They had to turn this man into a criminal to justify their own stupidity.
Jose Sandoval Thts fucked up.
@@springthunderboxer You are stupid. Stop making this into something it is not. Racist piece of trash.
@@springthunderboxer thanks for continuing the cycle of hate. Just doing your part, I suppose.
They do the same in the nederlands
He went for a jury trial and the jury was likely a mix of white and black people. They acquired him which takes a majority of jurors. So your saying the jury was racist to acquit him?
This man had every right to shoot, they did not identify themselves.
Exactly!
It’s crazy that they charged him, he thought they were robbing him and if they went to the wrong home then they were trespassing in his home for no reason so if he shoots you charge him for not doing your job that’s crazy
JHeints - lol great idea.
homeowner: who is this?
me: POLICE DEPARTMEND LET ME SEE YOUR HANDS
HOMEOWNER: put his hands up
Me: this is a robbery, stay calm
Very true
@JHeints - that's why I got cameras
Thank God for that jury. This man was absolutely defending his home.
I love how if you leave the decision up to the cops and our own legal system the poor man gets found guilty, but it only takes 47 minutes for his peers to see he did nothing wrong
The police chief really pissed me off, you gotta admit when your officers are wrong
They know people are going to sue. So you have to deny to try to keep the city's money
@Klaa2 and so smug about it to.
Terrance Baptiste day1ss said “if I kill you they gone give me life. If you kill me they gone give you years. “ that statement is so true.
Blue thing line ?
The One your the problem nowadays
"You can't fire indiscriminately through a window"
Why not? Police do it all the time.
Right, woman minding her business clueless n cop shoots thru her window no charges
The police officer that killed that woman in Fort Worth, Texas fired indiscriminately through her window and killed her in her own home. When someone called the police because they saw her front door open at 2am
Diamond Starr uhhhhhhh he’s been arrested for murder
what kills me is that it wasn't indiscriminate he was shooting at the guy holding a gun aimed at his chest after he yelled out hes got a gun asking to identify. I see literally nothing that man could have been doing better. I would have handled it the same way consequences be damned.
Attatiana Jefferson and Philando Castille were both indiscriminately shot through windows with children present
Crazy how the cops can almost never hold themselves accountable for their wrong doings and ruin peoples lives in the process. Great to see him walk away alive and found not guilty!
Horrible he had to go through this. Glad it came out ok. Jury that saw what it really was.
At least the jury had a brain since the cops and judge didn’t.
I find it bullshit that after a person is found not guilty their record is still stand with the shit from the arrest. If someone is not guilty then the shit they were arrested for should be whipped from their record.
@@chaseviking5096 it's very simple to file for an expungement. Just sheer laziness is why it doesnt get done.
@@jerrelCbanks it's not hard filing for it. However it's not easy getting approved for it. Worth doing though.
@@chaseviking5096 in my state is pretty much guaranteed. Idk I guess it depends on who you ate and where you are. I even had old fines and court costs relating to the case that i couldn't afford to pay and the judge tossed them out as well(however the cunt prosecutor wanted me to pay them before I got it expunged but the judge said fuck it)
Good I'm glad
I love how it takes 47 minutes for a jury of our peers to find he’s innocent but our cops and judges are completely clueless and in denial
The system vs the people, smh cops suck bro

That is why i don't wang to be an officer, they get all those weird rules from their administration and sometimes their logic just sucks. Think about it for a second why they are not engineers but cops.
Proven innocent, yet the chief still stands behind and supports that kind of response. Unbelievable.
How would Ed Hargis react if HE caught unknown/unidentified people trying to enter HIS home in the middle of the night???
A black man who fired a bullet at cops and lived to tell the tale. Wow, he should do the lottery too with that kind of luck
But now he cant get a job because of that smdh
@@niheimthegadite7843 hopefully he already has one😮
Cops murder whites at the same rate as everyone else. Being black doesn't make a cop more likely to kill you for no reason. Cops murder people of EVERY single race daily
Lol 😂😂 😂😂 😂😂 😂😂 😂😂 😂 I almost died laughing but it's the truth and it's not funny about the killing up part he need to give me a number
@Chase DeBoer You do know you're speaking bullshit right?. I would rather get my statistics from the University of California's exhaustive study on this subject rather than some random guy on KRplus, no offence.
