Embarrassing. This is a disgrace.
They are pathetic. This is the city council who demanded the end to racism. Paid a public servant $300,000 of tax payers' money who a judge said did not deserve it, plus gave thousands of dollars of tax payers' money to some citizens who were arrested for destroying private property, but terminated 2 women of color because they disapproved of their ideology.
Its sad but these councils and office is all about paying people off. From local government on up. MONEY should not be in politics. I applaud her for saying what needs to be said.

It has been alleged she was terminated because violent crime continued to rise. If that is true, it fortifies many people’s opinions, collectively, Portsmouth City council is either insane, foolish, ill-advised, inept, stupid, simple, incompetent, idiotic or most likely refusing to admit it does not have a clue how to operate a city. In this order, citizens, cops, Police Chiefs, are solely responsible for the reduction of crime, not city managers. This is Karma giving them their heart’s desire as they terminated Chief Greene who was effectively reducing crime in Portsmouth by ordering her staff to arrest criminals. For that reason alone, she was let go.
Well REALITY IS she like mayor of most cities are plagued with gun violence ESPECIALLY in RED LINED AREAS. IF you live near or have RED LINED DISTRICT get ready for some violence. It is what it is. They will not invest in these areas aside from hiring more police which take more resources see the problem its a vicious cycle . They will not invest in the areas people see its designed to be that way.

Does anyone know if Dr. Mark Whitaker had requested a personal favor from former city manager Angel Jones? It appears he consulted/convinced/contacted his 3 brothers on city council to have her terminated. Is that possible or probable? Review the council meeting dated 05/24/22 beginning at 1 hour 16 minutes. When he announced his intention, almost simultaneously, his 3 brothers raised their hands. To this listener, Dr. Whittaker’s voice reverberated with determination to end the career of someone he had a strong passionate disdain for.
He is not a Dr. - He is a JD and lawyers are not called Dr. This is his ego

Hi could you please explain the details leading up to letting this person go. It sound like they gave her several chances? Also I don’t believe the public understands how important this position is for the city. I know I need a fresh civics lesson ago.
I understand the council person being upset and they did a good job making it look like women against men. But as well all know by know that is an excuse we can not use anymore. Accountability and Responsibility are definitely highlighted in this clip. Thank you ☺️

Beautiful Brenda Carter One knows your message is spoken with a sincere heart, but many prayers are not answered as we continue to ignore/go against Christ's teachings. Some churches are teaching us to hate outsiders. One has personally visited two and it saddens one many Christians allow it. A church had a guess speaker from an important body of our government who spoke evil about outsiders. When that church collectively appeared shocked, that speaker said, “We may as well hate them because they hate us.” That church is not located in the city of Portsmouth. Our Savior commanded us to love everyone, not those who loves us, not those who we want to love, but to love everyone. Whenever a church allows any organization to express their political opinions which eliminates love for outsiders, that church is teaching hate. Which is a main reason prayers are not answered. At least not with a possible good response. Thank you
