This loss hurts especially when wolves were dominating the whole game and Bournemouth had that once chance and they took it. And the difference is that we can’t finish are chances and we can’t blame Adama or neves this game they’ve been on fire we just need a scorer!
A disgrace right there. First off Sarabia needs to start warming the bench more often, he cannot be allowed to start anymore, he’s way too afraid of the ball and can’t put it on target. And Cunha CANNOT play striker! We’ve tried before and it’s not gonna happen, he’s bad there, he needs to play as a winger or forward depending on the formation to bring the team that Brazilian touch, clearly! Additionally Raúl is finished, it’s disappointing since he was so incredible but he genuinely can’t play anymore and needs to be let off, he’ll never contribute. And Costa didn’t get much time but he wasn’t impressive himself, in fact it’s been a while since he’s been impactful. Verdict: to win we need GOALS! Rúben and João are great but they’re in the midfield, we need a goal scorer who can make that their attribute and who is consistent at it. And that isn’t Podence either. Wonderful work from Adama and Neves however, those two were on fire, especially Adama who seriously is turning up, and I’ve noticed his passing has improved which is a great sign but doesn’t matter if he isn’t passing to someone who can shoot. Another proposition would be to find a new striker and play a 4-4-2 formation with Adama as one of those strikers (by developing his shooting) and another better signing next to him. Inspiring first half but atrocious after the goal, but we’ve learned a lot.

This opens up space for other players that’s the reason we’re not scoreing enough. It’s not because we need some magic striker to score 20 goals, in reality there’s not many that can do that in this league and if there is big clubs come sniffing fast. We need to score as a team that’s what lopetegui is trying to do not sign some magic striker. We’d need an attacking base for that to work anyway and we just don’t really have that yet.

I’d rather 1 striker with an xG of 40% then 4 with xGs of 10%, because clearly it just isn’t working. I disagree with you, we’re in need of that magic man who can score regularly, because we’ve already got a squad that knows how to create big chances when needed, we just need a key finisher and we’ll be set.
