      X I made a world on bedrock with Caves and Cliffs + β€˜Experimental Features’ and have one of those extra tall birch forest. They need full of flowers but I haven’t found a beehive save one on a short oak. The mushrooms aren’t real as far as I’ve seen but I have a weird generation where lapis was on the surface of my spawn in a stony shores biome. I started clearing the area for a starter base when I found it behind me. I have a photo but don’t know how to send you the world or do screenshots on Xbox.

      So true. Maybe alligators could drop alligator skin that can be used in potions. I know Mojang will never add sharks but I saw a Reddit post where if sharks were added they would drop shark teeth when killed. You could use these teeth to craft special arrows with the teeth as the arrow head and these arrows can be shot underwater to go long distances unlike regular arrows underwater.

    Considering they're adding mud and mud bricks, as well as a postponed archeological mod with pots/ceramics I think it's proper for them to add a new "potter villager" since the stonemason already seems overloaded with trades. Perhaps they can also add a new job site block like "potter's wheel" that can add shape/color/design variety to mud bricks and pots, a bit like what they did with the shepherd villagers and the loom block.

    This would be a really good time for them to actually start adding to atmospheric lighting by finally introducing different colours of light. Mobs will now spawn in absolute darkness only, so a lot more can already be done with light levels. They're also adding way more life to the game with better terrain and new mobs full of personality. Even their concept art shows how amazing Minecraft would look with different colours of light. With fireflies and sculk blocks coming in 1.19, touching up lighting could enhance their effect so much more (imagine if the blue accents on sculk blocks glowed blue in the dark, or the lights of fireflies casting a warm green tint)

    I really like what they've done with the Warden and the deep dark cities. It's unfortunate they've had to push it back but they're rewriting the base code atm with the biomes update - which I suspect is the real problem rather than the warden development.

    • @Dogman_35
      @Dogman_35 2 λ…„ μ „ +30

      It definitely stings a little when the update was already broken up into pieces though. 1.17 was supposed to be the one for rewriting the base generation code, and 1.18 was supposed to be that one that actually started putting it all into practice with new content.
      It kind of just makes 1.17 feel pointless now, they should've just held off and given a single update with the new terrain generation features.

    • @brandonchan5387
      @brandonchan5387 2 λ…„ μ „ +17

      @@Dogman_35 I think it's a combination of a lot of creative ideas and not enough time/workforce to put it into the works. They already said they were going to do in 1.17, but then due to the amount of work they realised it had to involve + other ideas they were coming up with at the same time (e.g. deep dark biome and archaeology) they split it into 2 parts.
      Then since they had already split that up they decided they might as well spend more time on the stuff they really wanted to expand, hence deep dark being postponed and archaeology being pushed further into the dirt.

In the end I feel like even though I voted for the allay I might have made a mistake. Copper really does have basically no use and about the allay being a cheaper alternative to hoppers, a note block needs redstone dust which is generated pretty low in the world, meaning you are probably gonna get a lot of iron. And I dont think they will give the allay the ability to hold multiple stacks of items, in which case for 5 iron and 8 wood planks you get 5 times the holding capacity. The only real use I see for the allay is making relatively complex and expensive item sorters easier to make. But I guess we still dont know what the allay does or if it has any specific mechanics we dont know about. I guess we just gotta wait for the updates

      I imagine they were experts in golemancy. It has always seemed strange to me that the villagers, who’s most advanced technology is a bell, can create iron golems. But, if this is all that remains of some ancient civilization’s knowledge of golem creation, that would explain the disparity.
      My theory is that this underground civilization created the skulk, likely as a renewable alternative to redstone, and this also helped them advance their knowledge of golem creation far beyond the primitive iron golems we see on the surface. But, after the civilization fell, the skulk was allowed to grow out of control and blossom in ways unintended. Most of it died without regular care, but the most robust strains survived and over the years have grown wild across the ruins.
      One of the other lucky survivors were the wardens, ancient golems built around wireless skulk technology. Their control systems long ago withered and crumbled, but the overgrown skulk still retains enough of its original design to influence them. This may be limited to saying β€œdestroy” and telling it which sensor to walk towards, but it works.

    Would be nice if you could put frogs in buckets like the axolotl.
    It would make it easier if you’re planning to do zoo or other builds with a plethora of animal variants.

    Thank you Mojang, for continuing to make soundtracks that make me clench my buttcheeks.
    I personally am hoping for some colored wood logs/blocks and more new overworld biomes in the future. A Cherry blossom grove, a maple or autumn forest with different leaf & log colors, maybe a mysterious willow tree biome that's also swampy and has a new liquid block, which could also include larger tree generation. More flower blocks, and maybe some new crops/new food items.
    I'm also hoping for an extended magic system and more magical elements somewhere in the future.
    Overall I'm so excited for the new updates, and I just want this game to continue to keep me always doing something and exploring. I also cant wait for the archaeology system, lol I'm force my friends to view my collection.

    Honestly, one thing I'd love to see eventually is previous mobs that were suggested for the game being put up for a second vote once in awhile. Even if it was in an elimination tournament style of voting just to see what the top one or two of old suggestions would make a comeback.
    Not that I'm disappointed by the outcome of this vote. Heck, to me, it was too good to pass up. But sometimes, old ideas are too good to disappear.

      Mob votes should be more like, "mob to prioritize" instead of "everyone else is eliminated"... And it is like that to a extent... Old mobs that got eliminated will eventually find a place to come back

      @@MiMuMo Welp, at least we know that biome votes are "biome to prioritize first" than to "eliminate the losers".
