      It harms victims to have harsh sentences "because false accusers" wont come forward. Witnesses that overheard a friend talking about her "false accusation" wont come forward knowing that friend will be hurt. And victims of actual rapes wont come forward because fear of getting prosecuted.
      Its tough call personally I agree that sentences should be harsh. Personally I think as much time as him "labeled as a felon and a sex offender" pretty much forcing them to tell neighbors all future employers (spouses) that they ruined somebodys life as part of staying current on sex offender registry. Along with repayment to him for his lost time wages/education everything paying for any therapy ect he may need. And the debt should have compounding interest (because lost time wages damages every second he is not repaid in full is subtracting from his future/potential at a compounding rate)A four year late start is essentially stealing your highest earning years from you.

      👩‍⚖️ ~ The judge made the right sentence. Do you want the next guy to never get out of prison because the next woman (aka Amber Heard) that falsely accused him is unwilling to come forward? I guess that’s what you want. Punishing this woman may feel like justice, but it does nothing for any other men who are falsely accused. Had this woman been caught by police, then give her five years or more in prison. But she came forward when she didn’t have to. Nobody suspected she was lying. If this woman is crucified the you doom the next man that could get out of prison because the woman comes forward voluntarily. So which is more important, vengeance or overall justice.o

      welcome to "justice" USA by lawyers.
      i am retired. a retired SM (sergeant major) with 25 perfect service years joins a gym in Jacksonville, fl. tell the manager he is retired and did 5 tours in Iraq and was "injured" but did not go into details.
      he is 48 the "cute" desk clerk is 21. gave her a flower (rose) one day. she says thank you. he wrote her a poem. got a TY. did not see her for months. sent her a christmas card. nothing else. just a christmas card. no weapons, threats or harm (anything).
      he comes back from DC (his home) and two day later a civil stalking charge is presented him via local PD. $1000 for mr/ms. legal person (they need their cut of "justice").
      the judge (that was elder) dismisses the claim. he did a "soft" riot act to the SM; more on the age "disparage" than anything else. he had to sit for an hour to let the "victim" leave the bldg.the look on the judge's face of this being "bs"; but justice can not deny batting "eyelashes" and poor me.
      the "victim" did not have to pay $1000 for any attorney. why? a "social justice" group in the county provides the "victim" (female) a free attorney. why? well for "social justice".
      out $1000. he moves within ten days to a town about 20min north. sells car, belongings and everything. remember SM he had been deployed to five different nations.
      moves to the dominican republic (as to be semi-close to the US). as he is getting his flight in tampa and allowed to walk on the tarmac.
      he "spits" on the ground in the name of his service to our nation, the personnel he lost, his PTSD, other injury's and his "good name".
      he is now 49 with a 25yoa domincan girlfriend (in the US that is automatically a "pervert") that "she" stalks him night and day in "love". with walks on the beach.
      the previous "victim" probably trying to get out of her student loan, attending BLM protests, and "transitioning" to lesbian.
      our nation can write (all) the biased, discriminatory laws the want to protect the cunning "princess's" you could not and can not touch this man's (SM) integrity.
      that integrity of service to (our) nation; is more honored and respected outside the nation he served than "in" the nation he protected and served. factual.
      an not this is "not" an isolated case.

      @MNEWALL1 7 년 전 +14

      Jame Gumb Not at all, the real issue, is that it should require more than a transparent lie to get a conviction in the first place.
      I think the issue here, is that false accusations which can be seen through, need to have real consequence on the front end. Start by making it clear, that you will suffer real consequence if we can establish you are liar on our own. The issue of just charging in the UK with a waste of police time, is well outrageous. The essential complete lack of consequence in the US, Canada, and Australia, is even more so.

