If you're talking about the "gothic" guy, then the gray layer appears to be a long, collared _shirt,_ not a jacket. His actual jacket (a wool/velvet peacoat-ish thing) did not mesh with that outfit at all. It should have been shorter (like a waistcoat) or longer (like a proper overcoat).
When he was fully revealed and the camera zoomed in, it appeared to have a rough-ish texture to it as opposed to a smooth dress shirt style. It actually looks like a really cool piece.
He needed more accessories too to break up the monotony (like a crucifix necklace, a pocket watch, some rings, etc.). His look was the least complete of the bunch.
