The screenplay is by Terry Rossio (“Godzilla vs. Kong” the “Pirates of the Caribbean” series) and Simon Barrett (“You’re Next”) and Jeremy Slater (“Moon Knight”), from a story by Rossio & Wingard & Barrett, based on the character “Godzilla” owned and created by TOHO Co., Ltd. I liked it when Japan did Godzilla movies from dark and serious to silly and goofy. And now Japan did Godzilla with dark and serious (Godzilla: Minus One) and now America is doing silly and goofy like the old Godzilla movies.
I just left the movie theater earlier today and I loved Godzilla X Kong The New Empire. It is my favorite movie out of the franchise so far historically.
Garbage compared to Godzilla Minus One.

Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire had me excited to watch after seeing them go from fighting to teaming up in Godzilla vs. Kong and the two trailers. This new one is very CGI heavy and I wish the team up between Godzilla and Kong was done a little better, but the effects were mostly fine, I love the further exploration of Kong in hollow earth, and Godzilla and Kong teaming up plus the two shots of them running together and of King Kong riding on Godzilla to then jumping towards the two monsters was absolute fire.
That’s how you make a Godzilla x Kong movie. Very impressive! Loved it! ❤ So excited to see it again!

In 2021- Kong had an axe that made him a king in the most badass way.
In 2024- Kong lost his axe and got a new upgrade gauntlet that fits him perfectly.
I love that Japan has been doing the more tragic and unsettling Godzilla movies, while the US does the monster fight/showdown Godzilla movies. To me, it's not a one vs the other, or is one better than the other, I'm just excited to live in a time when we get both.

I will be honest. After watching this, I would say this is by far the best ever collaboration of Godzilla, Kong, and Mothera working together to fight their foes. Trust me, this movie is beyond expectations and good 👍.

Been waited for 3 years and was nearly a week ago when I watched this movie and for the first time IMAX 3D experience.. seeing this monsters on giant screen was literally an amazing experience.. visuals were super stunning.. 360° rotation on particular scenes was giving me an atmost roller coaster ride.. sound effect in IMAX is literally like a buzz bomb🔥 u can actually feel the resonation.. yeah but I would say that storyline of the movie was pretty ok.. mostly they only focused on Kong's plot and hollow earth world where else godzilla was given less screen time.. antagonists like scar king and shimo weren't as strong as main ones so it was an easy fight win for G&K.. mothara's appearance was literally a wow.. but overall I actually enjoyed this one hope they could come up with more different plot and monsters in next one.. just can't wait to watch

Sometimes you just want to shut your brain off and go "Haha monster go brrr" instead of thinking of deeper meanings or the human relationships of the cast. Rocks may be dull, but they can also shine in the best way when used right.

The look of genuine fear on Kongs face when he see’s Shimo just gose to show how intimidating this titan is and the instant frost bite from its breath on Kongs axe is insane.

Seeing Godzilla and Kong running toward the Scar King in theatres really give me mad Goku and Piccolo vs Raditz vibes. I do love how even way back in the Hesei movies, the movies keep nodding Dragonball in some way shape or form.
The only American here is Kong, so I can see how u would associate Zilla and dragon ball being how they come from the same place. Very corny how they made Godzilla able to run like a human 💀