    • @MNEWALL1
      @MNEWALL1 7 년 전 +8

      Jeff Jones Part of the problem, is that we keep looking at these things as different things, but they are the same. The frequency of false accusations will perforce grow as it is made easier, and the consequence appears to be non existent. The pressure against real sentences for the accused even in cases where there is clear evidence, will grow directly with this perception that a large chunk of the cases are BS.
      The process needs to be clear, the deliberate clouding of the issue in Colleges needs to stop (where sex initiated by a woman after a couple of drinks is not a rape of that woman, although campus surveys are counting it that way). The Brock Turner case, well, he was caught, witnesses etc. If the case is strong, well then so should the consequence be. However, this case and that relate, only in that to the degree we let women like this (and most face no consequence) make false accusations and allow the basic idea of rape to be diluted, we also make punishing real rape harder. The idea that men cannot be sexually assaulted needs to end, the idea that unwanted verbal contact is an assault, that a woman who initiates sex, is the victim needs to end. This in part so that cases like Brock Turner's are taken with the seriousness they deserve.

The guys that might be mean to you may be black, and I assure you, black men are not treated by kids gloves by the law system.

      @@TeslaEmperor That doesn't make it any better. There's still literally no proof and it's still a he said she said thing. Nobody should be able to go to jail just because their partner changed their mind AFTER the fact and that's not valid proof. Better a guilty man go free than an innocent one rotting in jail. The guilty man can always be caught and jailed later and monitored closely but the innocent man can never get his life back.
      He may have only spent 4 years in jail but it's the prime years of his life and he misses out on 4 years of school, what's his option for schooling now, sit in class with middle schoolers when he's supposed to be a senior? Those allegations are always going to follow him around, people will always doubt and second guess if he actually did it, not exactly a good idea to put him in class with "kids" and he will be bullied in school, maybe not 'purposefully' but people will gossip and stare and start a million rumors. People do not recover from allegations like that meanwhile she'll spend 2 months in a cushy jail cell allowed to go free on weekends, basically just getting to skip school and she'll be met with comments like "you go girl" while getting patted on the back for "doing the right thing". The double standards are real; male victims don't even get justice when they have all the proof in support of them, women only need their word.

      @@georgenuamah2424- But you have it backwards. This woman was not caught. That’s the difference. If someone is caught lying, then a severe punishment is more than warranted. Feminism at its best.

    • @iMatti00
      @iMatti00 년 전

      It wouldn’t feel like justice in one way, but another way it would absolutely feel like justice. I would be grateful to this woman. She never had to come forward and my son would’ve served out the rest of his prison sentence, if it wasn’t already over, and he would live the rest of his life classified as a predator and never be able to go to college or have a good career and would always be looked at as horrible.
      And also you would never really know if your son was innocent or not. I think a lot of parents would say they know their son is innocent, but that’s a lie. They may feel it in their mind, but they’re wrong. Many people commit other crimes and their family never sees it coming. I always think about dateline specials (Or whatever) when they say they never even had a cross their mind and their family member committed a crime or murder, and I always think that’s ridiculous. Anybody is able to do anything. If someone said my grandmother committed murder currently or when she was younger, I would know it could be possible. Anybody is capable of anything, might not be likely but it is possible. So you would never really know if your son was innocent or if he was lying and going to the grave with his lie.

    I just had a false allegation upon me by my longtime gf.
    She made two criminal allegations against me.
    She had wrecked my car drunk.
    We argued and then she said Im going to call the police and say you drove. (I had been drinking when she arrived in my smashed car)
    As the argument ensued I asked her angrily to leave. "Get a cab and go!"
    She said I'm not leaving. YOU ARE!
    Matter of fact I'll call the cops and say you are abusive and violent and that you were driving.
    "Who they going to believe? Me or you...!?"
    While she was in her drunken fit. I had turned my cell camera on and recorded her diabolical plan.
    I could have been removed from my own home... could have all my lawfully owned firearms taken. And ended up with a DUI.
    Charge with assault as well...
    I am now installing cameras in my home front and back yard.
    Once they make an allegation put it in writing they are trapped into the Matter of which you will pay dearly...

      Good on you for recording. I hate hearing about all the cases like these where the man is accused and doesn't record anything... If it's her word against his it's an auto loss for the man, as soon as you even have reason to believe they're going to go down that route record everything, every little scoff or argument no matter how minor. Women should document everything too but way more important for men...
      We have cameras and audio recording devices in our pockets at all times, make it more common to use them... Even if you don't think you'll ever need it document it, if the relationship is looking rocky document every little mishap and if they start threatening things like that never go anywhere near them without recording it... I'd even go so far as to audio record intimate moments in case they try to claim foul play in bed too
