British YouTubers try our Korean Street Toast!!

The fact that the high school boys, went home, and made their own Korean inspired food and shared it with their family (and or friends) is a testament to what Korean Englishman is all about. Using food as a gateway for people to learn and expand their curiosity about the Korean culture. This team is such a success and so fun to watch!!

I’m sure Harvey and Ray’s kitchens are full of ssamjang containers. They’re responsible for 75% of the saamjang sales across the UK. I’m sure if given the opportunity they’d come up with something like ssamjang flavoured walkers crisps one day. Their ideal meal deal would be a kimchi toastie, saamjang crisps (to be stuffed inside the toastie) and a milkis. If you didn’t tell them, they’d probably even dip their melona into ssamjang. I’m here for it. I support it. In fact, I encourage it 😌😂

What l loved about Jolly team is they ACTUALLY listened people’s suggestions and l liked the part where they made a special menu for highschoolers . Because these days generally adults don’t listen to young people eventhough they are the ones who will change the future so l think the ideas of kids , teenagers and young people are super important , thank you for giving important to people JOLLY 💛🧡

As a Korean, I'm so grateful and humbled by how much they love the Korean culture and food and try to share it with their own people. I love Emmas attitude about trying the food. She didnt like anything on the first sandwich but still gave it a try, and was saying how maybe she'll like this kimchee even though she hasnt liked it in the past. Idk I just like the optimistic view she has.

조쉬~ 중간에 오래 전 영상을 보니까 정말 초창기 아무것도 없던 시절에 학교 다니면서 꾸준히 영상으로 한국 문화를 체험하고 알리던 그 시절에서 벌써 십수년이 지났네요
그때 부터 지금까지 영국남자가 걸어온 흔적에는 한국인과 영국인이 서로에 대해서 잘 몰랐지만 음식과 문화로 꾸준히 다리 역할을 해준 조쉬와 올리 그리고 가비 그 멤버들의 수고로움과

Ray’s obsession with ssamjang makes me want to rush to a nearby Korean food shop and buy a pint of it. I never did like ssamjang, but Ray and Harvey make me want to give it another try.
When Keaton added that whole lot of spicy sauce on his toast, I was like, “oh, no!” But it went well. I guess?
PS: I was a bit _nervous_ about that two guys’ comments because they’re kind of like “food experts”. I’m not even part of this whole Korean Toast crew, but yeah, I’m glad it went well.

The fact that Tom Scott tried to analyze everything about the toast is so Tom Scott. Everyone was giving comments on it and he's the only one asking a question and calling the bread "interesting". I'm imagining him doing a food travel thing, eating food and then analyzing why by going deep into the whole history of how the spices entered the country, the geographical differences on how it was grown.

해외에 나와서 이민 생활을 하고 있는 저로서는 영국남자 채널에 더 공감할 수 밖에 없는 이유가 실제로 일상생활에서 매일매일 한국마켓이나 한국식당에서 보게되는 외국인들의 리액션을 볼 수 있기 때문인데요. 한국 음식과 문화를 저렇게 자세하게 파고 들며 설명해주고 또 거기에 기획력까지 더 해 한국음식과 문화를 재미와 함께 자연스럽게 접할 수 있는 기회를 제공한다는건 해외에 나가있는 우리나라 외교공관들도 못하는 일을 하고 있는 것입니다.
생각해보세요 한국 대사관에서 저런걸 기획한다면 국민세금이 얼마나 들어 갈지를요. 어떤 외교공관에서 데이비드 베컴을 초대해서 한국바베큐 먹방을 할 수 있습니까?
한국분들 중에는 영국남자 채널이 돈을 버는데 한국 음식, 문화를 이용한다고 하는데 그 반대급부인 한국문화에 대한 홍보효과는 그들의 수익에 비하면 어마어마합니다. 당연히 더 벌어 갔으면 좋겠습니다. 쓰레기같은 정치인들이 부정하게 벌어가는 것보다는 백배 낫지요.
지난번 방역관련 일로 다소 혼란스러운 상황이 있었지만 그들이 의도적으로 누구에게 피해를 주거나 바이러스를 전파한 것도 아니고 절차상 실수가 있었던 것이었고 거기에 대한 사과는 충분히 했다고 생각합니다.
어쩌면 영국남자채널은 우리 BTS가 그러하듯이 지금 현재 대한민국 정부, 외교관들이 파고 들 수 없는 세계곳곳을 직접 뛰어 다니며 한국 문화를 전파하고 있는 최전선 외교관이라고 생각하네요.
사람은 누구나 실수를 통해 성장합니다. 바른 가르침과 충고는 좋지만 지나친 비난은 삼가했으면 좋겠습니다.