Copied and Pasted:
A study carried out at the University of California found "evidence of a significant bias in the killing of unarmed black Americans compared to unarmed white Americans".[1] In this study, the probability of being shot by the police as a black, unarmed person versus as a white, unarmed person was 3.49 times higher. Unarmed Hispanics' likelihood to be shot was 1.67 times higher than for unarmed Whites.
When police make mistakes, everyone pays for it but the police
EDIT: On March 13, 2020 #BreonnaTaylor was killed in her bed by Louisville PD officers looking for someone who didn't live there. No officers have been charged in her death.
Perfect Analysis! 💯💯

“You cant go shooting into windows indiscriminately” but you can go creeping into peoples backyards aiming guns at innocent people? Spoken like a true police officer

He was not able to get a job, due to incompetant cops.
Those incompetant cops should be forced to pay victim millions !
Cops are thugs plain and simple, brain dead
@Bloop so if a cop is literally about to shoot you dead or strangle you or assault you or rape you for no reason (theres never a reason for some of these) you are meant to just take it ? Let them do whatever because they are your "dear friends" ??? Come on dude. You cant be this spineless
There is this thing in law called "Intent" and "Knowingly". If you are at a bar, and someone picks at you , you respond and you find out LATER they were a cop, they cant convict you of assaulting a cop. The cop has to either be in uniform or announce themselves as a cop and show a badge. you did not "Knowgling " assault a cop or disregard a law enforcement order.
@Bloop True
WTF !!! The cops were at fault -- the right thing to do is to admit their mistake.
TheHojirt I know right! If no jury they would have tried to bury this. The man could not work for 10 months
TheHojirt
Why admit you're wrong if you can cover it up, save face, and make someone else pay for the whole thing $$$? These people are beyond corrupt! No one was hurt, the cops were wrong, the man was only protecting his family, so why did this even go to court?
Yeah right. A real police force would admit they made a mistake, not a thug force. They guy did the right thing by shooting a warning shot. The police never shoot warning shot.
@Noble Grand Far from true. The police force is largely full of idiots that planned to be cops at a young age. Largely due to knowing they weren't smart enough for college.
TheHojirt find me one example of cops admitting a mistake and I’ll PayPal you $1000. It just doesn’t happen when the higher ups get involved. Doesn’t matter how bad the circumstances, they protect themselves first like a gang
Look at how casually that officer lies.
I like that at the end the reporter says “You don’t know Brandon, but if he had shot just an inch or two the side everyone would” shows awareness to how easily the situation can take a turn and the story gets perceived.
I was so relieved when I heard the jury saw it in his favour.
The cops bring charges in order to cover up their own mistakes/crimes.
Should have never gone that far. They were on his property sneaking around.
I’m angry he has a record though! Now he can’t get a job. And are those his three kids?
@@amazingsupergirl7125 people get jobs with records. It can be more difficult and some jobs won't take you, but many will. A good employer will allow you to give your version and hear you out after 1st interview. I'm not certain, but he can get that off his record or at least have it sealed.
@@fuufii2300 I agree completely. Then the pricks botch the entire operation then try to blame someone for a situation that they completely created. Oh well.. we all know cops aren't required to actually know and comprehend the laws they enforce.

@@rodneygreen2705 Brianna Taylor 🙏🏾
@@te8828 Yeah, they do. So long as they say they feared for their life, they get away with it all the time. A shiny object, something in their hand, "he raised his hand menacingly", it happens all the time. Look up Wilfredo Ortiz in the Chicago PD. He opened fire into a crowd of people partying on their back deck, injuring two brothers and their pregnant sister, claiming he saw a gun in one of their hands. They never found one, but this didn't stop Chicago PD with arresting the two brothers and charging each with multiple felonies like aggravated assault and weapons charges. And, one of the detectives investigating the case supposedly received a confession from one of the brothers, but nurses and doctors testified that he had no idea what was going on at the time, and so the judge threw out the confession. Luckily, both men were eventually acquitted.
