- Today we try all the delivery chicken available and decide which chicken is the best Korean chicken! We started out by thinking we’d try about 5 franchise chicken places but ended up trying 10+ chickens in the end. Which one was our favourite? I guess you’ll have to watch the video to find out!

i really like the fact that andrea's comments about food stand out the most among all the other guests on both korean englishman and jolly. obviously he's a professional chef, but you can easily tell from the way he expresses his admiration, appreciation, excitement, and even dislikes every time he eats something that he always makes a thorough assessment before saying anything. he did not just give out both praises and criticism mindlessly.
If you get an assessment from him, you're getting his total palate opinion. Really pro taster!

치킨생각날때마다 후참 주문해서 먹고있습니다 .. 가끔은 알싸한...노랑색이 땡기긴하지만..후라이드좋아하면 역시 후참이 진리죠

후라이드는 후참잘임 근데 점포마다 다른듯 ㅋㅋ 잘튀기는 곳은 맛있음 방문포장하면 엄청 저렴

진짜 솔직한 평점 흥미롭게 봤어요. 확실히 한국 치킨은 치열한 경쟁만큼 선택권이 많아 즐거워요. 각 지역 별로 동네 치킨집들도 하나둘씩 훌륭한데 많아요. 브랜드 치킨 중에서는 BBQ 과한 튀김옷이랑 지코바 자잘한 양념과 고기가 별루라고 생각했는데 동감. 교촌 처음 나올 때 진짜 맛났었거든요. 요즘은 정말 처음같지 않아요. 맛도 양도 가격도 ...옛날 교촌치킨이 그리움. 진짜 어매이징했었는데...깔끔한 전기구이통닭도 숯불통닭도 먹어보면 은근 매력있어요. 다이어트로 끊었던 치킨욕망이 오늘 불타오르네요~
교촌은 예전보단 확실히.. 너무 자잘한데다 잔뼈 조각도 자주 씹혀서 식감부분에서 불편함이 좀 그렇고.. 이러다 잇몸 찔려 피나는거 아닌가 걱정들게 만드는.. 울 동네 교촌만 그러는지.. 는 모르겠지만..
노랑통닭은 항상 만족스러웠으니 명불허전이고.. 몰랐던 후라이드 참 잘하는집은 한번 맛을 보고싶기는 하네요..
지코바는 예전에.맛있었는데.요즘은.. 어떻게 조리를 하는지 닭살이 너무 뻣뻣하고 드라이한 느낌 ㅜ.ㅜ 근처에 시킬 수 있는곳 다 시켜 봤는데 거의.비슷.... 예전에 주문 들어 오면 바고 숯불에 구워서 양념에 볶아서 냈는데... 그래서 시키면 항상 오래 걸리던집...
I love Luke. You should have a series "feeding Luke" take him around to several small places wherever you are, and just hand him things he doesn't recognize. Seriously, the look on his face of joy, appreciation, sometimes confusion, and pure discovery is priceless. He's not jaded, and so far doesn't really seem opinionated. He just really likes things that taste good. Also, if he gets something he loves, the popping hearts are a must

Bbq 황금올리브가 클래식이고 닭실한거나 육즙이, 지점마다 다르겠지만 가장 맛있음 가장 대기업인데 뭔. 그담이 bhc 해바라기 프라이드

생각보다 점바점 차이도 심하고 배달 상태같은 변수가 있어서 비교가 쉽진않지
그거 가만해도 확실히 동양과 서양의 향신료나 입맛차이를 느낄 수 있어서 재밌었음 ㅋㅋ
아무래도 교촌 반반같은게 워낙 향이 유니크하고 지코바도 정말 한국적인 맛이기도하니
익숙한 후라이드가 비교대상이 머리에 그려지다보니 평가하기에 더 편한듯
프라닭이 좀 아쉽기는하네요 ㅋㅋ 다른건 정말 대표메뉴를 잘시켰는데 ㅋ양념치킨은 페리카나가 존맛인데 ㅠ
서양인들이 오히려 피자는 이래야해, 치킨은 이래야해 이런 더 편협한마인드가 심한듯 퓨젼같은거 용납못하고 우리나라가 더 오픈마인드인듯

I really liked how Mr.Z actually give a low mark when he doesn't think the food is good, it made the video more honest and credible
i honestly think he was being too strict with the judging, especially how he gave bad scores just because some things were "too sweet"
@@gwen6937 Something being too sweet can definitely ruin food, it's not being too strict. A nice meal is all about finding the balance.
@@franciscasilva8406 the right balance is different for everyone... just like how some people are sweet tooths and some are not. his opnion on something being "too sweet" could be just right for another chef.
@@gwen6937 Yes, and? He was giving his opinion on what he thought, and I trust the opinion of a renowned chef, especially when you see in previous videos that he had no problem with sweetness when it was well applied.
I really liked that he was honest and strict with the food and it showed just how amazing the food in other videos was.
Josh is always playing it up for the video and it gets pretty stale after a while, Mr. Z has a more 'no bullshit' approach which I like a lot.

