There are some minorities who speak Turkish, Kurdish, Armenian, Arabic, etc but they speak Persian as their second mother tongue. There's no such thing as an Iranian language, just like there's no language called American or Canadian.

Persian language is not 3500 years old. language evolve from time to time. if you go back 700 years ago, you wouldn't understand what Persians were speaking. because that was middle persian. Persians of those time wouldn't understand a single word of Achaemenid Persian.
modern English only evolved from 1600 afterwards. the English spoken before this time period was very different from modern English. so that's why these two are not considered the same language. same with Persian/farsi.

Persian Literature is so rich that you can go back to 1000 years & read the works of Ferdowsi, Hafez, Rumi or Khayyam in their original state which is the same as Modern Persian. Modern English only emerged after the 17th century. English speakers can't understand works written in 800 AD without translation. Persian is listed as one of the oldest spoken languages known to mankind. Of course you can understand Middle Persian and Old Persian if you know Modern Persian.

The Saudi girl said that their word exam "ekhtibar" "اختبار" is originated from formal Arabic but the word emtihan "امتحان" is actually originated from the formal Arabic also and its root is "محن" it means struggle or test . So both are orginated from formal Arabic.

Turkish is not indigenous to the Middle East but migrated from Siberia down to Central Asia and Turkmen tribes such as Aq Qoyunlu and Qara Qoyunlu ruled the area. That is why you don’t see any mention of Turkish or Turks in any classical writings. Because it was not there. Look up old Azeri language.

دوست من بهتر است بدانید که در بین ده شاعر برتر دنیا ، پنج نفر از آن ها ایرانی هستند ، قطعا اگه شعر ها و معانی لایه لایه و چند سطحی را به زبان فارسی می توانستی درک کنی دلیل این موضوع را می فهمیدید . البته زبان عربی هم کامل ترین و دقیق ترین زبان دنیا از نظر دستور زبان است و بدون واژگان و برخی از دستورات زبان عربی که در زبان فارسی اضافه شده است قطعا این اشعار زیبا آفریده نمی شد . زبان عربی زبان مورد استفاده در قرآن هست و خداوند به دلیل کامل بودن و دقیق بودن معنی جملات و تفسیری که در آیات قرآن لازم بود این زبان به عنوان زبان کتاب مقدس در نظر گرفته شده است . و در پایان اینکه زبان فارسی و عربی و عبری و هندی و انگیلیسی و فرانسوی که در بخش زبان های هند اروپایی به شماره می آیند همگی ریشه واحد دارند و همگی در ابتدا یک زبان بوده اند پس بنابرین دلیلی برای بحث و اختلاف نظر بین برادران هم ریشه وجود ندارد .

Persian and Arabic belong to different language families. Arabic is a Semitic language, Persian is an Indo-European language, making it more similar to languages from countries like Pakistan and India. Maybe you can make another video with similar words between Urdu/Hindi and Persian👀 I think people will then see how many similar words the languages share.

As a Turkish I realized that our many words were common with Persian. When I checked the etymology some words were from Persian some of them were form Turkish and Arabic. Usually, our pronunciations are similar to Persian.
We say Çatı for roof, Sınav for exam, Ada for Island, Mum for candle. But we also use hane, aş and imtihan from Persian.
As somone who can speak Turkish and arabic too,seems like the arabic originated words in your language came from farsi, cause the grammer you guys using when speaking so called osmanli is much more alike farsi grammer even when the words are arabic
Kaşık (spoon) is a turkish word, not derived of persian. Also, we use sınav (exam). İmtihan has a slight different meaning.

Actually Moroccan 🇲🇦 is different because of/thanks to the influence of Berbère's language more than the European languages. The vocabulary and the pronounciation mostly !

