The reason he seems more happy and comfortable these days is because back then they were still unsure about their future and he was still overcoming his depression (I think). He had too much to worry about.

Bing an introvert in a boy group especially one as energetic as BTS, you would need a lot of patience, A LOT of patience! I mean a lot this is coming from this is coming from an introvert who sometimes find BTS who sometimes find BTS a bit much. I love them to pieces, but they can be a bit much.

Yep. When I was a baby army that is all I saw. But now that I've seen more of him he is much more than that. He knows how to love. He doesn't like going fishing but does it just because Jin loves too. That melted my heart. He became my bias wrecker real fast.
Yoongi doesn’t talk much during interviews, but when he does, I noticed that he has very thoughtful and sincere answers. His brain is unique and I think he brings a unique perspective.
Also he can be just as silly and goofy as the other guys. He’s just a bit more introverted!

I believe he is the the quietest one in the group I recently chanced my page to him on IG I like him the most ,my eyes kept going to suga when I gave they songs a chance I'm like who is that he so cute so I Chance my page him.
I agree. Some people say he´s lazy or not interested in interviews, but just because he doesn´t always say much doesn´t mean he doesn´t follow the interview in his head, sometimes you just don´t have anything special to say. Also I feel like he just doesn´t want to push himself in the foreground but let the other members have their time. When he says something, it´s either funny (when the question was stupid) or thought through (when it was a good question). And of course he´s less active and tired when they are shooting entertainment stuff, he´s working so hard on BTSs music, and at the end of the day they are musicians, not reality TV stars, so of course he´s taking priorities. Also he might seem intimidating sometimes to people who don´t really know BTS, but he´s so sweet and caring. I prefer him just being him during interviews or whatever, even if he´s not in the best mood, better than if he was just pretending to have the time of his life. Some stars do that and it´s so annoying (this fake " omG I´m SO eXcIteD to BE hErE!")
They have shown him working overnight, so, yes, he is probably just tired. Every member is hardworking and contributes uniquely and valuably. I really appreciate how much they appreciate and support each other. Love BTS! 💕

He's a deep thinker. He's really smart and you can actually see him thinking. He can be pretty skeptical...I think maybe suspicious at people's hidden agendas behind other's intentions. His trust has to be earned. He's not strange...he's smart af, and knows his worth.

And tbh I can understand why he seems skeptical, I mean there are way too many people with wrong intensions, some even being manipulative. I most people have had bad experiences with those, and I hope I can learn to think like that as well because no matter how often people turn out to be shit, I trust them way too often and way too soon. And I can´t even talk to people that I know about it (exept my family or smth, but we don´t talk about stuff like that) because those wrong people would make use of that too.
I´m glad he is like that often, it just feels weird seeing people fall for acted and manipulating behaviour... Yes, some are real but it´s better to be careful the beginning.

Introverts-especially in the entertainment industry- are often mislabeled as cold (or shy). Yes, he’s uncomfortable with the public displays physical affection, but he’s not a cold person. You can tell by watching how the others treat him. Even though he shrugs off and tries to escape their hugs, and he’s awkward with compliments and verbal expressions of love, etc- if you look at the faces and body language of the other guys as they interact with him, you get a better sense of what he’s really like. They’re not at all hesitant to hug him, lean on him, tease him, etc. I’m an extrovert married to an introvert (he and Suga have similar personalities), and I watch people get him wrong all the time.

Yoongi is very interesting indeed, he’s a quiet more to himself type, but also shows his goofy side a lot especially recently, one thing that impresses me the most is his love for his craft and art, it really inspires me, he also doesn’t do that toxic positivity bs, he’s honest but also someone that could really encourage you and make you feel comfortable with yourself with no judgment whatsoever, anyway so what I’m trying to say is I love this man to bits.

That's a fact. That's why I love him the most. He is my bias. He is not only cute when he is told that he is loved, I love just the way he is. He is the type of person that what you see is what you get kind. He does have some insensitivity but he is also caring at the same time. Yes, everyone has a dif love language than most people. I really appreciate his. There is nothing shallow regarding the way he loves. But to the naked eye, it might seem cold. When is the other way around.

We can see that all of them changed over time thanks to their friendship but I think Yoongi's transformation is the most obvious. Their love helps him to fight his mental issues but also taught him to trust people who love him, to open up and show his funny side too. In recent videos you can actually see he's happy. It's so satisfying, if I ever had a chance to tell him one thing I'd say he's my inspiration and proof that even we introverted thinking types can achieve this kind of success, being loved by so many people 💜

In my opinion I think the reason that Yoongi doesn’t know how to receive physical affection was because of his dad. He said that his dad cared for him and his older brother silently with verbal affection rather then physical with hugs and stuff. I’m basically saying your parents are a big influence on how you grow up and their personality’s will most likely rub off on you. Yoongi reaalllyy cares for the members and it’s obvious so if anybody else calls that warm affectionate little fluff ball a cold hearted man again I will be there to educate.

