Americans are capable at laughing at ourselves and the British are also capable of laughing at us.
Ain't it funny
Depends if we're talking about SDH or just humour in general
Just mention the colonies. They wonβt be laughing then
@@jalenr.6542white Americans are literally British but refused to be part of British
"White" "americans"...racist speech and ignorance about other continent America that never was or be Europe...wtf...gth...
I'm so happy to see Emily again! She got so many mean comments last time from people who didn't understand her British sarcastic humor that I worried she was gone for good.
I understand I'm bri'ish ;) (I am though)
After this video I learned one word for working in a restaurant : Stressful π
In restaurants most chefs love to drink a lot, alcohol itβs gatorade for cooks because of the stress. π
I can't get enough of these two girls. They have such a great dynamic together. They are both darling, but the contrast between their personalities is what makes it so watchable.
Mr. Lawson watching this : "They had it coming."
I can't imagine Christina being stressed out! She has that Yoga-teacher kind of vibe!
As an American there was never any piece of furniture to be found when I was in school.
This pair is hilarious because they couldn't be more different lmao (In a good way)
I really like this duo! They are both smart and their personality really complementing each other. Go Christina! Go Emily!
capoo pfp cool
In the uk schools Iβve been in, thereβs pretty much always posters, banners, windows, art, etc. covering the walls-
(But with Emilyβs description of the two types of UK parents, sheβs 90% correct- tho, Iβd like to say that the βyeah, idmβ mums that Iβve seen have never gone as far as to give a child alcohol- Coke/pepsi/etc, sure, but not alcohol.)
I love emily's accent.. Think i'm havin a crush on herπ
These TikTok's always have me rolling ππHope you guys enjoyed reacting to them as much as I did! -ChristinaπΊπΈ
Hi , Christina , loved the video , laughed a lot of course , the "break-up" part was my favorite π
I've watched Carter and I was gutted to see your character kick the bucket
You nailed it, Christina πΊπ²π
UK humour is all about deadpan delivery.
Great example is Adrian Bliss π
I will always vibe with The End of the F***ing World nonchalant humor π
CHRISTINA U R MY FAVE π
π€π€
Yeah, she talks so calmly and has "kindergarten teacher" vibes πβ€
@shyry I was gonna go with yoga teacher vibes but kindergarten teacher is True.
Emily is so beautiful π British girls are the most beautiful, how her face looks when she smiles and her personality... I'd marry her.
go to England and then you'll see how "beautiful" they are
Oh sh*t hahahah as a chef... This makes me laugh... The culture in the kitchen is like. Don't be stupid. You do that and everyone's coming at you π
My sister worked at a country club in Atlanta Georgia, and the head chef would throw hot pans at the cooks or servers just out of pure rageβ¦ she loved him though π! Everything had to be perfect and if it wasnβt, he let them know.
Also, I had a teacher who called me βstupid β in 2nd grade because I struggled with long addition ( chalkboard in front of whole class), it was rough but I went on to prove her wrong by crushing my math classes in Collegeβ¦ sweet revenge.
The guy acting this stuff out is a little extra. Kind of annoying π.
Being married to an Englishman, sometimes the βsarcastic humor β comes if as rude and Iβve warned him that he better be ready to physically defend himself, because Americans typically will not tolerate it, unless we know itβs done without being sincerely condescendingβ¦ otherwise, you might go home with a really bad headache, also itβs not really always even funny. I love himβ¦ but just being very honest.
