The thing with Conte's Italy team, I really disagree that he failed. Italy was not fancied back then and they put in heck of performances, notably against Spain. Nobody expected them to win that tournament, they went far enough, also with players who aren't exactly top like Graziano Pelle! Italy's always hot and cold that's why they can't even qualify for the World Cup with a manager who's won them the Euro, imagine that the champions of Europe are NOT in the World Cup and yet that's the case.

Midfield is competitive and if choosing best squad overall in midfield then Spurs have it, but as first choice 11 it would be Kovacic and Kante. Conte is ahead of Tuchel because its hard to believe Tuchel would have changed the dominance in Italy twice and got Spurs on track so quickly. Tuchel is clearly a very good manager but you can have some luck in winning a CL, look at Di Matteo.
