- Recently we had to do a groceries and supply run for people in our community who are vulnerable and a friend who lives in Central London. So we took the opportunity to film our journey to see the impact of the lockdown on Central London’s streets.
If it's not obvious already, this is serious. The UK government has asked for all retired doctors and nurses to return to work, and 20,000 have returned. They've even asked for the help of 250,000 volunteers from the public to help with the crisis, and more than 700,000 people have volunteered. It's a serious crisis, but it's great to see people coming together to face it. Let's do our part. Stay home. Save lives.
최근에 저희가 주변 지인, 가족들 중에 취약한 분들, 그리고 런던 도심에 살고있는 저희 친구를 위해서 대표로 장을 보고, 필요한 물품을 전달하러 외출을 했었는데요. 가는 길에 런던 중심가에 이번 봉쇄 사태가 어떤 영향을 미쳤는지 둘러볼 수 있었어요.
이미 다들 아시겠지만, 상황이 완전 심각해요. 영국 정부는 퇴직한 의사, 간호사분들께 다시 의료 현장으로 돌아와주길 부탁하고 있고, 20,000명에 달하는 의료진이 다시 기꺼이 현장에 뛰어드셨어요. 또 이번 사태 진정을 위해 250,000명의 자원봉사자들을 모집했는데, 700,000명이 지원했답니다. 정말 심각한 위기상황에 사람들이 모두 함께 힘을 모아 돕는 모습을 보니 마음이 따뜻해지는 것 같아요. 우리도 각자의 자리에서 우리의 역할을 합시다. 외출을 최소화하고 집에 머물러주세요. 우리 모두를 위해서, 생명을 지킵시다.

마스크를 쓰고 안쓰고 차이가 큽니다..
외국도 마스크를 문화적차이라고 생각하지 말고
자신과 타인을 보호한다고 생각했으면 좋겠어요.. 전세계가 코로나에서 빨리 벗어나
다시 활기찬 생활 할 수있기를 간절하게 빌어요..
없어서 못쓰는 상황이 되지않을까 싶습니다. 대부분 사람들의 인식도 그렇고 무지하기도 하고 또 나라에서도 권장하지 않으니까?! ( 미국은 의료진 마스크도 부족해 권장 않는다고 하다가 이제서야 마스크 착용 얘기가 나온다고 하네요~ 영국이라고 별반 다를게 없어보여요)
외국은 인식도 둘째치고 지금 마스크 수량이 별로 없어요ㅠㅠㅠㅠ 원래 마스크를 잘 안 쓰는 문화라서 많지도 않은데 남아있는 거 중국인들이 싹쓸이 해서 마스크 사기도 힘들고 마스크 가격이 엄청 비싸요
인식도 문제지만 중국인 싹쓸이를 떠나서 마스크 제조 기반이 없는걸로 알고있어요. 그나마 수출중이던 3m 방진 마스크도 미국 트럼프가 수출 금지령 때렸고, 이걸 우방국인 캐나다를 포함시키는 바람에 원재로는 캐나다에서 가져가 쓰는데 어떻게 그럴 수 있는지 논쟁 중이구요. 한국은 이제 넉넉히 물량 풀려서 줄 없이도 편하게 살 수 있을 정도인데 타국도 빨리 마스크를 필요할 때 쓸 수 있었으면 합니다. 특히 의료인들용 마스크도 부족할 정도라던데, 한국 여유분량이 있다면 수출해도 좋을 것 같아요.
jj j 만들어 쓰는 방법 같은 것들 요즘 알려주고 있다고 하네요. 하다못해 스카프라도 착용하고 재채기 할 때 가리고 하라고... 이 사태가 수그러지더라도 재채기 매너는 계속될 것 같아요. 더불어 미리미리 대비하는 한국사람들 종특 상 마스크는 집에 필수상비품이 될 듯 하구요.
쓰고싶어도 구하기도 어려워요 원래 안쓰는문화라..