This is pretty close. When parents don’t openly express affection or reaffirm their children’s worth, it causes the child to become closed off and unable to receive or express affection in an healthy manner. And in Yoongi’s case, it was also a situation of growing up too fast, too soon.
His parents didn’t support his dream, so he had to strike out on his own. He mentions that his parents beat him for 6 months in an effort to dissuade him from pursuing music as a career. This is an example of a dysfunctional family structure, in which the child’s best interests and development are superseded by the best interests of the family as a unit. This does not mean that his parents do not love him or even that that they didn’t at the time. Rather simply, it means that they did not express their love in a healthy way, and Yoongi picked up on that.
His inner child never grew up, in a way. The maturity we see from him is a little bit of a survival instinct, which is why it’s so nice to see when he lets out his soft side when he feels it’s safe enough to do so so.

Its still mind-blowing to me that this man went on tours and produced with a severe shoulder injury for seven fucking years! Like all brilliant people he is complicated.

I definitely agree to this. Stanning the group for long, you'll know that his "devil-may-care" attitude is just a Yoongi thing, and it's normal. His opinion about haters comments makes me think about two reasons: (1) he says he don't care because he REALLY don't care about it, and (2) he says he don't care, but deep inside he's the one who's the most affected. And he only says he don't care to REMIND himself NOT to care about it. (also to reassure us ARMYs not to worry)

During meditation he said he can't be still because he has ADHD. He copes very well with his anxiety and I purple him for never giving up.

He has a quiet and soft personality yet it's very thoughtful. When he speaks it's usually well thought out and insightful, especially in interviews. And he expresses his love through food, he is constantly cooking for the other guys and that takes his time and effort to provide for them which some people really over look. He quickly became one of my favorites.
I love the fact that Suga being so intelligent will have a long a productive career after BTS as a singer and producer. Despite the fame and fortune, he has managed to keep his head clear, having fun in the process, but without losing his true essence and unique personality.

In an interview, Suga admitted to be an INTP, a personality type based on the Myers-Briggs Typology Indicator. The letters are mean Introvert, Intuitive, Thinker and Perceiver. He does not believe in the MBTI results. But his behavior, his thought patterns, his relationships and his reaction to the external environment manifests his personality. What I find amazing is that he belongs and works well in his pop group, loves and is loved by them.
I think he said he does not believe in MBTI because Jin also got INTP but they both are completely different personality. But I think Jin looks more like ISFJ.

I was going to write about this too, however yoongi seems more like the intj/infj personality, he has life goals that carry messages to others with music, he is not sentimental but he is sensitive and helps others, and he easily gets burned out in social situations.

He has pretty much the same personality as me and its great to see and feel that similarity. When I have those random burst of energy its just that I feel comfortable with the people I'm with and the environment or just on my overall mood that day. He is one of my bias's ( My others being JHope and Namjoon) because me and him share many MANY characteristics and it does suck when ppl call me rude or cold or just uncaring just because I don't do well showing affections without feeling "ashamed" or embarrassed. No one prolly read this but I think it great how most of Army's understand Suga/Yoongis personality and don't shame him to it.

of course yoongi seemed to be a lot more energetic and loud during their debut days but no matter how much time passes and how ‘serious’ or ‘cold’ he appears to be, he still has such a boyish child-like charm that is so enamouring to see every so often :’)
Yoongi is actually the coolest member of the group. He's not cold, he just knows when to act a certain way for every situation, and also he is just being his genuine self which I love. He does deeply care for all members of the group but he shows it in different ways. We're all different and express ourselves differently and that should be expected. Different personality, different way of being raised, all these things makes you who you are. He's a great guy.
So we can say he has a strong personality. He decided lot of things himself at a big part of his life. He thought much and created different styles of thinking to understand older peoples than him in this industry. All he needs is love now. He had All he wanted but cant buy love with money. Honestly I agree with you big time, it was his personality that Drew me in when I first became an army, I could tell that they were more sides to him than the Savage side most fans keep on advertising, up untill this day I still find his personality very unique and honestly I just love him for all of his unique diversities