Why was the cop in their yard in the first place? This is where it gets fucked up. The downstairs neighbor of one of the brothers, whose house it belonged to, had come outside and fired a few bullets into the air from his handgun. This drew the officer into their yard, but the guy with the gun had already gone back downstairs to his apartment. And, everyone at the party told police about this, BUT THE POLICE NEVER EVEN INTERVIEWED THIS GUY. Now, why would they ignore clearly relevant information? Well, because if they admit this guy fired the rounds and NOT the brothers, that would mean the cops would have to admit fucking up. Instead, a bunch of Chicago PD cops colluded together to frame two brothers with charges that could see them do decades in prison. All to avoid admitting a mistake was made. And, what do you think happened to this cop. Literally, nothing. CPD and prosecutors deemed the shoot justified and as far as I know he is still on the force today, despite another lawsuit from when he beat a handcuffed suspect. Yep, shooting through a window, and/or door indiscriminately, like they did with Breonna Taylor or Peyton Strickland or Tarika Wilson and I know there are more, these are just off the top of my head, is commonplace in America.
Basically, if a cop fears for their life, or the lives of others, they can shoot recklessly at a threat, hit others, and virtually always nothing happens (except large settlements to the families). I mean, there is a case where one cop was being attacked by a guy with a knife, and so 2 or 3 other officers open up, killing both the attacker, and the victim officer. Another one, a guy was coming at an officer with a baseball bat, so he opens fire indiscriminately, killing a woman standing behind the guy. But, because he was reasonable to fear for his life, it's justified. Yet, if you or I, as a citizen were to have our life threatened by someone, and we opened fire and killed innocent bystanders, we would be charged with their deaths (not murder, but manslaughter or the like), and we would be civilly reliable for all those damages. But, cops, who SHOULD BE TRAINED TO NOT SHOOT BYSTANDERS, get a free pass. Happens ALL THE TIME. Hell, cops beat people to within an inch of their life, then try to cover up their wrongdoing which leads to the death of that individual and they are never even reprimanded, and were still on the force a decade later with zero consequences (James Philip Chasse, Jr). I mean, Key West police (KEY FUCKING WEST POLICE FOR CHRIST'S SAKE) crushed an elderly man to death and lied about their actions to cover it up, saying that he merely collapsed and they found him unresponsive on the ground, when there is clear video evidence showing him surrender on the ground with hands out, and THEN the police pile on top of the retiree until his whole head turns blue, and it becomes clear that the man is dead, and again, nothing happened to those cops (Charles Eimers).
But this isn't even the worst of it. There are several videos online showing police from the NYPD, LAPD, Boston PD, and a Florida deputy somewhere, all planting drug evidence on people. And, if you look into the Baltimore Gun Trace Task Force, LAPD Rampart Scandal, Ronald Watts from Chicago PD, the Danziger Bridge Shootings and subsequent cover-up frame job of two innocent people, the murder and subsequent cover up of Henry Glover in New Orleans, the 39th District Corruption Scandal, and again, those are just off the top of my head. I know there are more. ANd, if you've ever wondered how cops who blow the whistle on abuse and corruption are treated, check into Joe Crystal of Baltimore PD, Cariol Horne of Buffalo PD, "Lobstergate Police Scandal", Adrian Schoolcraft (the NYPD had this dude admitted to the mental hospital on false allegations because he was exposing corruption), and again, I am sure you could find more examples. This shit is not a small, isolated incident. It happens constantly.
The chief should be fired he’s a goose stepper!! Glad we have the right to a jury trial I would have sued there asses off!

The scariest part of this entire story is that the police still believe they did the right thing. Our entire society is in jeopardy with these type of police running around.
