Michael B. Jordan was in Creed II just last year and the in the first one from 2015. Brie Larson was in Room, 21st Jump Street and Kong: Skull Island. Jamie Foxx was in Baby Driver and Sleepless in 2017, Robin Hood last year.
This film was going to come in January but because of the results of the test screenings WB moved it to December. I doubt the film was made for Oscars, I see the move more realeted to box office performance.