@@DreamApostle128 because of Islamic Conquest. Of course the words sound good, they are pure Persian words, but loan words from Arabic prevailed. I speak English, and more than half of English words come from French and Latin, not pure Anglo-Saxon like in the early Old English days. It happens to every language

The new persian language has been reborn exactly in our aria in the past called by name of Greater Khurassan. The father of persian language is also from modern Tajikistan (Rudaki). in Egypt we actually use some Persian words too .. like for pharmacy we say aghza-khana or saydaleya
In moroccan some peopel also call spoons "Ashek" like the persian "Ashok", and for roof its "Saqef" not setah, that's a word for the house top

In iraq we use many words from persian. We say khashoga for spoon and we use the Word sabzi for a specific vegetable. In fact many arabs find the iraqi dialect difficult because our dialect is very influent by persian and turkish. Great video 😊

Persian accent sounds to more like Syrian accent but in Persian instead of Arabic. It's quite fascinating as a native speaker I can understand all of them yet they had to sound totally different to a foreigner. Which what I love about Arabic and Persian the accents are basically different languages but they are written the same and most people can understand it if they hear or read it.

I think this is such an unfair comparison because Iranian people speak Farsi not Arabic so yall shouldn't expect him to understand what they're saying. I was looking for this exact comment in the video, you're the first one I see pointing it out. It's unfair and they should not be like "what???" everytime Farzan speaks. I think to have the video more enjoyable and fun to watch, they should have mentioned that it's entirely different languages. And just because one speaks differently, (this includes the Moroccan speaker, being frowned upon as well) they should focus more on what words they actually have in common in their languages and try to see if they have something similar in their own, they will find that some words are just plain different but they can also reflect and try to see if they understand where the words are coming from.

As a Pakistani Persian/Farsi is my favourite language, it just sounds very poetic and something that would be spoken by Kings and nobles in a high court.
I find it amusing when the Westerners get surprised at knowing that despite having the same script/alphabet, Arabic and Persian are vastly different. It's amusing because almost every European language is written in the Latin alphabet and they're all very different from each other. The script is just a medium in many cases and not the language itself.
This is not true, Farsi/Persian and Arabic are very similar because 80% of the Farsi/Persian language is actually Arabic. I can easily read Farsi/Persian because it’s mostly Arabic
But that's just the informal persian, if you wanted to read old books in persian, for example "shah name" it would be worry different, because farsi is persian mixed with Arabic but parsi is the original language and has a lot of difrences, also because of the difference in accent, for Persians it's really hard to speak Arabic because we don't pronounce letter as hard as Arabic, for example when we say ع we read it like ا, and also I would assume that you are talking about the mixed version that got made after some wars, it's the same reason Moroccan is mixed with a lot of languages, also on a last note, usually both sides can understand to a point, so the more someone tries to understand, the more difficult it gets because the original, untouched language reveals itself.

In Farsi, we have many words for each of the words that were asked, which have nothing in common with the Arabic language. But this man used words that are closer to the Arabic language...for example, for the word (exam) We also say (aazmoon) but this man used (emtehaan)...however, it was very beautiful and I think Persian is very poetic.

In India we say Sabji (Vegetable) pretty similar to Persian. We say Mombatti (lit. Wax Light) (Candle) which is of course not derived from Arabic/Persian. We call it Chammach (Spoon), we also have a word Chamcha which means bootlicker derived from the same word. We also use Kitab (Book) when we use Urdu, but it becomes Pustak in Hindi. Imtehan is the word people will understand here too. But the Hindi word is Pariksha for Exam. We don’t have a Hindi word for Coffee. We call it Coffee. Kahwa is what we use to call special Kashmiri Tea. In India we call it Chatt (Roof). We replace the S sound with Chh sound. In India we say Rasoi (Kitchen). In India we call it Dweep (Island) like in Maldives or Lakshadweep.
It was fun knowing so many words are similar in Hindi and Persian as both come from same Indo-European language tree.
Interestingly, in Malaysia, some region we called spoon as chamcha too but with different spelling (camca), and Pustaka for a bookstore and (Periksa) for exam which slightly diff pronounciation, but I think I can understand it. Maybe due to my country ancient history has a major influenced from hinduism.

Persian language and Dari language both are the same language, only with different dialects. Iranians understand 20% of 80% of our Tajik dialect, I have friends from Iran, we can talk to each other without any difficulties. We Tajiks fully understand 95% of the statements of Iranians.