I disagree. The scariest part of this entire story is that guys hair. Lol
Oh they could've flash banged both his kids in there bed shot his woman and killed him and the neighbors to "we responded perfectly" n just get paid leave
Some people need to be backlogged so they never become a police officer i.e. any supremacist
Saint Penn yes 😂
Wrong but strong 🙄
"We have investigated ourselves and have determined that we did nothing wrong" Typical police line.
Which is obviously a lie, they didn’t investigate anything.
You're not kidding. It's the same old lines vomited over and over.
Did he ever win any lawsuit or anything to stay afloat through all this bs?
I’m glad from Mr. Watson! You did the right thing and protecting your family you had no idea who was out there! I am on your side. My nephew is a police officer. Again I am on your side you did the right thing and I’m sorry you had to go through so much to prove your innocence!!!
The gate is open so that must be the house? Wtf? Why not make sure?
What ever happened to checking for the house number?
Finally people with brain cells. Cop bad, black good. Cops make mistakes, humans too
💯💯👏👏👏
Assumptions make an ass out of you and me.
The 911 operators should be liable whenever they transmit wrong info
“We’ve taken lasers off the weapons”
All I heard was now you won’t know when we are pointing our gun at you in the dark
Agreed.
Right. I though the same thing
My sentiments exactly 💯
And in the wrong yard

The fact they even thought of charging him is a joke
Crazy situation,
"Fire indiscriminately"
Well... they were breaking and entering so thats illegal.
they had no warrant and here in the wrong house. The cops were INVADING the incorrect house.
Cops or not, home invaders deserve to be killed, too bad he missed.
Yes, they are hated and distrusted and richly deserve to be.
@@user-zd9fc4vs4q I remember a cop was killed and the home owner wasn't charged for it.
@@rayhe8224 that's good, I'm glad the courts still have some common sense.
@@user-zd9fc4vs4q Cop didn't announce himself, but the man was charged 18 months for drug related charges which I'm okay with it.
I can’t believe they tried to charge the man instead of the police! Police should’ve been charged!! Outrageous 🙄
Yep
And the police, the chief, and the prosecutor see no fault of their own. Only him and all 12 jurors are wrong.
I can believe it. That's how sociopaths think.
They’re lucky they didn’t get shot and killed in the first place.
I am all for the police, but this is a gross mistake and misconduct. They should’ve apologized, worked with DA or whomever to completely expunge his record AND compensate him for wages lost. I know, taxpayers foot the bill but we’re paying taxes regardless. Might as well use it when it’s warranted. This is one such case. Tragic.
Why is there no body cam footage from this night?
you ALWAYS demand a jury trial
Dominos gets it right everytime ,i dont understand how the cops dont
john loa facts
Dominos wishes it got it right 3/10 times. That place blows.
u got lucky with your dominos them motherfuckers gave me the wrong order and didn’t even cut the pizza 😂

Blahblah
Yet they Lie. Portsmouth Keystone Kops, as reckless as ever.s,
Exactly! Why remove the laser?
HI MAN FROM SWEDEN GOOD WORK MAN 👋👋👋👋👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿
And that’s the police chief’s response??? Incredible
Imagine a man sitting in his own couch eating ice cream and an off duty officer comes in and shoots him dead...wait, no need to imagine!
Smh
Atleast she went to prison, now if only the scumbag cop on my side of the city goes to jail for killing the woman in her home for pointing a gun at the window when unannounced cops tried to illegally scout her home out.(Fort Worth)
@@EL-cw9do She will try to appeal it and probably will succeed now that the brother and judge hugged her.
Everett Lara only 10 years for a breakin and murder
Isn't that a shame.
The police chief says the cops didn't hear him but the only reason they could have known he had a gun was if they heard him, this was before he fired his warning shot.
And he supports them not announcing they were police while trying to enter the WRONG house?
That chief is incompetent.
He said the police didn't say anything until he got to the front door, that would support the claim that the cops didn't hear him say he had a gun before the shot. Also, he said he supported the overall actions of his officers, not the one specific point where they didn't announce themselves.