Wow, thatβs tough!(the part with the teacher) Iβve been struggling with problematic teachers my whole life. But good for you that you took your revenge and proved her wrong. I hope you are doing good right now π
I was a lead chef for years (second or third in the hierarchy) and I can confirm I threw pans at servers β¦β¦but they loved me too lol
This is why I love Ricky Gervais!!
My prom date's mom was from England. When I went to pick her up, her mom was already drinking a lot. When I dropped he off, she was passed out drunk. π She was a great lady.
when they do in an airplane is not that pleasant
@@toffonardi7037 it's pleasant for us when we drink on airplanes that's all that matters
@@cheman579 I ll wait the day some of those shits do it going to saudi or a place like that. I ll have my revengeπ€£
That 'It's not you, it's me' thing, I'd say that's very East Asian, like Chinese, so they get to break up but not facing the scene, which of course never works. For American, I think they are quite straightforward, like yelling at each other, and thorw down the guy's computer, that kinda stuff
Katt Williams and Sebastian Maniscalco are the best ones that Emily has described
Absolutely love you, girls! Emily is such a badass (in a good way), and Christina is just the opposite - so delicate and sophisticated. But you might want to stop saying the word βlikeβ all the time ;)
That's just like your opinion, man.
I actually loved the first Tik Tok by the British guy. It was hilariously spot-on about Mid-western USA schools. Yet, parents still complain about the schools not being even more comfortable for their kids. π
This is really great video like always. Thank you π€π€ππ
Emily is a great element in this profile. I love her! greetings from Mexico
same here!
Emily got such a cool vibe
Interestingly I've never really watched any stand-up British comedians. I have seen British TV and Movie comedies. I'm a huge stand-up fan tho and it's only Americans and the occasional Canadian comedian. I wonder why that is
Standup comedy is arguably an American art form, like musicals.
"It's not you , it's me" for me it's the lamest and the most stupid reason for a break-up , 'cause it's obviously that the problem is you
Agree π
Oh boy π. The Breakup here our country France π«π· and Germany π©πͺ are worse than πΊπ²π¬π§
Not really ._.
"All Cretans are liars" but if the Cretan who said that is truthful, then...
I think it's because some people do internalize it and believe the other person is breaking up with them because of something they did. By saying "It's not you, it's me", I guess it's to make it clear that your reasons for breaking up are personal to you, not because the other person did something wrong. I would say I've never initiated a break up, but I have turned down people, and it was because I was struggling with a disorder at the time. I literally had to basically tell them "it's not you, it's me" because it wasn't that they weren't attractive or a nice person that I wouldn't date under normal circumstances. But at the time, I was dealing with a lot of mental trauma and couldn't manage being at my best in a relationship. I felt too bad at the thought that I would be dumping all of my family and history off on them. Even thinking of building a family at the time was too stressful.
I learned everything about the British educational system from watching Pink Floyd The Wall. πππ
I see Gordon Ramsay on the thumbnail, I click πππ
3:05 That sounded exactly like Steven He!
I'm a 40-year-old American and I only ever had one teacher outright call a pupil "dumb"; she was a 70-something nun! She was arguably the funniest (and best) math teacher I ever had, and she was totally right: that guy was easily the dumbest kid in our class.
Nowadays, parents would swoop down to the school to have that woman fired.
Can you reference/credit the TikTokers in the description so it's easier to find them? Cheers