I love all 7 members. Each one of them bring to the table their uniqueness and Suga is NOT the exception. I admire him not only for his looks that are adorable, but because he is an autodidact and very knowledgeable person. It must be very interesting to have a conversation with such a genius, for me he is. He admits having ADHD and I understand how he feels because I suffer from the same diagnosis. He doesn't have to prove nor explain anything to anyone as an obligation, just as desired. Min Yoongi is a great music producer, rapper, singer, entertainer and beautiful inside out. Coming from a yoongi biased, he might seem cold but he's the literal sweetest. He might be too savage and jokes around the members but he knows his limit and is actually so caring. I feel bad for yoongi because alot of people misunderstood his attitude.
It's absolutely terrifying and devastating at the same time of how you manage to point out the right characteristics of the members and put me on the verge of tears lol. Yoongi is just such a complicated person with such complex and intricate details and minor personalities that weave into being him ONE whole amazing person with a pure soul imo. He's just so differently beautifull, and I mean it in a good different. As you rightly said he does kinda die when he receives attention, cuz he just doesn't know how to be able to receive it and portray it in the usual ways others do. HIS way of love and affection just shows the range of characteristics which can be displayed by a person in terms of even displaying love. The way he just sits and lets the bois do whatever they want around him, to turning into an absolute softie around them, having patience which has prolly sky rocketed through the ends of the universe when it comes to them, not thinking twice to give it all to them, his ways of love are just so _pure_ ? I've never looked at him as a meanie at any point. He just sort of has his own charisma that is amazingly attractive. The way he truly is strong in his opinions, tough as a person, one who stands strongly for what he believes in but at the same time is a soft smol boi at heart, a chaotic person and a goofball is one heck of a pretty trait and just shows how one character cannot define someone as a person. He is unbelievably amazing as a soul.
That "sometimes it is just so satisfying to just see him live idky" hit me TOOOO hard omg. I felt I was the only one who felt that but he's just so calm and serene in everything he does, he definitely catches the eye and sort of brings some sort of soothing to the mind (I hope I'm not sounding weird lol).

I love all the members. Yoongi seems very self aware and a caring person. He is smart and quite talented. I think he’s open and patient once he gets to know someone. This is the vibe I have gotten from him. He can be quite funny too.

I try very hard not to have favorites, but I would be lying to myself. Yoongi was the first one to catch my eye when I first saw them. So I hold him quietly as my favorite person. Intelligent, soft, and savage when he needs to be.
Suga is that kind of parent who loves the kid to an unimaginable extent but gets shy while showing their emotions. Honestly, my first impression of him was a softie and a cutie. Personally, I think it's just the way he is.
I have a character similar to Yoongi. I'm not comfortable with speaking out loud about my love and care for my friends and family, I don't find too much physical contact comfortable and my friends often find me scary although I don't know what I've done to be deemed as scary.
I believe in showing my love through actions.
But that doesn't mean I don't like receiving love or hugs from my friends. I often reject them so they don't try to hug me anymore but that's because I've been like this my whole life and it's hard to just change myself like that. I feel shy too. It's still uncomfortable to talk about how much I care but I do other things that makes up for what I don't say out loud.
It's kinda to protect myself as well. I'm someone who gets hurt easily but I don't want to show my vulnerable side to anyone so I put up a "strong" font in front of others.
Also, introverts would under this, it's tiring to always be happy and excited about things. We need some quiet and peaceful alone time to gain our energy back.
Suga had social anxiety as a teen and he chose a career path that places him in the spotlight 24/7. I think he was still fighting with his anxiety (he might still be battling against it as he himself said that these things never disappear permanently) in the early years of Bangtan along with the worries of their uncertain future.
It's just the way Yoongi is, nothing too complicated.
Edit: to all those who can relate to this, y'all might be misunderstood by others but know that you're worthy of receiving all the love in this world and you'll definitely meet people who'd understand and accept you for the way you are💜

I relate so much! I need affection yet am so scared/nervous wreck when I receive it... I'm often times though of as cold...I don't want to...but I'm so scared of expressing my true feelings...I'm too scared/anxious to be myself or express my feelings that I just hide everything inside.... I cry about it a lot at night...
I can relate so much to u n yoongi...I also don't like to show much love and physical contact...there r times when even my mom has called me cold hearted person and my whole family thinks I am cold and scary....all of my friends think that except for my best friend. I like being alone with my thoughts but they just don't understand. And it hurts me I always cry my self to sleep every night. I feel like the black sheep of my family. I just wish I could express the things inside my heart with worry about what other think. I really wish to be able to do that one day and be able to tell my family my true fillings. And I hope they will understand me better.

yoongi is a kind of person who listens to himself, he did not let someone to control him, but he is also kind of person who is very humble, maybe sometimes we can see him being mean to other members but actually it's his own way to make them laugh, and also his way to learn something. yoongi is not mean, he want us to face the reality, like struggles and etc.. it is given to faced but not to be subsided. his unique personality caught me^^..thank you for this!
Yoongi is my home. He makes me feel safe, able to verbalize my frustration with the world and still comfort me thru it, thru his music. How gentle, goofy and loving he is, how intelligent.. introspective.. his passion for music and how he continuously goes for what he wants.. his interest in mental health which is something we have in common.. I see so much of myself in him.. except patience..

