Today we take my mum to a special birthday treat: strawberry buffet at a 5 star hotel!! It was a literal strawberry-feast, where they had more than 30 different strawberry desserts including strawberry flambe, strawberry fountain, strawberry tiramisu and strawberry pizza! I mean, I’m not very proud of English cuisine in general, but when it comes to strawberries and cake, we know what we’re doing. So, how would Korean STRAWBERRY BUFFET compare?? Watch till the end to find out! ;)
오늘은 엄마를 모시고 특별한 생일 식사를 위해 5성급 호텔에 있는 딸기뷔페에 갑니다! 사실 영국도 딸기가 맛있기로 유명한데(그리고 케이크도!), 한국 딸기뷔페는 정말… 사랑입니다!! 딸기 분수부터 딸기 플랑베, 딸기 피자, 딸기 티라미수까지… 진짜 짱이었어요! 게다가 마무리로 엄마를 위한 깜짝 생일파티까지!! 이번 영상도 재밌게 봐주셨음 좋겠어요!

@@TheMunchkinita2509 I'd agree with you if the world was not as it is right now. They had no way of knowing if the people with camera's were famous or just another tiktok/twitter/facebook/youtube nobody. So I'd say it's more likely they are just that good with their service and the camera's made no difference. Stuff like that is basically required for top restaurants if they want to get Michelin stars and the like.

@@Ishlacorrin I mean, considering that the video is 3 yrs old, the state of the world "right now" shouldn't matter. Also, little known fact, most (not saying all) of the time when people record inside restaurants they get permission beforehand. There's a VERY good chance that they knew exactly who was there. Now, I'm not saying that they don't give out free stuff to other customers when it's their bday, what I'm saying is that they saw an opportunity and used it to its full potential.. and there's nothing wrong with that. But, people seem to forget that a business' main objective is to make money. If you're getting something for free, there's a reason. They're not only doing it to be nice.

영국은 청교도와 금욕주의의 영향을 많이 받았다고 합니다. 풍족하고 사치스러운 생활중에 요리가 들어가고 과거에 그에 관련된 법까지 제정되었다고 하네요. 음식을 맛있게 요리하는 것을 부끄럽게 생각했다는 문화의 잔재가 요리 문화에 퇴보에 일조하지 않았나 싶습니다.

정말 보통 와인정도는 서비스로주는데 케이크까지 마련해주는게 저 호텔은 정말 앞으로도 초심 안잃고 저런 서비스까지 장착해서 운영한다면 외국인들도 많이오고 잘될거같아요. 특히나 한국에서 올림픽같은게 개최된다면 이젠 저기는 매진되겠죠? 대구FC vs 광저우 아챔때 대구 그랜드호텔 등등 큰호텔에 짜장이들 많이 와서 동성로, 서문시장같은곳에 돌아다니더라고요.조쉬 항상 응원하고 저 호텔도 흥하기를!

In the beginning, when Josh and Ollie were shocked about the strawberry buffets, I was literally confused because where I live, in Tokyo, it’s totally a normal thing. But yes, I do get really excited if there is a strawberry buffet. Despite being lactose intolerant, I will eat anything and everything in that type of buffet.
I’ll just face the conseuquences of eating cream and milk and alike later 😆

It's usually what happens in higher end restaurants and places. If they overhear you want something (e.g. oreos) they will likely bring it to you to make your service better. I'm serious, a dude joked about wanting oreos for dessert than the menu and they brought him a packet of Oreos and a glass of milk.
It's just good service.
