One thing I love about the Monsterverse films is that it gets more creative with the new Titans, and the lore surrounding the main ones (Godzilla, Kong, etc.)
I also enjoy the idea that with each film, both Godzilla AND Kong evolve more in terms of appearance and skill.

@@loopy7681 I’m wondering if it has something to do with that pink/purple energy we see in Hollow Earth in the trailer, and we know Legendary Godzilla draws power from the Hollow Earth. I’m guessing there’s some kind of unexplained change with the Hollow Earth’s energy and at the same time, it affects how Godzilla can utilize its power while also making him look different in appearance.

As a lifelong Godzilla fan (so much so that I have Godzilla tattooed across my knuckles😂) I’m always down and excited for a new film to the legacy. That said, I’m not sure how I feel about him running full speed, keeping up with Kong. But, that’s not a deal breaker or anything. Just looks weird to me. Either way, let’s freaking go!!!! It’s always a party with these two. I’m here for it.

I dunno how I feel about this. It’s such a far cry from the potential that the first Godzilla in 2014 set up. I miss that kind of grounded setting instead of the Sci-Fi approach

You have to remember they tried to continue it with KOTM and it didnt work out. After COVID Godzilla vs Kong style was very well received and was the first movie to drive people back to theaters at the EOD what drives for money from a bigger population rather than the few will always continue
2:21 I know godzilla is (supposedly) more agile in this movie, but the way he runs here is so disturbingly weightless to the point where it looks like a fan project that polished the everything BUT the animation itself

its not how agile he runs, its the way he runs, he looks so humanoid, if he ran like in King of monsters( the dinousaur styled runing) it would have been better. it makes sense why he is fast thougth, his design is more leaner and more adapted than his 2014-2021 one. besides african elephants are huge and their still fast.

Godzilla movies in Japan itself transitioned from big monster wrecking around into good monsters vs evil monsters from space. Just take a look at Final Wars Godzilla.
there might be more surprises not shown in this trailer.
Shimu, an Ice Dragon-looking titan is rumored to appear, in which gives Godzilla a massive beatdown in which he needed to recuperate and evolve.
Other things to take note is that Rodan is still out there, and Mothra is also possible to come back.

Godzilla seems to get smaller with every movie. And I like how it's more focused on the Titans than humans.
While we didn’t get a lot of perspective to scale him with other things in this trailer, other than Kong, it’s been confirmed that for every movie he’s in (in this universe at least), he’s grown a decent bit.
I think the reason you think this is because of the monsters Godzilla’s fought. First the mutos, who were decent in size, but pretty sure Godzilla was bigger than both of them. Then ghidorah who towered over Godzilla but was relatively slim, making Godzilla seem small in comparison. Finally there’s kong and mecha-Godzilla who were both around Godzilla’s size, if not overall bigger.
TL;DR: Godzilla is getting progressively bigger, it’s just his foes keep one upping the previous in terms of overall size.
Wait until the movie comes out then you be disappointed. Back to the garbage human plot.
I think a lot of that has to do with the direction of each movie. Godzilla 2014 seemed so large because of the camera work and audio design, Gareth Edwards is really good with scale (see rogue one). He moved slow and carried weight and he’s often shown from the humans pov. It seems like as the movies continue they’re falling back on this. I loved how fast he was in Godzilla v Kong but it definitely takes away from the belief that this is supposed to be a 350+ ft tall thing
Your blind kid. In 2014 vs muto he was 108 meters tall "354ft" in 2019,2023 he is 390ft tall. So with his new evolve state he might be 395-397ft.

Kong on the other hand has been active and awake for a good long while... Which means Kong is older and likely reaching his Twilight years, hence the Robotic Brace...

im pretty good at figuring out the plot twists so far so heres what i think... Scar King is going to be the villian for a short time but i have a really good feeling towards the end Kong will make him understand that they need his help against the much more dangerous threat SHIMU. Also that little monkey is related to Scar king and that will also be a reason Scar king decides to change his ways.
