true!! hopefully the kpop industry will continue to normalize idols opening up about their struggles may it be physically, mentally, emotionally, and etc. Because as of now there’s still a stigma regarding mental health and people saying that if you’re suffering mentally you’re just overacting or complaining too much but I think mental health is just as important as phyical health.

This episode was so interesting, with these four "older" girls talking very openly about their struggles and their mental health. Frequently, with girl groups, most of them are so young, they've barely begun to really discover themselves and don't have a lot of life experience yet. And while that youthful innocence can be cute and endearing, there's something to be said for the wisdom and perspective that comes with experience. These girls have clearly suffered a lot, yet they've supported one another through it all and are finally being rewarded for it. They remind me a bit of EXID in that sense. So lovely, I wish them much success and happiness from now on.

So tired of the anorexic teenage Girl Groups that are cranked out by the Korean entertainment companies. I am not criticizing the young idols, rather their companies that put so much pressure on often teenage girls. BG are women who are confident and comfortable in their own skin. It’s so refreshing.

The fact that they even practiced the double-speed challenge for Rollin' when it was released just in case if they were gonna be invited to Weekly Idol but unfortunately didn't happened since they had low popularity in SKor and the usual strat was to invite more famous groups for higher viewership. Them like, "why invite small artists if we can invite the bigger ones?", and that's the sad reality. Groups that debuted under a small company don't get a proper recognition and stay like that until their disbandment. Nowadays, if a small idol group releases a song, no matter how good it is, it will not rank in charts since fans mostly focus on their idols *only.* Unlike the earlier generations where a song doesn't need to be released by a bigger artist for it to be popular, if it is good and a bop, it will be popular because people were not that close-minded and would support the song wholeheartedly. But now seeing BG having their own Weekly Idol episode from a song released few years ago will make people emotional and a proof that fandoms can still actually unite to support an underappreciated group like BG. 😭😭😭

I think it’s just becuase minyoung did all the vocal challenges that they had someone else do the main dancer ones. Minyoung has been main vocal and main dancer since debut. And since she’s a dance teacher and former backup dancer I don’t think she’d get the position replaced.
