I met Daveed Diggs in 2015 after seeing Hamilton and he was sooo nice. Its such a long and intense performance and I’m sure he was so exhausted but he still took the time to sign everyone’s playbill and took pictures with everyone who wanted one. It was cold, it was late, and he was tired but he didn’t show it and I will ALWAYS appreciate his kind attitude ❤️❤️

In "Dear Theodosia" I'm ALWAYS thinking about their fates. Philip dies in a duel with a devil, and Theodosia gets lost at sea. Both of their fathers outlived them. That may just be my depression taking over my train of thought, but ever since I saw the death of Philip and read about Theodosia, I've never been able to hear that song the same way.

Of course, I’m not saying white actors don’t deserve their jobs, or that they aren’t as talented, but if you look at the statistics, it’s really heartbreaking how black actors and people of color in general just don’t get as many opportunities as their white peers

I loved getting a substitute in science because we just watched bill bye on our topic/unit and the sub either didn’t care or didn’t know because some of us also had snacks even though our safety contract says no food in science.
As an actual teacher- yup that's all I expect of my subs. If they actually teach, I'm shocked. Oftentimes I hope they don't try to teach because they never do it right! Through no fault of their own, but nobody knows how to teach everything without specific instruction

It is SO obvious these guys are a family. I know it's a stage/screen cliché, but it's so obvious. Watching them just talking with each other makes me smile. Hamilton is an amazing musical, but the OG cast made it the groundbreaking show it was, and really set a bar with their acting, singing and chemistry on stage.
Also, as an actor just starting out, it's REALLY nice to know these guys are just as unprofessional as me in terms of corpsing, the stuff they do offstage etc...

The main theory is she saw the audience and she realised/found out that Hamilton and her story had been told and would go down in history. Or that it’s her like last breath, the transition into death, but no one is really sure because she sees Hamilton before her final gasp which would mean she was already dead.
She talked about it once in an interview.
Lin said that the ending where Eliza gasps was up for interpretation. The most popular theory is that it’s Lin meeting Eliza and he shows her that her legacy has lived on and her, and Alexander’s, story is being told.
When she turns around it’s not Hamilton holding her hand it’s Lin Manuel showing Eliza that her stories got told and she was shocked

I think the gasp at the end could be Eliza breaking the 4th wall. She's seeing everyone in the theatre watching the show, and her question of "have I done enough" to get Alexander's story out is answered.
I think the most powerful thing about Hamilton is the fact that before this show was first preformed, nobody knew how important all the characters where until Lin told the world in such a powerful way. Using awesome songs, and amazing acting.

I like how Lin mentions slavery here. A lot of people say that we shouldn't support Hamilton because he owned slaves or something like that, but it's mentioned and Lin made sure it was known. It fills my heart to know that no one is turning a blind eye to history.
Not trying to prove you wrong or anything, just wanting to share a bit of what I've recently learned which no one will listen to since I have no hamilfan friends... :) A. Hamilton himself didn't actually own any slaves and he supported the abolitionist movement. Still, in the time that he practiced law, there were cases where slaves had to be moved between owners, etc. that he was involved in. Also, his mother did own 2 slaves which he did not inherit due to his being conceived out of wedlock. Hope you found this interesting! I'm a huge nerd lol 😅😂
Cindy F he actually became abolishionist later in life. He traded slaves for other people even though he didn’t technically own any himself
Cindy F he bought and gave slaves to his in-laws and almost inherited slaves when his mother passed, but since he was illegitimate he wasn’t allowed to have them. It was only until later in his life did he start advocating for the freedom of slaves.
A lot of the real people played in the musical here were white slave owners/traders (most, in fact), but they did their best to tone down the racism but still acknowledge it, which I think was really powerful. I'm just glad they didn't ignore it or pretend it didn't happen.
