I think they should respect the community more. Like they shouldn’t label themselves as a ‘KPOP’ group and rather just a pop group since they aren’t actually all Korean and I’m not saying you have to be, but they should have more respect towards the Korean community. Their training hasn’t been long which obviously shows and they copied so many things from TOMORROW X TOGETHER’s (TXT) MV ‘crown’ and their shots have also been weird (in the MV).
I just wish that people actually show more respect

In the beginning, on the magazine that had a male idol on it and the song is about relationship. It’s rude how they used an idol who (probably is older than them) and show this as if dating was that simple.

Personally the music is fine, yes they have a few things like Way said can be improved on, like focus on all members rather than just the one etc. but some of the hate they get is exaggerated too much.

이건 케이팝이 한 나라의 문화가 아니라 하나의 장르가 되어가는 과정이 아닐까 싶내요
팝이나 레게를 미국인이나 흑인들만 하는 고유의것이 아닌 하나의 장르인듯이
케이팝이란게 우리의것이 아닌 하나의 장르가 되었다는게 느껴지네요

원래 한국분 빼고 나머지 분들은 오래전부터 kpop커버 댄스팀이엇슴. 한국와서 홍대에서도 커버한적 있고 댄스커버는 매우 잘함. 첨에 시작한다 했을때는 영어로 해서 그쪽에 가서 한국어로 해야 kpop의미가 있다라고 댓글남긴적 잇슴. 댄스만으로 완성되지는 않기에 싱잉부분에서는 좀 더 노력하면 좋겠고 너무 폐쇄적으로 생각말고 노력의 박수를 주면 좋겠다는게 개인생각.

진짜 솔직하게 피드백 하자면 ‘어정쩡’한 듯. 아직 실력이 좀 부족한 것 같고 표정도 뭔가 어색함. 확 끌리는 느낌이 없음. 그래도 열심히 노력해서 실력키우고 표정연습하면 잘 성장할 수 있을듯? 가능성이 없어 보이긴 않음 기대되긴 함.

늘 백인에게 문화 경제적으로 열등감을 가지고 있다가
kpop이 세계적으로 뜨니 같은 아시아라고 묻어가며 별 상관없는 지들이 자존심 세우며 kpop은 아시안만 가능하다는 주장을 하죠.

@@nevmar15 yh there was a kpop group with only foreign girls tht debuted (but disbanded shortly after :/) they were under a Korean company and trained, international fans were nice to them n liked them so yes intl fans will accept non asian idols if they come in the same way as Asian idols do: train under a Korean company in Korea to debut. Rather than these foreigners make a random song and declare themselves kpop -_- it's not our industry to barge in and label ourselves under just like that

Apparently they didn’t even have the group lineup finalized the week of their MV filming. Honestly, I feel sorry for the girls in the group. It’s the company that should really be ashamed, since I highly doubt they didn’t anticipate this reaction. If the girls were given time to train, learn the pronunciation and choreography, had a well written and produced song, actual makeup artists and stylists, and a legitimate MV company hired from Korea (in other words, what almost every idol group gets when it’s a legitimate debut that is attempting to launch a successful career), they’d probably do just fine or at least not be lambasted online.

낙서가 많이 되어있는 영국 길바닥에서 핸드폰으로 찍어서 유튜브에 올린 것 같음.. 카메라 무빙 완전 세기말 스타일인데,,? 오히려 케이팝 좋아하는 외국 댄서 크루 일반인들 영상이 더 퀄리티있고 진짜 케이팝의 특성을 잘 살린듯..
확실히 영국에서 시도해보지 않은 장르라서 그런지 어색한 면도 있지만 오히려 새로운 장르에 대해서 처음 시도하는 거면 케이팝 노래, 군무, 뮤비 등 특징을 잘 캐치해서 더 철저하게 연구하고 준비했어야 한다고 생각함. 케이팝이든 뭐든 간에 최소한 새로운 시도를 타이틀로 잡고 주제로 한다면 주제에 대한 깊이 있는 이해가 가장 중요하다는 건 당연한거 아닌가? 노래와 춤 실력은 연습하면 되니까 저 연예인들 잘못은 아니라고 생각함. 근데 저 소속사는 진짜 케이팝에 대한 이해도가 부족한 것 처럼 보임.
사람이 이탈리안 피자 가게를 차려서 맛집이 되겠어! 할 때도 그냥 대충 이탈리안 피자 구글링해서 사진만 몇개 서치해서 밀가루 반죽 둥글게 펴서 소시지 잘라넣고 케찹 바르고 치즈 뿌리면 그게 이탈리안 피자는 아니잖슴, 이탈리안 피자라는 타이틀을 내걸었으면 이탈리아와 피자에 대한 역사라든지 식재료 하나하나 꼼꼼히 확인해서 이탈리안 피자라는 명성에 누가 되지 않는 피자를 내놔야하는게 맞는것 처럼 케이팝도 똑같다고 봄.

