I'm sure Ed Woodward sucked in Transfer (most likely his assistants are doing it), but I'm 100 percent sure that Ed Woodward excels in Sponsorship Deals. I know someone from Man City Marketing manager said to me that Man United had about 3 times the amount of the sponsors compared to City and about the same amount compared to Barcelona and Real Madrid. He also said that it's astonishing how Man United Managed to seal a deal with Adidas (worth Billions) when they don't have players that boost their sales (e.g. Messi, Ronaldo back then).
Edit: We also need to remember that Madrid and Barcelona are successful, but Man United is not. And the fact that Man United is able to stand on the same stage with Madrid and Barcelona is completely related to Woodward's position as the Chief of Manchester United.

Gold 999 how are Utd not successful? Even during their worst period in recent history they are still and will remain probably the biggest club in English football. As a Utd fan, been really impressed with the documentary and the Tottenham guys and girls. Real eye opener and amazing to see the work behind the scenes. I hope Utd sign Sonny tomorrow! Not only a great player but amazing role model and just a great guy to have around. Could say that about a few of the Tottenham boys to be fair. Great show and reflects very well on Spurs.

I can see fans blaming Dan levy for not spending money but in reality when u are competing with other clubs and from a financial standpoint, its not always going to be easy. Spurs generate one of the highest revenue in the PL but top players come with a top price. Its all about wheelin and dealin for potential players for Spurs and i think that is the right sort of bracket for a club like Spurs to tap into.. Spurs have made potential great buys in the past like Luka, Bale, Berbatov for good money. Its all about networking and scouting and if they can do that right, Spurs can go places.
