Piglins be taking revenge on what we've previously done to them. This is probably the main reason why almost every ally you have in this game now wants to kill you in modern Minecraft.

MattPatt was sooooo wrong about this game. I think it actually for the first time in the history of Minecraft told us the Lore that makes our vanilla worlds make perfect sense, especially with the Pillagers! I almost feel sorry for them. They are literally veterans of war who don't know how to do anything else so they plunder and raid and wait for the next great war.
Honestly I could see them raiding as trying to provoke the village to take action,and start another war so they have an excuse to kill

It is because they don't like how the villagers didn't want to fight. They were weak and helpless. The illagers were more willing to change for that reason. That is why in minecraft we see them inspired by the builders to build what they built. Meanwhile the villagers didn't really care
@theriddled214 Yeah, my guess is overtime tensions grew, and the Villagers kicked them out, they built thier own homes like the mansions, recruiting others that became crossbow wielders, researched magic etc. And eventually became too corrupt that they went on raids.
And with that I realized that Foresight has the same voice as narrator in minecraft dungeons!

The original story for this game is that it was a fairytale.. I guess it's not anymore and it's just an alternate universe

Think as if they heard tales or rumors of the normal minecraft player defeating the ender dragon ( who's egg can be found in the player's base when the hosts go there) and decided to adapt that player into the modern rendition of the ancient legend we are playing in

I feel like action knowledge and foresight are probably myths along with the player being pulled from the future, it was probably just someone who was around at the time that got changed over the years as being a legendary warruor from a far off land.

Cool know that most of the structures around the vanilla world are probably built by foresight, action and knowledge and that the pillagers are a result of some villagers deciding to fight and got mad at the ones who didnt want to.

Bringing some nostalgia here.
I like how people are talking about the origin of the illagers which is important yes. But I see no one talking about the literal creation of the moon and day and night cycles from the orb of dominance.
The orb didn't created the cycle at all, it's already in the world, the corrupted night beacon was blocking the cycle, making it to be permanently night time.

I like to think that after the war the piglins were cursed to turn into zombies so that they never would try to invade again.
Well in the game there are stuctures that spread the nether so the piglins can breath, this could mean that the piglins ran out of resources after the war and couldn’t get anymore structures to breath in the over world so they zombify once stepping outside the nether.

Only thing i dont like in this game is that Piglins abuse eachother, where in Minecraft they have the greatest brotherhood. You touch one Piglin and they all attack, they even keep that trait when zombified. Also Piglins never attack eachother, unlike zombies, skeletons amd other mobs.

I mean, we do need some more Piglin variants, Piglin alchemist for example, or piglin mage. But first nether fortress needs a rework and more lore to the wither skeletons, then add more lore to the Piglins.

@@hogradNow this depends a lot of when exactly does minecraft take place in the timeline. We know for sure that the arch-illager from dungeons was the last user of the orb of dominance before it was broken and the dlc's took place, so that places dungeons before legends, together with the entire illagers were evil thing, as legends seems to explain the origin of the illagers. The ruined portals in the base game and the illagers exist, so that either places minecraft after or before dungeons, meaning that legends has to be the first in our timeline. What I speculate is that the piglin mage will become a boss as we raid the nether in an upcoming dlc for legends. Maybe the god like characters would then hide the orb, in the overworld when the mage is defeated.
This could also explain how the orb got into the overworld, for the arch-ilager to stumble upon in dungeons.
@@ichimiustin8390 I believe the timeline is Legends, Minecraft, and Dungeons. Since Legends plays an origin story role for several things and there's a statue of someone killing the Ender Dragon in Dungeons.

it would be SO cool if there was a minecraft game or mod where you could play as the end, overworld, and nether factions in an RTS base building style, like command and conquer, and the goal is to kill of the other teams leader for multiplayer games or take over all dimensions in the campaign
The Minecraft Legends game is definitely hinting Minecraft’s mythos has endless versions of the world with infinite worlds, especially since The Hosts in the beginning come to the world of regular Minecraft and say to the player, “OUR world is in danger, so we have come to your world for help.” Also explains why the art style is different and why the hostile mobs are friendly. It however does have similar outcomes to the hinted Minecraft lore like the formation of the Illagers and the ruined portals, but overall it’s still its own universe. I don’t know why people are saying in the comments this game is 100% canon and all the Minecraft games are all canon to each other. Yes, the Piglins have a Orb similar to the Orb of Dominance but a Easter egg doesn’t mean a thing. The game is more likely canon to Dungeons but to regular Minecraft is debatable. So Mojang saying Minecraft is only 1 timeline is BS because they didn’t say that. Also, they also unintentionally ripped off MC:SM’s hallway of portals of endless portals from Mojang. 🤣💯 But yeah, Minecraft is a multiverse and infinite sandbox anthology franchise. Not everything is 100% canon because again Mojang never said that. Plus, this game says and shows there are other worlds and is not supposed to be time loop time travel crap. The regular Minecraft game cameoing in the beginning is to establish Legends’ world probably just a variant world. Also, think of starting up a new world in the original Minecraft game as a canon confirmation that each player’s worlds are part of an endless Minecraft multiverse. Which MC:SM also hinted at. So since Minecraft Story Mode is not canon to Minecraft, they both probably aren’t canon to Minecraft Dungeons and Legends which themselves are probably the more likely to be part of the same universe to each other but is open ended to interpretation. Mojang wants us the players to have our own interpretations of the lore of Minecraft.
So, illagers and villagers were once friends, but seems that the war split them, with the illagers wanting to fight, while the villagers wishing to stay peaceful, which made the illagers see villagers as cowards.
Also all the skeletons and zombies are villagers,
And with knowledge's inventions being shown to the villagers, who most likely used that to create the Iron golem
That leaves one question, where did snow golems come from?
WAIT, so do beacons in modern Minecraft get their power from the sun but not as much as the corrupted one? That would explain the pillar of light. 🤔

The Illager cutscene is so sad because it's their origin stories for vanilla Minecraft. They're former people fueled by war, at first wanting to fight back for the good of their homeworld, but in the end have an endless lust for battle and hatred caused by the war. Even the music tries to show some light-heartedness, but there's a discordance in the music because if you've played Minecraft, you know who they turn into in the end.
ok before anyone starts any possible beef, I've read that Minecraft Legends hasn't been confirmed to be canon with Vanilla Minecraft. But I do believe that it is canon even if it hasn't been confirmed yet especially with Matpat's recent timeline theory.

the narrator of minecraft dungeons is foresight there voices sound identical
i beleive she is heping the player because the main threat in minecraft dungeons are the illager and i tink she feels guilty since she had not only allowed the creation on the illager but she supported the idea of the illagers so shes helping the player stop them and knowledge and action are not wih her because she felt hat this was a mess she had to clean up this is further backed since after obsidian pinnacle and the arch illager is defeated we can not hear her for the continuing levels