Sarcastic dark humor often veers off into try-hard edginess. My favorite brand of humor is self-deprecating dark humor or gallows humor as it's called. One thing I hate are those who use "dark humor" as euphemism for punching down.
They're both gorgeous!
Can we for once get an American on heat that isnβt a middle class person lol. I think everyone outside of America thinks we are all like this girl and nothing could be further from the truth. I donβt have anything personal against her but she isnβt representative of the average every day person in this countyβ¦β¦..sheβs a cute middle class white girlβ¦..
Why don't you go volunteer then?
I'm still laughing that you think a middle-class white girl doesn't represent the average American.... π
Itβs not you, itβs me. Actually itβs not me, it IS you π«΅
I love it this
This combo so cute π
I want emily to meet other asian countries apart from US
Surprising that modern British culture isn't quite as conservative as many parts of the US but their teachers are like "I can write off these 7 year olds as failure, they won't change or grow to be useful members of society" like sure a person is fully mature at age 7.....sure the failure of little kids is on them, definitely not on the one teaching and nurturing their minds to think and act well.

Ok Emily again. Love her. Especially when she throws a dark joke or sarcastic comment or cruel personality
Oh the British gurl looks like my former big big crush btw π’π₯΅
I watch that guyβs videos. Most are funny but some seem like he has limited cultural knowledge. Like he did one about driving. He said in the UK a red light means stop. Then he said in America a red light may mean stop or may mean you can turn right. The thing is even if a right on red is allowable at an intersection, you still have to a complete stop before making the turn or else itβs considered running the light and you can get a ticket.
Maybe it depends on where you went to school but the desks are often arranged that way in pre-schools and elementary schools. I never had an individual desk until I reached the secondary level where we changed classes every period. whereas in elementary school we mostly stayed in the same room. I would keep my personal belongings in my desk in elementary school then after that we had lockers.
Heβs still right though.
In the UK red just means you stop and wait until it turns green.
In the US youβre allowed to turn right during red, even if you do have to stop first.
There are just too many typos on this channel xD
They are so sweet
I can't own a knife over 3 inches.... I own a gun.

As I understand it, in UK schools, if you don't eat your meat, you can't have any pudding.

What is Emily's accent ?
Standard posh English (British accent)
The word "like" was used 768 times in this video and the "English" representative contributed ~half. This person doesn't have the qualifications to comment for the nation.
if you want to talk about dark humour, then you should watch volker pispers...

Emily's accent doesn't sound typically British. Where is she from in the UK?

Ohh christina you've worked in the restaurant so sad of you beautiful girl.....I wish I could make you my queen and take care of you,
you're so cute and gorgeous.
Ricky Gervais se caga de risa de sus chistes

Chefs are aggressive across the board. It is a job all about making quality in a timely manner, it doesn't matter where on the globe you are it is a job that will necessitate aggression lmao. American chefs are no more nice than their european counterparts besides on TV, and that is because food TV was designed as day time entertainment in the USA, no one wants to be yelled at at 11 am when they are trying to relax on their day off lmao. Go work in a Kitchen in NYC and see if they're calm and quiet lmao.
Indian schooling is similar to UK but even worse π.
Did the UK girl change her accent ??? Lmao
Sounds like Mr Lawson was a failure as a teacher

Because its easier to neutralize school schooter through them.
the british girl pronouncing "dark", "sarcastic", "teacher" and "earth" π
I like the guys impersonations except the breakup. It was not that good. I liked the video though, as I always do.
The guy in the American schools vs British school video didn't sound British at all. I've heard Americans talk like his American accent but, I've never come across a fellow Brit who sounded like that.
Ok, his second video made me realise his American accent is also not so good but, I'm still staggered by the fact his British accent is so unconvincing!
To an American, his accents were bad all the way around for us. Maybe we sound that way to Brits, but an American could easily tell he's not American.
Hehehe that's Gordon Ramsay in the Thumbnail. Impossible that you've never heard of him.
Even of the most and best Chef
Can't believe I'm saying this as French
We French are the ones that sarcastic sometimes and arrogant
2:50 Same here in France π«π·, Teachers would prefer smart kids over dumb kids who do nothing in classes.
I remember very well that most of my teachers I had throughout my schooling were so harsh and strict. They would yell so loudly and with agressivity if you don't pay attention. Kinda traumatized
Overall that built my self confidence.
I can't imagine what the school system is like in Germany π©πͺ ππ€£
When you speak the British language, you improve yourself and one of the characters in the Harry Potter movie. As for the American language, you improve yourself because you talk to your friends and relatives. Frankly, I like the American accent more, so yes.
I don't get it but english accent is best

You're right. The ratio of words that make a coherent train of thought compared with the amount of "like" is very low.

Threatening to take a British person to a city or housing project does nothing for the culture or to change his mind. He will simply stereotype Americans, particularly Blk people, as being violent.

What the Fvck is a sue I went to Detroit schools and river rouge schools students respect teachers and teachers respect students and if th eteachers had us Fvck Ed up the students would stand up to the teachers physically and the teachers didnβt get paid enough to get in fights
When I was working in the school system, the students and their parents were very disrespectful, and this is in the Chicago suburbs. One student threatened to physically harm me just because I asked them to sit quietly and wait for their bus. I dared my students to hit me, and told them I would sue them or press charges if they did. Their parents would be paying for the damages.