이건 개인적인 생각이지만, 그분들 노래가 살짝 아니었던 것 같아요 같은소리를 계속 반복하는데 신선하질 않아ㅠ많은 아이돌분들 노래를 들어보면 물론 훅이라던가 코러스 등등등등 같은부분은 많지만 가사라도 다른곳이 많은데, 이분들은 계속 반복을 하셔서 살짝 아쉬웠어요

올초쯤인가 영국쪽 랜덤플레이댄스 영상보다가 중간에 먼가 첨듣는 노래가 있어서 기억이 나네요. 그룹이름이 가치를 갖자는 의미?에서 'kaachi' 라고 이름지었던거 같은데... 가물가물. 한국사람 한명없었던거로 기억나고 한국 노래 좋아서 가사부터 한국어로 써주는데 노래가 꽤 좋았었어요.

Thanks so much for reacting to Kaachi! They trained and debuted during the pandemic so couldn't practice together, and one of the members (the English one/most awkward dancer) was in the group for like 1 month. They will improve! The 2 main dancers are well trained, they just need more vocal training.

모든 문화는 서로 영향을 주고 배우는 겁니다.
장르는 누구의 소유도 아닙니다. 케이팝의 연고지가 한국이라고 케이팝이 오로지 한국인만의 것이 아닙니다. 장르는 모두의 문화지요. 마찬가지로 누구나 알듯이 케이팝도 미국 팝에서 배운 부분도 있잖아요.
한국 고유의 음악에서 시작해서 팝 송, 최근에는 라틴 음악과도 연결되고 있고 계속 거슬러 올라가면 아프리카 음악(레게, 힙합), 일본 음악과도 연결되어 있습니다. 그럼에도 그 누구도 따라했다고 뭐라 안하죠. 오히려 여러 나라 문화의 음악과 장르가 섞여 만들어진게 케이팝의 색다른 매력이기도 합니다.
아시다시피 케이팝 음악에는 한곡에도 정말 여러 장르의 음악들이 섞여 있죠. 크게 나누어보면 힙합, 발라드, 락, 일렉트로닉 장르 등의 음악들이 한곡에 다 들어가 있습니다.
모든 문화가 배우고 섞이며 새로운 문화가 탄생하고 그 문화가 다른 문화에 영향을 줍니다. 모든 문화가 그렇습니다. 개방적인 자세로 서로 알려주고 배워야 합니다. 전 한국의 문화가 이런식으로 영향을 준다니 오히려 기뻐요.
참고로 저는 캐나다에서 살지만 케이팝이라는 연결고리 덕분에 정말 많은 외국친구들을 사귈 수 있었습니다. 특히 스페인에서 케이팝의 열기가 대단하지요. 한편으로 정말 고맙고 자랑스럽습니다.

@@brinaaline529 yep, thats true. While they promote themselves as the first idol group from England, they didnt promote anything, targeting South Korean viewers. I think thats because they wanted to attract Global fans more than Korean fans, which makes sense, they dont promote/perform in South Korea after all. If they did, they probably wont be a "controversy" but a group that will be ignored by Korean fans, imo. These days, so many producers and music critics in Korea always put emphasis how general public hate people that sing/rap in Korean weirdly/have a thick foreign accent, and most singers that do that get ignored.

Wen O nah let’s be real here , although the cancelling and hate of I-fans is definitely messed up and unnecessary, if they actually debuted in SK and promoted there no one would even want to watch their performances as well as buy their stuff and the would receive a lot of criticism as well. Truth is these girls aren’t even nearly as talented as those people you see on KRplus doing kpop covers for fun. The vocals are just really bad and they only have two decent dancers and are not even in sync half of the time when performing. I don’t really know what they were expecting to happen with such a short training period when most kpop groups on average take about 4-6 months time to prepare for their debut only and that is excluding the time they spent just training in general to be in a kpop idol. Just a couple of days before their debut they were still trying to recruit new members and sending other girls emails. On top of their production team doing them really dirty the production on the song was just god awful. So again regardless they were still going to get ridiculed with this bad of a preparation.

now, talking about the video, 2 members are spanish that's why their accent is different, coco never sang and the other girl just barely sang a pair of lines, they focused a lot in one member only and forgot about the others. i think people don't like it because the song is monotone and they repeated the same lines over and over again. it was their first video but, they had the support of a company and people in us and europe are kind of picky when u talk about music, the company could have do it better. have a nice day