저들이 이토록 사태가 심각해진건 초기부터 마스크 잘 쓰고 손 씻고 했어야하는데 그러지 못해서인듯합니다 애시당초 한국에서의 확진도 대부분 교회나 신천지 중심이니까.... 혹은 해외에서 유입된 국민들이죠
사회적 거리두기라는게 2미터정도 떨어지라는 의미이지 밖에 나가지말라는게 아니거든요
@@wwgd1017 일단 나가지않는게 확산 방지에 유일한 방법이라 필요한경우 나가게되면 2미터사회적 거리두기 하란거지 불필요한외출은 금지가 맞아요

유령도시같다.. 도시에 생명을 불어넣는 건 역시 사람들인가봐요.. 런던 아름답다고 생각했는데 사람들이 없으니깐 아름답다는 생각이 들지 않고 오히려 무섭네요..
유일하게 있는건 가끔나오는 시민과 경찰 + 왕실경비대뿐이죠...

The towns of India including Kerala is like a ghost town. The streets are empty. We can only go out to buy groceries. And the cops are monitoring everything. It's really really weird. I hope everything will pass quickly and everybody stay home and be safe. I will pray for you all from India

I’m super frustrated because it still feels like everyone’s still out where I am because no ones taking it seriously. The US was not prepared for this and too many people are stubborn.

registration for babies also cancelled - my sister who's due in 2 weeks got told today she wont be able to register her child, get a birth certificate or anything until after the pandemic is over
Let's just be grateful that corona isn't as deadly as it could have been. Imagine Ebola with the spread rate of the coronavirus. This really goes to show that we aren't ready at all if such a disease does break out and people would go absolutely mental, not only that but the economy would completely breakdown.

It can be hard, these days, to get a perspective of things. I’ve been essentially in my room for the past 14 days now. I haven’t been outside, my sister mostly does the essential travels as I have asthma and was advised to just stay inside entirely.
Within the four walls of my bedroom, it can be so easy to forget the world outside. It can be so easy to forget that right now there are people sacrificing their health to help, there are people actually dying from this illness. And it’s not just my city that’s affected, but the whole world is battling this pandemic.
I feel useless. I feel so fucking privilege. I still have work, I still have food on my table, water to drink, bed to sleep. And all I can really do is, donate, spread legitimate information and not contribute to the panic and confusion during these hard times.
I hope everyone is safe as they can be. We will get thru this. Lots of love from the Philippines.
Especially with having asthma, I (even though I'm a random dude on the internet lol) would advise to you at least get some fresh air and stay by the wide open window for one or two hours every day. The "outside" is so underrated in terms of health benefits.
For office worker who've paid monthly salary, they can follow the self isolation a little bit better. But for some people on the lower tier job paid hourly or daily for a small amount of money, just to survive another day, when they're forced to self isolated, mean no food in table min 2 weeks, and until the lift the lockdown.
I was lucky, that before my govt declare for self isolation/social distancing, my property were finally got rented, so suddenly I got a lot of extra money in this hard time.
Take care and stay healthy, wherever you are. We will get through this together.

Actually glad people taking it seriously here. You can feel fine. You can feel okay to go out. But NO. You can be asymptomatic, putting other people at risk without knowing! You could feel perfect, but make others feel worse. #StayAtHome !!

I'm a Londoner myself and to see my home so usually full of life like this is indescribable. I don't even know what to feel. However, due to the circumstances, I'm so glad that the majority of people are listening to the government and staying at home. Stay safe, everyone!
I'm from the United States, and I visited London last year and enjoyed it sooo much. The city was so vibrant and energetic with so many different types of people roaming around. It's really sad to see London as well as every other normally energetic city become so lifeless and eerie.. Even here, Times Square is absolutely empty. Hope you're staying safe!!

Eat your fruits and veggies I literally just returned from a year abroad in New York around 2 weeks ago! Had to leave because of the virus but I loved every second in the city :) Seeing New York like a ghost town on twitter is so strange because usually no matter what time you went it was always buzzing. It’s very scary time at the moment, I live in Nottingham UK, a very busy City! Seeing it like a ghost town is very weird, I’m also in the risk group as I’ve got asthma so got to be extra careful, but We will see a light at the end of the tunnel! Just stay at home,follow the guidelines and stay safe everyone!

This is such a sad situation, i live in Italy, is so strange to see my little city being so lifeless. My family had to close the shop and we are now in lockdown. I hope everyone will stay at home and this problem will be solved soon..
