Been doing this forever ❤️ I figured if glitter can go in synergy then so can slick pour because it absorbs so beautifully in conversion base. I love it soooo much 😊 and don't need to get so many gel polish colours cause I can use my acrylic powders 😎

Could i use this to change the Tone of a nude builder gel? Make it warmer or cooler for example. Or maybe add White to make it lighter!

Could I do this with a gel base or top coat? I want to do some nail art but I would like to match the gel I'd be Using for nail art to the color of dip powder I'm wearing. So I don't need to build a nail with it just would love to do a little nail art with custom colors. Great video y'all!

No additional solution, just don't remove the tacky layer from the base gel
I may be wrong...BC I'm newer to nails, but the rubber base is awesome for a tacky layer. I've learned through process that it seems to have almost twice sticky layer as typical base. 😊
Wow, that was sooo Beautiful!! Can you use clear acrylic as a thin base instead of gel? And then use gel on top of the acrylic?
I have another question, as I have problem with coloured acrylic since the darker ones tends to marble a bit when I try to do a full nail. Can I use slick pour with a regular acrylic application technique? Or does it only work as a dip powder? If not, what is the difference between dip powder, slick pour and coloured acrylic?

Yes you can use an acrylic base, yes slickpour can be used as traditional acrylic with monomer. Dip systems are just ultra finely ground acrylic powder.

What are those spade like spatulas called or where can I find one please? I have the polygel ones that are double sided but they're in-line with the handle. Looking for one with that spade shaped head and the dip or bend where it meets the handle. Thank you for your videos! They're always so informative! ❤
You can grab them at an art store! It’s similar to a palette knife. If you go to Michael’s/joanns/Hobby Lobby, head to the oil painting section and you’ll find a bunch of options for the spatula and for palettes :)

Can you use your ManiQ gel as your base before you use your maniQ gel color OR should we just use the ManiQ base coat? Or does it not matter? Would we still get the same results? &&& can you Mix the ManiQ with the glitters and slick pour powders?
Yes to all of the above. lol ManiQ gel makes a great base and mixes well because it is so thin.
Can I store gel/dip powder mix in a double walled jar for later use?
How long will the ‘shelf life’ be if I can?
Yes as long as it is UV protected, should last as long as any other gel

Yes & yes. Flex is the thinnest of the gels so it doesn't thicken up as much when mixing glitters or powders into it

I have seen it done, but also seen it cause wrinkling and curing troubles, would mostly depend on ratio

Just make sure you use a opaque jar and not a clear one for gel.
My issue is with all the colors what should I buy first I'm on a budget what is like the top 10 I should invest in first ??
All the blitz glitters as well as flash and burn, american rose, the clear as well as the nudes. I love jade stone too. The pinks are popular and the reds like rev your engine and the blue sports fanatic.
Preference, I like to think of my clientele. Is my clientele more partial to nudes and soft tones or wild neons? Also consider the season, as we come into summer might lean towards brighter fun shades.

Unfortunately, we can't speak on other products as we don't test them. Mixing our slickpour into the gel doesn't make it a hard gel. It's already a hard gel product prior to that.

I'm an acrylic tech and NEVER used gel b4.. so I have no experience or even room to talk lol but to me from only using acrylic this process looks super chunky and hard to work with.. I dont think I could ever do this lol props to gel techs.. no I'm not a negative Nancy or a troll lol just my opinion as being an acrylic tech.. I'm sure I'm wrong tho.. its probably super easy lol just sharing my opinion.. thanks for sharing guys 😊😊

We would not consider this to be a polygel product. In this video, we are still using a hard gel which would not allow the product to be soaked off

Spatula instead of palette knife made it much clearer.
So Doug Schoons most recent face2face talks about how this is actually dangerous for customers. That adding pigments to gel can cause shadow curing (some parts arent as cured as others) and even if your not worried about the loss in strength, when you file it off it throws uncured product into the air and increased risk to develop allergies.
i'll probably still do it for myself, but good to know that there is a negative side effect to this technique if working with clients.
I think this is for those who don't rest their gels and acrylic powders in the research and development process. Just like those who don't test lamps with their gels. Young nails are manufacturers so they need to test these mixtures out before recommending them due to insurance purposes
Also how does the rose gold and holo silver glitter colour precision gel have glitter etc? Other polygel brands are acrylic mixed with hard gel and some manufacturers come out with glow in the dark, black white acrygel / polygel. So how does that not cause the shadow curing. It's when it's items from different brands not tested together that cause issues just like mixing brand x monomer with brand x polymer.
@@belamourbeauty idk if you remember when people tried to make diy poly gel and used this exact method to do so. it makes it so it cant cure correctly. the acrylic in the gel isnt designed to work like this, its designed to work with a monomer. mixing in glitter or any pigment to gel will always bring up the question of if the glitter or pigment will not allow the UV to pass through. i have some white poly gels that when used correctly will cure, but if i use too much or there is a thicker part it will not cure. im not sure if light strength would affect this but then you risk heat spikes...i rather not waste such expensive products and take the time to emboss the nails in that glitter with out the acrylic added, as many companies have the glitter stand alone.

Thank you for the feedback. It's a speed technique that we use that the nails don't need to look perfect the whole way through. You don't want to get any product on the skin, but trying to make it look perfect all the way through makes your services take longer.