I think that if they had received the same training is the trainees do in Korea....then they wouldn’t have gotten such a backlash from everyone. Idols have to work hard for years before debuting and that’s what makes K-pop the caliber it is. Songs catchy.....but Kaachi just isn’t for me. 저는 동남아쪽 반응을 좀 봤는데 거기도 인종 얘기를 많이 하더라고요 아직은 케이팝이 대부분 아시아 멤버로 한정되어 잇는데 거기에 서양인이 나오는 걸 경계한다고 해야하나 서양이 예전에 동남아를 식민지배하면서 빼앗아 간 게 많은데 이젠 케이팝까지 넘본다며 안 좋아하는 사람들도 잇더라고요

@@yamiyami595 잘 알고 계시네요. 네 맞습니다. 게다가 또 다른 이유 하나 추가하자면, 동남아팬들 대부분 케이팝의 장르화에 굉장히 큰 경계심을 갖고 있습니다. 벹남의 vpop, 태국의 tpop, 필핀의 ppop 등으로 나오고 있는 아이돌그룹을 보면, 사실상 한국에서 트레닝된 전형적인 케이팝스타일의 그룹입니다. 노래말만 자기나라 언어로 부를 뿐 모든 케이팝의 특징이 다 들어가있지요...만약 이번 kaachi 등이 케이팝으로 인정받는다면, 자기네 자국 문화를 키우고 싶어하는 동남아 여러나라들의 대중음악이 케이팝의 아류 또는 케이팝이라 한묶음으로 여겨 질 수 있지요. 이걸 원치 않기 때문에 더욱 kaachi 에 대한 비난 여론이 특히 그쪽 지역에서 거센겁니다.

I think the most hurtful comments are from people who love K-pop but are not from Korea. You see everything from the point of view of an idol, since you lived through that process and you know what you are going through.

For me personally, I consider anyone who was trained in the Korean trainee system then debuted as a “Kpop idol”. There are so many foreign (all be it, still Asian) idols who are very successful in Kpop right now because they went through that trainee system. That’s why we don’t see very many “bad” groups out there, because everyone has trained to some extent. Even take Uhsn, they were all girls from different countries that came to Korea TO LEARN AND BE TRAINED LIKE KPOP IDOLS! I think if Kaachi had trained a little longer they would have been much better as a whole.

actually, as a Korean myself, I am very open-minded to this kind of thing. I don't have any problem at all and i think it will be great if world accepts kpop as a genre of music.
like we have accepted rock from white-American, reggae from Jamaican, EDM from EU, and Hip-hop from African-American.
I agree with the opinion that they need more time tho. ;)

Im really sorry But I don't agree with you, kpop is literally edm, hiphop, pop, soul, r&b. You can't distinguish kpop as genre because k-pop is actually heavily inspired with western music. and I feel kpop artist should add their own flavor to it, like recent released track by agust d "deachwita" which is hiphop + korean traditional music. I know music universal and belong to everyone and associating it with race or country is wrong my reply was just to make you aware. I do not meant to hurt you. I'm not good at explaining. Peace.

It is interesting how all the "controversy" comes from foreign fans and all the reviews I've seen from Korean people are very different.
As for me, the only thing I found weird with the girl group is that their content isn't directed to Korean public especially but to a foreign market and is another brand in the UK /where a lot of artists came from/ offering their work as kpop in overseas but out of it, if I'm not interested in that I just don't consume it and definitely not throwing hate to them everywhere.
And as for your video, thank you for making a review because I was really curious about what an idol would think about it and now it is clearer to see a new point of view.

I think cultures always draw ideas from other cultures. It's a bit rich for some people to attack that group as disrespecting kpop. Kpop has many influences from other cultures too. I think that group did OK, I feel like people are too critical these days. If you don't like a group don't watch them, no need for too many nasty comments.

finally an opinion on this whole thing that i'm actually interested in hearing 😤 i agree with all your points.
they definitely needed more training. to debut in 6 months and try to fast track it seems kinda disrespectful to idols who train for years, and the handful who train intensely for months to catch up with those idols. their hair and makeup didn't seem polished. the MV focused on one member WAY too much and the others barely got any lines or screen time. the camera work was dizzying; did it jump around so much to hide the okay-ish dancing? not terrible dancing, but the difference in skill and lack of sync were noticeable. i don't like the song, but that's a personal opinion. i think too much of it was in english, and they should've worked on their korean more first.
they don't deserve the hate for sure. i just think if they had trained hard for at least a year, they would have been in a better position to withstand the criticism. there'd be far fewer things to find fault with.

Did u finished watching the video? She herself said that it makes no sense to compare a newborn group to master groups, and that there's also many groups in korea that also debut in a short time but foreigners don't know them because they're so underrated even to korean people.

Joseline Castillo bro kaachi arent even comparable to most rookie groups nor are they even comparable to most kpop covers you see on KRplus. Every one has been saying this. No one expected them to be as good as senior groups tho its just that their performances are not even as good as most Kpop covers you see on YT
