When Namjoon said βthank you, you are always greatβ to Zack, I believe that he said it because they are also aware of the difference between Zack and other βinterviewersβ. He does his job to the full with great questions, politeness and sincere. Of course they see what army sees as well.

Zach Sang has always been like this. Watch his Mamamoo interview and Eric Nam interview and Jackson Wang interviews and Day6 and omg there's so many and he's been respectful and interested, not like most Western interviewers.

@@nilen People are writing thesis on BTS. Murray Stein a leading Jungian Analyst even wrote a book on Map of the Soul 7. Btw he was the writer of the book which BTS based their Map of the soul series Album on.(Jung and his Map of the Soul, 1998)
i just wanna say shoutout to the translator because he did such a good job even when they were saying like long speeches and i think he really got their points across well

At first I was disappointed that there werenβt English subs and then the translator started and I was so impressed by his translation. I actually like this too because then I can focus on the members speaking instead of reading subs.

One of the few good interviewers. No fake laughs from RM, no uncomfortable and disengaged members. And it was nice to see RM get somewhat of a break and not answer every single question
I havenβt seen too many interviews with BTS, but I totally agree. When I watch some of those compiled videos, there can sometimes be clips of interviews, and... Iβm sorry but Ellen the hook-up question was just... *why*

i love when zach interviews the boys. unlike most interviewers zach doesnβt get bored when the boys speak in korean, he listens and waits for the translation but heβs still so engaged and iβm sure it means so much to them and everyone who doesnβt speak english fluently. great job π
it's crazy that we all noticed that, it really means that we actually saw a change in this interview - it's so sad that this simple behaviour is so striking to us, comparing to literally ALL interviews I might have seen, this one is the only one who passed the vibe check to me

I just want someone to tell Joon that their whole music in Korean is what made us all fall in love with them. He should never doubt of that, we love them because of their incredible lyrics and melodies!! I donβt even care about the Grammy nomination cause honestly I loved their music before and Iβll love it after so I donβt need any recognition. Dynamite is a great song, it deserves the Grammy and Iβm sure it has attracted many new people who will get to know their art better. Weβll always support you guys!! Remember that you used to fill stadiums with people singing in Korean everywhere in the world π

It is missing certain gummy smile, certain dumpling cheeks, certain smol and squishy hands, certain cute laugh, certain boy that who love to eat tangerines and the person name is MIN YOONGI ( I know how bad he wants to join the BE promotion interview) But at least we know he is recovering really well and today is one of the best days because all BE song(excluded Skit but if they released an uncensored version, ARMY probably can chart it) got into Hot 100 Billboard. Ohh my ARMY EGO boost up to space! A SELF PRODUCED SONG WITH KOREAN LYRICS! NO COLLABS! NO REMIXES! NO BUNDLES! NO PLAYLISTING! NO RADIO PLAYS! Whenever someone thinks bts fans wouldn't be happy with songs in korean... remember on their tour the international army sang the whole songs in korean BEFORE bts even came on the stage!! So no, we love their music. No pressure on making everything in english, none at all. We love their music!

Zach is seriously the best interviewer. You can tell that he actually did his research. He listened to their music, looked into the translations and stories behind their songs and genuinely seems to be a fan of them. I loved watching this interview, the questions were so thoughtful, it wasn't all "who do you want to collaborate with next?" or "what's your go to coffee order?" . Other American interviewers need to take note, this is how you do an interview!

I think Zach is a very good interviewer...he researches about the artists music and his questions are much better than some other interviewers who just keep on asking about who they want to collab with or more unimportant or unnecessary questions..

I really like how there is a translator and live translation. I think it allows BTS to understand the questions and for the interviewer to understand their responses, without Namjoon having to work his ass off as much. The members can talk freely and convey nuance through their words in Korean, leading to a much more valuable interview.
They should always be treated like this, amazing questions about topics that the boys care about and great feedback. Also finally an American interview where they can speak in korean and express themselves freely. I hope that they can come back when yoongi recovers, he would have loved this interview. You really are an amazing interviewer zach, thank you so much.

I completely agree, this is the first time I've seen an American interviewer provide translations in real time, and I think it is so wonderful and respectful, giving all of the members a chance to really express themselves. Great job Zach!

I'm kind of the opposite, it's like my mind makes it seem like they're actually speaking in my language when the translations are there. I say how both the closed captions and the voice of the translator that way we can pick and decide to skip certain parts if you want to

Yeah. Heβs really good . Happy that he did the translator
When RM in the end, said that they work separately because they're shy, it made made me laugh cause it was too cute. However, when he added that they don't listen to each other's samples/drafts cause it allows them to be more efficient and work like a company, I was really impressed. Cause indeed, transparency is important, but this method that they do helps their creative minds work best. It also allows them to feel the surprise and the thrill when they hear which sample was accepted or not, thus makes them even motivated to work harder and think of new experiments to add to their music composition and songwriting. And it makes the final product even more special because it'll show how much each of the members has improved and of course, the hard work and time each and everyone has invested during their individual hours that created the final product which is now, BE, the album.

I think it's a v beautiful BTS dynamic that the boys live everyday . I think that is what makes them such a family. the utmost respect and love for each other. they are all vv personal and individual on their own and when they come together they always have something new to learn, laugh, love and grow about/from. They listen to each other and allow each other the spaces they want, how they want, in order to be their best self and love themselves naturally. my boys, i love you π
zach is such a good interviewer. he makes them feel comfortable like he's their friends and actually asks them questions they want to answer. shoot he even made the viewers feel comfortable by welcoming them. we need more people like him

God, I really love Zach's interviews. He is one of the only interviewers who really takes BTS serious as musicians and asks real, original questions and seems to really have done his homework on the albums he is interviewing the guys about.

I'm so happy to see namjoon relaxed in this interview.. Cuz he's always focused because he do most of the work in the "English interviews" and I'm happy that the members get the chance to talk about "BE" as a whole cuz obviously it meant a lot to them...
I felt like he was super fidgety actually...but I think he's going through a lot mentally right now. I always appreciate an interview that actually focuses on them as artists and their work. I get tired of the "hOw'S yOuR lOvE LIfE?" questions. Even the interview in Esquire focused on that for a minute and that's the main thing they put as Joon's quote, like really?
