But they all feel like the same movie with different settings and characters. Ig they successfully created a Marvel Universe because it feels like every film since 2012 is set in the Avengers world.

Thank u guys for the sweet replies, we saw the Batman and we absolutely loved it! My dad was the biggest Batman nerd ever, he always said he’d love it if I worked for DC. I made a drawing of Batman and Joker for him when I was 9 and he never took it off the fridge. He never gave up on me, bought me a ton of art supplies and everything I needed. Right now I’m working on a piece of him as Batman :) I hope he’s proud of where I am in life now.

Unfortunately they cast a much less handsome and sophisticated-looking actor to play a handsome and sophisticated character. Pattinson just looks silly as Batman. I will admit, though, playing Batman as a nutter is pretty interesting. I think it’s a Batman who would be very defined by his relationship with his version of the Joker.

I love how versatile the Batman character is. You just can't break the character. He works as a silly campy character like the Adam West or George Clooney version, he works as a dark psychologically damaged character, and he works as a gritty detective. Truth be told though, this version came the closest to what I associate with the comics. He is not just fighting prowess and gadgets, but also really smart. And, most of all, he has compassion. I love his arc in this film from "I am vengeance" to, basically "I am hope".

@@dpknscldnkn2909 they all gave us a different look and feel to both sides of the characters (Batman/Bruce) but Pattison was extra special. His depiction of Bruce Wayne was unique and even more darker than the others. That whole movie was SPECTACULAR. I can’t wait to see the next two.

They’re truly trying to portray Batman as a terrifying character from the perspective of the villains in Gotham; the final shot for example is a role reversal of a typical horror trope, that being the killer walking slowly towards the car while the helpless victim waits terrified. There’s even a low angled shot of his feet which you could easily swap out for Michael Myers or Jason Voorhees and the Penguin out for a victim

I still keep coming back to watch this trailer. The suspense it builds is just amazing. And the last moments as the music is overpowering and Batman is walking up after having seen his car come flying out of a fireball makes it feel like a it's not a man but a supernatural force coming at you.

The dark alley scene lighted only by gunfire blasts my soul every time I watch it.
I absolutely LOVE how they’re making Batman terrifying in this for criminals.
Play the Arkham games. He's basically an angry God. When you do those multiple people take downs, the way he moves and the speed makes you think exactly what all the criminals say in the comics when they see him fight "Is that actually a human?!"

Mehh, this trailer doesn't make him terrifying. I would love so much though if they make a Batman movie that's more like a horror movie through the eyes of criminals. Kinda like in Batman v Superman when Batman rescued the victims of human trafficking. Batman has huge potential as a horror movie.
The Riddler is a PERFECT villain for a young Batman! We have rarely seen any detective work from Batman in the live-action movies, and he's going to have to go full on detective to crack Riddler.

The use of The Batman theme throughout the movie makes the entire film honestly. Every time that song either subtly starts up or just pops in out of no where always sends me chills.
Agreed. The music really added tension to the film imo. It set the tone throughout.

Robert Pattinson is the BEST batman I've seen and he's PHENOMENAL as Batman AND Bruce Wayne entirely while still given him a new stylized look that's FANTASTIC to see! Love this movie to death as it's the BEST batman movie, felt like batman: the animated series BEAUTIFULLY brought to life! MASTERPIECE of a film throughout!

SERIOUSLY....i think that's how ALL movie trailers should be. Sometimes i feel like i just saw the WHOLE movie. I remember watching Spiderman's Home coming Trailer, and i saw the start, middle, and end, JUST by watching that trailer. THIS trailer however. THE BATMAN looks to be epic, and not much is shown, as it should be!
Definitely the best version of Batman onscreen. I can't wait for what is next.

Honestly, with all that makeup I thought it was Robert de Niro with SFX makeup on. Took me by surprise when I heard that it was Colin Farrell.
I absolutely LOVE the fact that the riddler is wearing those big square lens Serial killer glasses that you would find from the killers in the 70s/80s! It’s so cool!

Exactly, it's perfect! Looks like it shows Batman barely able to control his temper - fits in well with the idea that characters like the Riddler would be borne out of Batman's own actions and challenge his sense of justice.

The Batman was an incredible movie, loved the amazing cinematography, story, Michael Giacchino’s soundtrack was perfect, the opening scene leading to the Batman reveal was absolute perfection. Robert Pattinson and Paul Dano stole the show as Batman and Riddler, excited for the sequel. 🦇

Just in case anyone is hesitant to see this movie because of Robert Pattinson or any other reason, think twice. The movie is dark, chilling, and action packed. The riddler is disturbing and amazing an absolute 10/10 must watch
I’d say 9/10.
The only thing stopping it from being a 10…the words “sensory overload” come to mind concerning some of the cinematography.
I was thinking of watching it because of Pattinson-he's been good in everything except Twilight.

Movie was a masterpiece especially the Riddler. Paul Dano did an amazing job. Here's a request from a DC fan; in the sequel of this masterpiece, please show us a villain we haven't seen in the movies yet such as Mr. Freeze, Clayface, Deathstroke, Poison ivy, etc. In short, we don't want the villains we have seen before like Raas al Ghul, Joker and Bane. Please introduce new villains this time.

Clayface has been confirmed to have a big role in the sequel. But not the clayface we know, just a guy who can disguise as anyone. At least, thats what Ive read. Still hope we get to see mr freeze in it tho

I kind of like the rage. Feels like a batman early in his career. Obsessed with fear, fuelled by anger and revenge.
He's right around a year-and-a-half in, so it's not an origin and at the same time he's not seasoned like Affleck was by the time we first met his Batman. Since Affleck is my favorite live-action version, it'll be interesting to see where Pattinson ranks (of course, pretty much everyone is ahead of Clooney just based on their trailers alone, especially here).
Yes mate. Bruce Wayne is Batman for less than 2 years in this movie, so he’s still kinda confused, bothered or you could say rough. Not like seasoned Batman in Nolan’s TDK/TDKR nor Batfleck.