한국인인 저도 이렇게 많은 치킨브랜드 중에 생각나는 브랜드가 더 있다는게 신기했습니다. 그래서 우리나라 치킨 브랜드가 정말 많다는 것을 실감했고, 40대 후반인 제가 아직 안 먹어본 브랜드도 있다는 사실에 놀란프로였습니다.^^

Mr.Z is not a professional chef for nothing, he has the most credential of any guest to critique food that have appear on this show so far
I think it shows his evaluations are genuine, including in the other videos. When he says something is good, he's not just being polite.

I started watching this channel months ago when I knew I was heading to South Korea. I just came back from my trip yesterday and I feel so grateful to you guys, because without videos like this one I would have never being able to taste so many amazing dishes. For example, before coming I was aware about Bulgogi, Mandu, Kimchi and so on but I did not know what Gimbap was, until I saw your video. I wasn't able to differentiate between types of BBQ such as Samgyeopsal. I even went to the handmade crafted noodle soup from the other video. It has been a pleasure and I am sure I will continue to watch your awesome videos. I will even try to prepare some of these delicacies at home. You are my best discovery this year so far. Now I have to come back to eat from all this chicken chains. Thanks, from my heart.

This series was great! I would have loved to see him go from the street food/ market, to the most expensive. But regardless this is as an awesome series
I love Mr.Z's honesty! He is very honest and truthful about his opinions on food. I think Josh appreciates food too much and has a hard time finding something wrong, Ollie appreciates food but when he doesn't like something he says so, on the other hand Mr. Z who is a chef knows about tastes and combinations so he tries to add honesty and truth about the dishes he try. I love how everyone has different criteria
I hope Mr. Z can appear in more future videos!

I think the reason i love this series w Mr. Z Is how honest and true he is about the food, having a professional chef makes a differnece w reviewing food.
Same for me, it's nice to see someone who would say some food is actually bad or just not that good. Josh is way too positive about everything, and his only comments are how "fresh" the food is or how marbled the meat is!

Same here. Josh’s reaction is always *groaning* then a comment about how juicy/fresh/marbled is, then saying it’s the best thing he’s ever had. So I’m glad the crew started making fun of him for it 😂

Josh saying whatever food he’s eating during videos is the best he’s ever had just makes the compliment or his opinion on food meaningless if he just repeats himself over and over like a broken record.
The videos are still fun to watch though and other guests’ reactions especially Mr. Z’s, who has an extensive and professional knowledge on food is so refreshing compared to hearing Josh’s everything is good comment over and over.
Great way to learn about korean fried chicken. Let's bring it up a notch. Here is an idea : Josh can collaborate with other Korean chefs who are experts in cooking, eating, or reviewing Korean food. They can invite Canadian teachers like me to join them in their videos and share their opinions and experiences. The series of videos can be titled something like “Canadian Teacher Joins Korean Food Challenge” or “Canadian Teacher Meets Korean Food Masters”.

When I lived in Korea (Aug 2009 - Oct 2017), we ate a lot of fried chicken. My favorite was BHC.

I love Mr. Z's honesty. When guests on the channel praise Korean food all the time (as well as the host), you don't take it seriously (I stopped after a number of these videos). Josh wants to please Koreans and asks the guests to play along but Mr. Z just can't help himself sometimes:). Thank you for being honest about the food you don't like:):).
Last meal for Mr Z in Korea? Oh no I am gonna miss him ! He is fun! He knows his food from a chef point of view and can give proper criticism to them. And that’s why he is tough with his ratings! Been trying to plan my first proper vacation in decades and haven't been able to decide where to go, but I think y'all may have sold me on Korea with this series. I got to live on that side of the world, in Singapore, 30 years ago and have been dying to go back ever since. And Korea was on the bucket list already for the guitar culture, but y'all bumped it to a priority with all the gorgeous food that gets showcased on this channel. This series was the final straw. Well.. lol. Maybe I got the wrong impression, then? Between watching Sungha Jung grow up on KRplus the last 15+ years, seeing videos of people gathered in subway stations with acoustic guitars, and all the guitars that are being made over there these days, I just figured it might be a fun place for a guitarist to visit. Would definitely be worth the trip just for the food, so I'm not mad if I'm mistaken.
With all due respect to Mr. Z - here in the US you can get so many different types of fried chicken these days. From Nashville Hot, to sauced like Korean Fried Chicken (in all sorts of weird ass flavors too lol) to just totally different types of breading for regular fried chicken. Not to mention, southern fried chicken. Texas BBQ chicken, there are so many here in the US. I feel like Josh and Ollie and the crew should take Mr. Z to a couple of places around the US for not just chicken, but food in general :D Though I'm sure since he's a chef and world traveled, he's seen his fair share of awesome food here in the US already.