One of my favorite "Yoongi's love language" moments is for sure his VLives, because even tho he's an introvert, he has been sharing so many things of his life and his thought when he goes live, always in his soft and comforting way of speaking. My favorite "recent" one for sure is the one he made after his shoulder surgery, he was in his home resting and didn't need to show up but he did anyway to reassure us that everything was fine 🥺🥺
Yoongi the type of person you'll go to when you're upset or sad and lets you listen to his new music while doing no PDA and making you comfortable being around him. Such a sweetheart, this man.
Yoongi is an Extroverted Introvert. An extrovert with the people he loves, and an introvert around those he isn't much comfortable with.
In fact, the reason why he is my bias is because his personality resembles mine so very much. I feel comfortable, knowing that my different personality type exists in a person I love and respect in many ways.
His sad, tough past also resonates with mine, although we were in very different circumstances.
He wants to show his true side to his loved ones, but often his insecurities stop him from showing his true self.
This is a hard shell that those people develop who were never socially accepted when the were their young and true self.
They had to hide under a mask, and had to learn to wait for the right people to open up and show their heart of gold to.
Sometimes, you can't hold back the emotions and your true personality, so that's why he just gets crazy and happy All of a sudden.
If people like him and me are able to overcome their insecurities and traumas, we can shine better than everyone around us. It's beautiful when he is comfortable in his own skin. Happy with himself, Happy with others. That shows that he is at peace internally, and externally.
He is so very patient, very kind and caring, despite what is on his face. He will give up everything and everything, if the time of disaster strikes. His sleep, his money, his time.
He may seem Cold, cut off and reserved, but that's only cause he was taught to never be his true self. People don't accept him for his true self. He has to have a shell.
This is another reason why people like him prefer privacy over Boastfulness.
He is also VERY passionate about his art, and is dedicated to put his utmost effort into every project.
He is very similar to me. I feel like I'm looking in a mirror, and I can see how others view me. 💕🌺
People often find me very intriguing as well. They don't seem to understand me well. Same for him.
Everyone just avoids approaching me at all, even if the people who have approached me have been treated very respectfully and kindly. They go tell others, "she isn't as bad as she looks" and they are shocked 😂😂

Suga is my bias and i ADORE him. Yes he comes off as passive aggressive but that's his love language. He truly cares for each and every one of his members. Even though he doesn't act like it, he really does. I've seen compilations of Suga wanting to hold the other members hands. And he never gets to which is so heartbreaking. Suga is a true gem and we need to treat him like such💜
Now that Suga has had his shoulder surgery, I expect he will express himself in a more relaxed manner.

Yoongi was never appreciated by his parents and they never supported him. He was all by himself when he ran away from his house. He also had to undergo a major accident. He had to do hard jobs to earn a living and pursue his career. When people say he's a grandpa, that's not because he's lazy or old fashioned, but because he has so much experience at such a young age which makes him just as mature as an experienced old man
Having all these things affect him at such a young age would actually make him look cold. He's just very mature about things and his boldness is what makes him look cold.
He is very good at heart and he loves his family and friends. He may not show it sometimes but he cares about everyone alot.
Edit: I'm not trying to degrade his parents. They were not able to support him in his choices because they never expected that it would actually help them. I think it’s super unfair how people judge Yoongi so quickly. When I first got into BTS, there wasn’t a single moment I thought Yoongi was cold. I thought he was just very quiet. My own brother is very similar to Yoongi in a lot of ways. I’m more expressive outwardly and affectionate even if me, myself is introverted. He’s more…stoic in expression an to himself. But, he shows me very kind gestures such as buying my flowers, letting me give him hugs and giving me hugs before an after work. We talk often an get along well. However, our mother is a heavy drinker and can be verbally or physically abusive, depending on her state. Because of those reasons, my brother has learned to hide his emotions behind a straight face. The last time I seen him cry was when my mom took a beating way too far an he cried for the rest of that night. I was 6 and he was 7 then. Now he’s 19 and I’m 17 soon to be 18 in a month. There are multiple factors why people can be the way they are. Which is why it fucking pisses me off because, if you decently know about Yoongi, you know the shit he’s been through and the stuff he’s had to deal with. I’m not saying he’s happy but people need to seriously stop and THINK about someone else’s life. It isn’t all that you cook up in your OWN heads. Mainly the people who are like this, in some way or another get hurt easily/have been hurt an this is their defense mechanism. Yoongi hits me as the type that cares A LOT more then he shows. ALOT more. An I notice the little things about him, which is why I love him so much and he’s my favorite member. The little things people do reveals SO much about them BUT most people only look at the fact that-just because he isn’t always expressive and JUMPS to the first opportunity to be super hyper or affectionate OUTWARDLY means “he’s cold and indifferent”. That’s SO unfair. I’m very observant of anyone I come across and that’s why I don’t like a lot of people. Because the things they say and do is despicable. To each other and to other people.