This is why things get pushed under the rug...people will focus on pieces that have nothing to do with the real issue and then neglect to mention what really matters.
What about their inconsistent claim (lie) of their guns being pointed at the ground yet using their tactical lights to scan the room at the same time? Or about him being charged even though he had reasonable cause to feel threatened enough to defend himself? No, the fact that they didn't hear him say he had a gun is definitely worth shadowing these issues.
@@duewhat9815 Bruh, I'm sure whatever shit your saying was said by dozens of ppl in the comments section. Why do we all have to say the same thing? Didn't see him say this is the only or most important issue. He probably even commented it halfway through the video before that stuff was even mentioned. So why do you have to start an argument with people that basically agree with you. We all agree the cops acted inapropriatly. You wanna go start an internet fight, then do it with someone who actually disagrees with you. You pretentious fuck.
I agree that if he says he supports their actions than he supports all of their actions. Including not announcing themselves. Feel like that's a big no no for the po po
+Nathan Hutchison Relax man, if you agree with me then there's no reason to get so upset right? We don't have to say the same thing, but I'd rather hear someone make a good point with repeated information rather than trying to make a problem where there was little to no problem. I see it all the time, a cop uses excessive force or even sometimes brutality and I see more comments complaining about the fact that he asked for ID or arrested him than physically assaulting someone. If you try, it's actually easy to tell the difference between someone who is speaking out of hatred of the police rather than making an educated conclusion. But I've come to realize that most people like yourself aren't really bright enough to make legitimate complaints though, and it's sad because people like you tend to be the loudest and most heard too.
Yup..
Good for him I'm glad he got justice
WOW 😳 that's the problem. They should start prosecuting the police chief this is where it all starts and this is where it should 🛑 because they are constantly covering up for the bad cops no matter what heinous crime they commit.
Brandon was defending his home and life. Glad your alive bro.
@Erica Wilson;Straight facts! How was Brandon supposed to know they were cops at the door? I'd have done the same thing.
Personally if I were bout to kill someone I would yell to back tf up
This is the reason police are hated , the nerve of police brass to take this attitude is disgusting
If they had the moral integrity to simply admit wrongdoing and apologize this would've been a non-issue. Instead they paupered an innocent man and wasted thousands of taxpayer dollars prosecuting ridiculous, trumped-up charges. Well done, guys.
@@wilsoncalhoun exactly, i am pretty pro police and if they said, "we fucked up, here is some money for damages" and went on to change their policies and tactics, it would have been a win win
@Tim 0341 Power corrupts, it's that simple...
Big Travis they protect their own. Public Unions are Immoral. You already work for the Government,,, why you need a Union??
Not all cops are bad but damn how stupid do they think people are
It's crazy how the government tries to destroy your life even though you acted in good faith. This guy is lucky to be alive. Though this happened 8 years ago this is still happening today. Just this month April 2023 police destroyed a family by going to the wrong house in New Mexico, that guy wasn't so lucky.
Sue
"They gate was open it had to be that house" cant even leave your gate open without being a suspect smh
no, it's not that the gate was open, it is that they said "it was open"when in fact it was probably closed and they lied as they usually do to cover themselves.
This guy should be arrested for that haircut
Ryan Jones the haircut is fine you blind fucking idiot, you completely ignored the point of this
"If" the gate was open. Cops lie worse than anyone.
WHY CANT ANY POLICE DEPT EVER EVER ADMIT THEIR OFFICERS MIGHT POSSIBLY HAVE DONE SOMETHING WRONG ONCE LOL
That's not legal that's a home invasion “Tyranny is defined as that which is legal for the government but illegal for the citizenry.”

ST Havoc this ⬆️💯
The police don't work for the government. They work for the state. What they did do was complete bullshit and their fault. They committed a crime by trying to enter with no warrant and not stating who they were.
@@chaseviking5096 Er.. What about the state government??
@@AdriAsTheSiren nice try with your argument but it doesn't change the fact that the police work for the state not the government. The police are not the feds.