Kyochon Honey Combo is my favorite fried chicken. It was my go-to for years! I used to like Mexicana but they got rid of my favorite Cheetos Chicken ㅋㅋㅋ 한국의 후라이드 치킨은 최고!

Mr Z is such a natural fit to the channel. His insight to food is on a different level but it’s not just that, he has amazing chemistry with Josh and Ollie that feels so natural.
"0.2"...brutally honest, Mr. Z!!! But you're so fortunate to get to enjoy such a variety of Korean food with Josh and Ollie and with their team.
I loved each of the vlogs on this tour. It was great to hear Mr. Z's expert assessments at each stop. Maybe the next time should be across the US with some of your more recent stops through Jolly's adventures.

I've really come to respect Mr Z's expertise on food, way back when he first appeared on the channel, I thought he had some level of elitism; But now I know that he truly appreciates food on an extremely high level and is very objective and eloquent about it.

Main thing to remember is that it all comes down to personal taste. Mr. Z seems to not like overly sweet foods. But someone else may love the sweetness. So don't take Mr. Z's opinion as if it was fact. Best thing is to try them yourself and see what you like.
The way that Mr. Z hugs Josh and Ollie at the end is heartwarming. You can tell they have a wonderful friendship and that this trip just created an even tighter bond between them.❤
I haven't been to most of these chicken places (because I live in the U.S.) but BB.Q recently arrived in St. Paul, Minnesota and I AM IN LOVE!! I have to go the long way home from work so I don't drive by the location every day. 🤣🤣 They also have the best Ddeok-Bokki I've had. Again, I live in the U. S., but I've been to quite a few Korean restaurants in several states and I'm so happy BB.Q is in my neighborhood!
Josh if you ever go to Indonesia please try out the KFC. It is so much different from the KFC on UK. Indonesia also have pressure cooked chicken, I think you and Ollie gonna love it so much.

Its really refreshing to hear someone strictly judging the infamous korean fried chicken with no bias (mr.z is ruthless lmao) or no overreacting, just plaintly blunt.

@@IshlacorrinI agree but Korea doesn't have good cheese, the only good ones are either italian or french but they're hella expensive, so does why the use cheese powder in everything.
@@botoncitosdegomita That is not fully true, there is plenty of non-italian and non-french cheese out there that is very good. I don;t know if Korea has any, since I doubt they have much of a dairy industry, but plenty of other countries have good cheese.

I feel like with some youtube videos the people hype up the food way too much and then you actually go and try it and you just feel kinda dissapointed, not cus the food isn't good but more like it wasn't as AMAZING as the people in the videos have you believe. Mr Z seems like a food critic at heart which can clearly be seen with his SPREADSHEET of all the restaurants he's tried so I think it makes sense.

후라이드 참 잘하는 집-브랜드 협찬을 위한 영상 같네요. 처음엔 2~3등 시키다가 마지막에 1등 올려주는; 사실 후라이드 참 잘하는 집 별로에요. 3조각 먹으면 니글거림; 그리고 토막을 갈빗대부터 가슴살~골반위 부분까지 1조각으로 튀겨서 튀김옷 사이사이 기름이 더 많아졌는지 더 니글니글 거리는데; 저게 왜 1등인지 납득 안가네요;

I'm not a fan of the burinkle powders either but Korean fried chicken is easily my favourite kind of fried chicken.
You should have gotten one of the B.B.Q. chicken's sauced like the honey garlic or secret spicy, along with their original olive oil. They stay crunchy even with the sauce.
배달치킨 말고 한국에서 유명한 맛있는 치킨 집들을 찾아가 봤어도 좋았을 듯... 재미있게 잘 봤습니다!
