. The Blue Falcon) fighting crime and solving mysteries, which would likely inspire for the creation of shows such as "''Inspector Gadget''", which grew immense popularity. The series premiere of the series was also in fact "''Everyone Hyde!''", which also guest stars Scooby-Doo and the Mystery Inc. crew. Dynomutt and Blue Falcon are also revealed to be the idols of Scooby-Doo and Shaggy. Though it should be noted that the original Blue Falcon, Radley Crown, does not appear in the film, though is mentioned and confirmed that he retired and does appear in hidden Easter Eggs in the film, and we instead have the Blue Falcon's son, Brian Crown, appear in the film, also as his successor.

Cool that is actually really cool all that info and I am glad you enjoyed it sadly it just didn't make it from me. they are a few changes from the original but they didn't bother me as I said to my friend; I wanted to love it but I didn't and that's okay it's a new scoob for a new generation. It just didn't do it to me and again I wanted to like it I was hyped for it.
And I can see what they were going for by crossing over with other Hanna-Barbera characters besides Money well primarly money, but in doing so, I think that they stripped away a lot of what makes Scooby-Doo so great. I was always drawn in by Mystery Inc's skepticism to all things supernatural and as a child, I felt that I could dip my toe into something spooky but the humour and adventure would balance it all out. Even in this film, snippets of the gang's spooky hijinks were the highlight for me and without that - I feel that there is no Scooby-Doo. In saying that, the animation was beautiful, I do love these characters and I think that Zac Efron was a cool casting choice for Fred. I feel thankful that this has gone straight to streaming rather than a wide theatrical release, as I can only hope that a new generation finds a better entry point into Scooby-Doo rather than this film.
The first 15 mins of this were actually great. Why they couldn't have just kept this as an origin story of how the gang met and started solving mysteries is beyond me. Instead the story spirals off into a million directions and is filled with tons of poorly executed pop culture references. The animation is stellar, but the plot diminishes this one a lot. I'm not expecting it to be just like the TV series, my niece and sister's got more excited at the beginning of the movie and started to lose interest as it went on. Again my niece fell asleep. So disappointing and a big missed opportunity agan in my opinion.
The villain was okay but they could have done but the film was all over the place and it wasn't the scooby doo we all fell in love but I am glad people like it but I just didn't like the plot nor will forte as Shaggy the other's were okay. Still the movie is not that good to ME.
We have come to love the cast and the characters for the last decade. But for me they took the heart out of the movie? Will Forte doesn't do Shaggy justice. The suspension of disbelief is gone with the plot and the constant refences who can't save a movie. They should've just done it without the shared universe but again that's my opinion. Im glad you and other people enjoy it.

Judging by the original test footage, they should've shown the backstory of Scooby and then Shaggy, give a short introduction to how they met Fred, Velma and Daphne. The test footage indicates that they were on their first time or their lastest week solving a mystery. I recommend you watching the rest footage, it's got a more comical reason why the Falcon Fury lands near the abandon buildings, in the ghoul and night setting of the franchise.
