This wasn't even a rewind though. It had everything we wanted I guess but it's just a compilation of existing videos. It's like they couldn't figure out an interesting way to create a real rewind so just saved themselves the time and money and slapped this together.

What the hell is this??? Instead of doing an actual production to win the hearts of KRplus’s distressed fans, they make a top 10 list...
KRplus isn't an account with fans though... it's the infrastructure where creators come and build communities, but KRplus isn't the community itself. It's simply way too big of a place to pick favorites and say "this is KRplus" - they did that in the past and everyone hated it (understandably - it was cheesy, and alienated a lot people). At least by going off the numbers, it's an honest and accurate representation of what YT is and it puts the focus on the creators than on KRplus's opinion.

it's mostly because we like seeing moments of the year be recreated with our favorite content creators, good ones, not ones that will get advertisers going "So this is what youtube is". We want a representation of the true KRplus community, not a video directed to advertisers to convince them to advertise on KRplus, this year it was all just a WatchMojo video with no commentary.
@@tsukibus so you want what they did last year? Because for better or worse, that's what they did. Got a whole bunch of creators to work on a video that covered the memes and events of the year. And it was hated. They'll never be able to cover the roughly 100 new memes we get per day, and part of what people hated about last year was all the "old" memes. It's just not physically possible.

Also, remember how Minecraft controlled KRplus from late June-September, they only mentioned it once and only did by showing us stats. Disappointing and generic, to say the least.

I hate to break it to you pal, but thats what "rewind" is supposed to be. A rewind of the years highlights, subscribers and most popular videos, which is EXACTLY what they did here. there are a lot more trending categories on KRplus that didn't get in the rewind, but they can't possibly fit everything into a small 5 minute video to please everyone.
The fact people asking where KRplus Rewind 2022 is despite us not getting one in 2020 OR 2021 is kinda shocking. Like we got cringe in 2018 and just a video compilation in 2019, now y'all are complaining it isn't back?
